Corruption is not just stealing money .... There are rules that dictates the use of power, and PMB swore by the koran to uphold the constitution.

Gagging the opposition because they are opposition is wrong.

Let the court examine the evidence and give their verdict accordingly...he is presumed innocent till found guilty.

Why restrict access to him by order from the top?
Where is the gagging?
Did Metuh collect N400m from arms money or not? Yes, he did.
Has Buhari put him in prison without the court saying so? No, he hasn't.
Is it everybody that should have access to criminals awaiting trial? No.

So, what's your point?
Politics › Re: Deji Adeyanju Banned From Seeing Metuh In Prison by DropShot:
And on what ground must this nonentity be allowed to see a high profile criminal? Is he Metuh's lawyer, wife, son or what? This guy must obviously think too highly of himself to even think the presidency knows about his existence.

So that you can start ranting nonsense after your meeting with Metuh including what is true and what is not? Nonsense!

Era of impunity is gone with this administration!

Shame!

Is there anything to be proud about, or to fight over, in the two cases? Only shameless people will do that.

Facts:
1. Both are criminal suspects
2. Different corruption agencies are handling their case.
3. Different judges are involved.
4. Different details, different circumstances, and different disposition in bith cases.

Uncooperative attitude of Metuh, displaying of impunity towards law enforcers, plus his diarrhea mouth have meant that he is jointly a scape goat alongside Dasuki in the fight against corruption.

Perhaps you would want us to believe those two ministers are daft and don't know what they are doing. Why appoint them if that's what they are?
Going by your reasoning, appointed ministers should be allowed to take decisions at will without questioning. In case you don't know, it's that same style that made Jonathan's govt into an overall failure. Think deep!

Feeling of "Nigeria gave away too much" is relative and not absolute. What are the things Nigeria gave away in UAE agreeing to repatriate criminals and their loots?

Just to stoop a bit petty to your level :
You are not more pro-buhari than i am
You didn't contribute more to the installation of this government than i did.
I do not claim to have more grasp of current realities than you do.

So try to contain your emotion. It shouldnt be personal.
I don't even care to know how much you contributed in making PMB the president. Neither do I care how much you know about politics.

I just know you're not making any sense on this issue. Once we don't have the reasons for their position, it is idiotic for anyone to want to take a position.

Deal with the fact that you goofed big time on this, mister.

Metuh was reported to have eaten his own confessional statement to EFCC when asked to sign it. Hence he's charged for destroying evidence and has been remanded in prison for it.

Chicken Republic thus decided to mock him through this advert.

Your point of reference is merely a negligible error that is common with most reports.

Do not wait to be fed with boring specifics. Discern!

An encouragement for the president to utilise the human resources available to him should not be seen as an unfair criticism.
Keep quiet. You're not making any sense. Nobody can make any sense with this report without knowing the reasons for their position if they actually did oppose the president.

Where is your common sense?

Ain't they APC again? Or are you insinuating/assuming they've collaborated with PDP to run your Bubu down?

These people (Adeosun and Udoma) are experts in their field and they see what your god Bubu don't see and they must have told him of the implication of signing those agreement to the Nigerian economy.

But he's so blinded by he's desire to recover stolen funds/other sinister motives and thereby failing to listen to reasons from his anointed ministers.

Can you tell us the specific reasons given by those ministers for being against the agreement?
Then, we can be able to weigh their reasons against the president's.
Failing to do that only confirms you as a perpetual wailer.

I did not expect them to state their reasons in clear terms. No-one does that!

Remember, this is a leaked report of ministers disagreeing with their president on a foreign mission? Do you know the degree of courage demanded, and the sensitivity of the issues of contention for such a thing to happen?
Where have you ever heard a thing like this in the world?

The ministers' argument bothers on issues of national interest. Think about that.
And isn't it wrong for anyone to conclude that their reasons outweigh the president's reasons for signing the agreement without knowing what they were?

After all is said and done, the buck stops at the president's table. We blame GEJ for the rot in the economy for not being man enough to take some tough decisions in the interest of the nation, not necessarily because he personally did all the wrong things.

Think deep and stop acting irrational. That's for the wailers.

If you've got other reasons to be crossed with the president, fine. But on this one, you missed it.

Buhari keeps portraying himself as one who is running a punitive, sectional government.
Anger and vindictiveness can never experience creativity.

What effect can the likes of Osinbajo, Fashola, et al make in a government whose president understands very little of current dynamics but listens to no one other than the decisions of the Northern Elders Forum?
Has PMB's fight on corruption caught someone known to you? If not, why are you sounding so pained without even addressing the topic?
Politics › Re: Buhari Threatened To Sack Ministers Because Of Extradition Agreement With UAE by DropShot: 8:13am On Jan 23, 2016

Buhari should listen to good advice abeg. There is more to governance than the repatriation of stolen funds and jailing criminals.
His ill-advised (and unnecessary) delay in making key appointments is part of what led to the mess we're currently experiencing in this country.

As much as the war on corruption should be sustained, the president need not make it his own personal priority. There are lots of government agencies with competent hands to do that, with full presidential backing.
From this article, what specific reasons did you read that were given by Adeosun and Udoma for their position?
Politics › Re: Ijaw Elders Urge Buhari To Go After Militants In The Niger Delta by DropShot: 8:00am On Jan 23, 2016
Why do I love these people? I mean, the Ijaws, Itsekiris, Urhobos mostly behave nationalistic just as the Yorubas.

It's same with the Hausas and Fulanis, Igbiras, Jukuns, Binis and many other tribes. Hence you don't see any of them cry of witch hunting or supporting any bad egg amongst them such as Dasuki, Bafarawa, Yuguda, Dokpesi, Falae, Fani Kayode and so on.

The same cannot be said of a certain tribe across the Niger though. It is the reason they always think every other tribe is against them. They're permanently playing the victim card. What a people!

That is why the properties that have docs are deposited in the custody of the courts have CofO that are verifiable & have value of LIKE SUM....

We have totally bastardised the concept of bail & all thanks to that goes to the Nigerian Police Force..

We are confusing bail condition with fines & penalties for offences.

@OP , You are point......
Are you speaking from position of knowledge or from that of your thoughts?
Politics › Re: What Bail Conditions Really Mean by DropShot:
Op, I think you're wrong. The bail conditions must be perfected, including the money part, before the accused will be released. Check your facts as I check mine too.

Traditionally, bail is some form of property deposited or pledged to a court to persuade it to release a suspect from jail, on the understanding that the suspect will return for trial or forfeit the bail (and possibly be brought up on charges of the crime of failure to appear). In some cases, bail money may be returned at the end of the trial, if all court appearances are made, regardless of whether the person is found guilty or not guilty of the crime accused. If a bondsman is used and a surety bond has been obtained, the fee for that bond is the fee for the insurance policy purchased and is not refundable.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bail

From the emboldened, it's clear that the money has to be deposited with the court. If not, there won't be need for "bail money may be returned" after trial.
