Moji Christianah Adeyeye on her recent appointment as Director General of NAFDAC by the Federal Government. In his speech the Director of Health NYCN, DR. EZEKOYE PASCAL commended the federal government for taking the right step in the right direction, putting a square peg in a square hole by appointing a technocrat, a renowned and seasoned Professor of Pharmacy to head NAFDAC, we plead that use of technocrats should also be employed in other sectors. This is a long awaited actualization and fulfillment of desires and yearnings of Nigerians, it will not only help to ensure to effective and efficient productivity but will help to curb and eradicate the fake and substandard drugs and foods in our country. In the same vein, we wish to remind the Director General that to whom much is given, much is required, the fate of over 170 million Nigerians lies on her hand, its high time she take the bull by horn and eradicate the fake and substandard drugs/foods that is gradually rearing up its deadly head hence endangering the lives of Nigerians, we plead that she will help restore the dignity of the agency which lost its glory since late Prof. Dora Akunyili left. sgtponzihater:You are on point Mi Chief, I concurr |
HIScraziness:The problem is that most students underrate Biochemistry because its not as voluminous as Anatomy( which has 3 areas- Gross anatomy,.most voluminous, then Histopathology and finally Embryology) and Physiology which is also voluminous. Most time because Anatomy has new terminologies ( sounding like Greek to you after reading it the first time with compulsory headache that comes with it on the first day you read it) and is very voluminous, they lay more emphasis on it and physio trying to clam every thing in anatomy and physiology which is not possible, now when the exam is close , they will rush to Biochemistry to just scramble over it without know that the pathways are not a.walkover especially if you don't take special cognisance on the enzymes, so towards the exam they get more confuse than confidence. The truth is that lack of or poor counselling contributes too because if you have a.senior brother or sister in the college especially in senior class, you hardly Gail the exams because they will guide you and tutor you on the relevant things to read and hownto clam better or what each lecture always want or which of the lecturers can set question because not all the questions set by the lecturers are used at times they go to question bank and get questions of years back and use it. |
Jman06:My bro, we don't argue on what is verifiable, forget ,what they tell you is different from what happens at the board meeting before the results are published, this is not issue of pharmacy or health sciences, Nsukka is not far from Enugu, go and see things by yourself. This is social media, so won't want to talk much. Pls ask your self why most students that go for remarking end up passing the same course they were said to have failed. But note that they won't want you to go for it, beacaus of the threats associated with it and how they will purposely delay it to frustrate you for a year or more. We have been previlege to observe the board meeting not once or twice, so this is not hear say or ideal thing but the reality. Now I can comfortable tell you that the number of students that pass each MB is dependent on the decision of the dean , and the ruling cabal of lecturers. Occasionally the provost has an input if there are protest or squabbles during the board meeting. Why is that results are not published by the departments, why must all be collated and debated on by the board before it is released? Pls also note that in medicine, they still.practice quota system especially in 2mb. That you are in pharmacy is good but your relationship (course wise) with medical students ends after first year before their crossover, then they are not even regarded as medical students, it those that passed this exam now are medical students. So your Nsukka standard and orientation are completely different, go and see by yourself, its when they cross over that they face the reality of being in medical college. |
Jman06:Bros, the standard are not the same , you can't compare both though dental is also hard but not as tough as medicine. During second MB exam, the cut off mark for dental are reduced below that of medicine but that of medicine is not reduced rather can even be upgraded if so many people passed ,.so as to reduce the quota or number of people going into the next class. Pls am.speaking in relation to UNN where I graduated from , don't know of other schools or college of medicine. But the funny aspect of all these exam is that if your father is a doctor and a lecturer in the college, it earns you outright pass with little input from you so there is no equity or fair judgement. |
kolado:How you wan compare MB with Bar Exam, nawaaooo, pls how many Bar Exams do you write, medical.students write 2nd,3rd,4th and 5 MBs(all are professional exams) even write Primaries after graduation and you are comparing the least professional medical exam to the only professional law exam (just only one). I won't blame you for ignorance is a disease. |
Has been like this from the onset of the school, UNN college of medicine lecturers always believe the more students fail the better the standard of the school,, they posses Sadist attitude towards exams , only few exceptionally good ones like Prof. Onwasoigwe, Dr Nwagha . Aside these ones, others are naturally born sadist. Thank God we jumped and pass them |
Pls Op, don't misinform people, the vagina has no gland , rather its is lubricated from secretions from batholin s gland and cervical gland, not from vaginal wall.or vaginal folds. Also the vagina is expected to be cleaned daily during bath with only water without soap. The vagina doesn't clean itself, the individual must clean it. Thanks |
