Wike set up a probe panel, given, but is he an anti-graft agency, NO. Just because Wike has joined the corruption brouhaha nonsense, does not make it right. The fact is this new baseless, unethical dispensation has infected everyone, including you, with the inability to understand what is right, proper and what is not. It is in no way the place of the govenor to do the job of the EFCC. That too goes for the President. The EFCC has the jurisdiction and the capacity to unearth, investigate and prove conclusively corruption cases against nefarious characters in our society. So therefore they do not need the government to prioritize their cases for them. This is my comprehension of the facts on ground and not what the media tells me to think

I see nothing wrong for a state governor or president investigating their predecessors and reporting same to the efcc. the efcc just like the police cannot have knowledge of what is going on in every home. they rely on information from people to acknowledge crime and carry out their investigations. so I supported the probe of Amaechi by Wike and I think that should be the norm of governmence at every level so that our leaders while in office would not take us for a ride. my problem with wike and the PDP is that after their probe which they found nothing they resorted to petty propaganda and smear campaign against the general of common sense revolution

On the contrary, you are the one who's making me gag with laughter. The petitions against Amaechi were submitted December 2014. Which was months before the elections. EFCC failed to act on them, that's why the PDP are reminding the agency about it. It has nothing to do with Wike.
Also your post lacked clarity. Try and improve on the construction of your sentences

EFCC under the past administration was not in the business of influencing the prioritization of cases handled by the EFCC. The PDP decided to take this road as a way to confront the selective witch hunting started by the APC

Its the responsibility of the anti corruption agencies to investigate corruption cases and no other. If this was the norm, we wouldn't be having the comedy half hour show we are seeing right now with this government. The President has to understand that delegation of duties is the way to run a government and not attempt running the country in a military fashion. The investigation of corruption cases should be the job of the agencies, and not that of the politicians.
PS: There have been petitions- sorry to say- submitted to the EFCC on alleged financial discrepancies by the Amaechi government, so discontinue this idea that there is no evidence against Amaechi.

efcc under GEJ administration did not investigate Amaechi or his commissioners for corruption maybe they don't find any reason to do that. GEJ lost and the PDP suddenly want efcc to investigate Amaechi because they are so pained that their nightmare would occupy some juicy position. hahahahhahaha

What did Ameachi inherit? Thank God Peter Odili and Oneya are alive hail and herty.

What did Ameachi generate from the Center( Federal Allocation and windfalls) IGR and Loans?

What did Ameachi achieve interms of overall management of the state, socio-politicl and economic development? Economic growth and Development.

What did Ameachi leave behind interms of debt and expected accruals to the state by its own debtors? If any.

Did Ameachi damage all documents to this effect or killed everybody that worked in his administration for 8yrs?

Now Wike and the PDP should do the needful and stop all this "plenty noise" we are a civilized people and we don't want to be toyed with

Efcc must probe amaechi, efcc must probe amaechi. Come to equity with clean hands. Buhari has not started probe on the education sector yet. By the time he starts they shall all see that after the nnpc the next area that was embezzled terribly was the education sector. Wike stole billions of dollars there., ubec and others. Buhari will get to him. God help him let tribunal remove him for 6 months.

you don't really understand the cruse of this discussion efcc can not just go about wasting their time and little resources on probe without having any concrete case against an individual. wike's panel aught to have came up with a well articulate evidence of corruption against Amaechi and forward same to the efcc. but guess what they did not find any. Now due to desperation and heart break pdp has resorted to propaganda and backyard journalism efcc can not take such people seriously