That test is not yet confirmatory, moreover it didn't specify the one done , SEROLOGY FOR HIV 1 or HIV 2, Anyway will advise her not to jubilate yet, till she repeat the test after 3-6months because she can be positive but it will show negative if it is during the window period of the virus. This doesn't completely signify that the person is negative except if its ANTIGEN TEST (PCR) that one is more confirmatory. But if actually she is being framed up, let her report the matter to.police for onward prosecution of the culprits for character assassination and defamation. |
I taught KCEE once said he picked HARRYSONG from beer parlour. This write up showed that its not even 5star music that discovered him but rather another record label but they have been claiming the glory. Whichever be the case ,let them settle but the truth remains that you can't prevent a STAR from shining, HARRYSONG is a great star and so he shall remain but if its true he violated his contract, then he messed up full-time, let him go and settle outside the court if not they will frustrate him. He should learn to keep his mouth shut, let his music speak for him, not telling the whole world na you dey write song for this or that, you don get sponsor etc |
Wow, that's great |
The whole story is one sided and fishy, so a Doctor just started beating a nurse by 5am because she corrected him, pls this is story for the God. The earlier you know your senior and superior in profession the better for you. Nobody forced you to be a nurse, so be contended with what you chosed for yourself and not antagonising or beefing others. He is the head of your team, so learn to take orders from him or her. I thank God for the kind of training Doctors receive in medical college which makes them humble because if not worst scenarios will be occurring. While medical practice teaches you to be humble and accept insults even from patients, I wonder if nurses are taught the same , from the way they attend to patients will show you they are not happy with their profession. Let's wait for the second version of the story and not this media sympathy or attention seekers. Panels must be set to handle the matter and both of them will be penalised if found wanting but the nurses will always support their own even if she is wrong. Ask your self have you ever seen a nurse criticise her fellow nurse in open , why, but Doctors have nothing to hide and knowing fully well that human life is involved will caution the fellow doctor immediately, so why doctors are battling to save life, nurses are busy saving and.packaging their profession.which one is more important (the patient life or your profession) |
LMAO, Wonderful concept |
Damage control |
*Thank you* _thank you_ ~thank you~ '''Thank you''' |
Huston1:Bros eeeee, Hmmm Your wife need very strict measures if not she won't change, this is your home not her parents home, that her Dad condoned it, is not the reason that you too should. So wake up from your dreams, she can change but it will require a lot from you. DISCIPLINE AND STERN RULES with little incentives/pampering, if not your children will follow her footstep. A stitch in time saves nine |
She need to visit a Tertiary hospital now or a specialist hospital manned by a gynaecologist, She need to be properly clerked and examined, then adequately investigated including doing abdominopelvic ultrasound for her, urine m/,c/s, mp, ECS m/c/s, blood culture etc. They also need to commence her on broad spectrum antibiotics if need be. The truth is that you can't manage a patient by hearsay but by interacting directly with the patient in question. Pls next time don't put the life of a young woman at risk, better use condoms, at worst coitus interupticus will help. Won't advice you on contraceptives except after proper counselling because each has it's adverse effects. Pls take her to any specialist (gynaecologist) around you or a teaching hospital. Remain blessed. |
My brother when one door closes, so many more opens I think this is the beginning of your success in life, go home sit down and think,on ho to establish yours, it might not be easy at first but I assure you with tenacity, hardworking, prayers and an understanding and loving wife by your side, the sky will be your starting point and Not your limit. You will make IJN |
Wonderful concept, Its cool Wishing them HML |
It's a free world....... There are different forms of madness |
So they don't find it worthy to have ST Igbo and ST Hausa, being our indigenous own satellite Station, Till then, BYE BYE |
In as much as am not meant to judge but I smell rat in the whole saga, this is damage control, The family was busy to pay off salaries of workers, pay off debts owned by the ministry but not keen to pay off the house rent of their late brothers wife, are they not aware of the expiration of the rent, or is it not part of the debt owed by their late brother, i wonder the kind of Landlord that will throw away tenants property because his rent expired a month ago, without atleast 6months grace even a qiut notice and you people kept quite about it. From every indication and the write up, it shows they are suspecting this woman for being responsible to their brothers death, does it mean one cannot die without being sick, no body forced you not to do autopsy, after all you have the wherewithal to fund it, if you are suspecting her, come out openly and accuse her not by funny body languages. This woman didn't rush to press at the onset, rather it was a day after the incident appear in press that she granted her own interview so don't judge her as if she is the one that casted you people, after all what will she gain to blackmail your family but this a woman crying out for what she is passing through. Pls I beg all of you to stop washing your dirty linen in the public, this woman for the virtue of fact that she is married to your brother ,means she is your wife and relation and need to be catered for before she stabilises. Her children must be put into consideration if any. Madam widow, your in-laws are your family, if there is any form of maltreatment to you, reach out to the elders in the family to intervene, also learn to respect your in-laws. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL ![]() |
