Thank you for your response. My current situation is that I live in the Uk and will not be in the bank in person. I require the statement to be signed and stamped. I was wondering if I could ask my accounts officer to authorize my sister (a former staff of diamond bank) to collect the statement in a branch close to her on my behalf
It is very possible. If you have a relationship with your account officer you just contact him/her via telephone that you need a duly statement of account and you will like your sister to receive it for you. Then courier a handwritten or typed instruction duly signed according to your mandate to your branch with the particulars of your sister preferably her international passport, passport number and the branch she would be picking it from in the body of the letter. If you still have the telephone number linked to the account, include it in the letter and make sure the line is active. You can also request for an email indemnity form which can be faxed to you after which you print&sign and courier to the bank. Thereafter you can communicate with your account officer via email. On the other hand, if are registered on internet banking platform and you have access to a token, you can send a secure email to your account officer and your request will be treated with uttermost urgency.

My boyfriend said I should buy him Gucci Driver shoes worth N93k when I am coming home for Christmas break, said he will give me the money when I come back. This is going to be the first time we will meet since we started our fragile relationship 9 months ago, we knew a bit in University few years ago.

Severally, I have told my boyfriend prior to now that I cannot afford it. Last before now, he said "but you can start saving now and you will get the money before your arrival". So this time, to be the virtuous girlfriend, I had to go all out and check up the prices for this shoe.
I think he assumes that because I am a self-sponsored student abroad, I am Dantata's love child. cool
Anytime i debunk this claim, he goes like "haba!" and angry angry

Asin within or without the timehuh Which time una wan make them de ply?? Before the try such, the should consider somethings....
1. Are there good roads??
2. In case of accidents, are there functioning emergency lines??
3. Are there standby ambulance trucks??
4. Are there enough and functional fire service trucks through out the state??
5. Don't the think the high rate of truck snatching and diversion would increase, are there steps to curtail this??
6. Is there functional street lamps to serve as broadlight to the drivers??
7. Don't the think drivers would tend to sleep off on the wheels since its night??
8. Petroleum truck drivers, is there any law binding them against drunk driving and if there is any, would any agency be there to enforce it??
9. Don't u think accidents are not majorly caused by carelessness to bad roads??
10. There should be a law or an experte law compelling FRSC to work at night, and if there is, then the should be adequately trained to sooth their new roles....
Lemme drop for now...
By the way am FTC.... No big deal... Just a bit of joblessness....not saying am jobless though...
Story for the gods Mr.. Seems you are a truck owner. As long as the truck is not carrying perishable goods, then I don't think there is any reason why they should be on the road during peak periods. It's the norm in developed countries. Lives are more precious than goods. Therefore, trucks should move between 10pm and 5am.

In otherwords students do not need to book return tickets. I pray this is so though.
That's correct

If you are going as a student you should get a return ticket.
UKBA might cause problems with a one way ticket, but Nigerian airport staff will make your life very hard.
Only tourist are required to travel with a return ticket if you are a student (with a valid resident permit), you do not need to book a return ticket.

I am sorry to say this but you are such an idiiiot.
"more appointments coming" really?

What stopped him from appointing people from other tribes first?
He first of all, chose Adesina so he could humiliate him into announcing his one sided cabinet for him.
And the Yoruba thought he recognised them.

This Dullard doesn't know how far Nigeria has gone.

BTW what other appointments are there?

Immigration gone.
Custom gone.
Inec gone.
Chief of army gone.
Ssg gone..
Maritime gone.

What other appointments are you talking about?

Ministers would be my guess right..
Ministers he already said won't be awarding contracts.

A society like Nigeria is where this old man is playing this game.
Let's watch and see.
So all you care about are contracts right? Don't you think your comment is myopic? I guess you've only made it to this point because of contracts gotten through your tribesmen right?

I used UBA. They didn't require any invoice. All they asked for was that I print out the bank information for the school's account. They assumed that it was sent to me but I told them it was just placed on their website. So I had to print that page and submitted that with other documents needed. Hope that helped. Also my admission letter had a second page with the cost of my tuition fee stated.

I have realized that GTB is trying to be a troublesome bank.
Most of the staff don't even know what they are doing. Imagine Bankers telling me COT is N3 in 2015, one even said she was not sure. I just shook my head in disgust. Imagine if I was a mystery shopper, they would have received their sack or caution letters before EOD.

MrMarcus:
if you can't get an invoice from your school, then what you can actually do is print any page containing the details of your school and amount to be paid.
CBN rules wants to know that the money is actually meant for schooling issues that's the reasoning.

Also you can request a letter from your school tell them to reflect your name, details and exact amount to be paid. it may be addressed to whom it may concern. but on your school logo.
Tell them its part of your countries forex monetary policy.
Thank you for yyour input. All these info are on the offer letter. I sent a mail to my account officer and she confirmed that I do not need an invoice or bill, so i'll go back to the branch and give them a piece of my mind. If they refuse i'll use Union Bank.

I used form A. The bank requires your admission letter. I never got an invoice from my school. I just paid the deposit and sent the info to my school and they included it on my cas.. I hope that helps.
Thank you for your reply. Please what Bank did you use? I just left GTB now and I was told that I need to get an invoice or bill from the school.

Pls house, those who used Form A to pay their tuition fees, kindly assist. Is the conditional letter enough to satisfy the bank requirement or I need to get an invoice from the University?

It's GEJ's achievement.

Buhari can revive a refinery in two months but he can't stop Boko Haram or salvage the naira's abysmal plunge?

The same Buhari that has been more outside the country than in it?

The one whose only achievement is updating pictures?

That looks strongly like an Agent, I am not convinced that the information is correct.
There is a Very simple answer.
Instead of asking here for peoples oppinion, YOU should contact the U.K.B.A. either in the U.K. or Nigeria and ask them.
They will only say yes or no. Nothing else will happen to you!

"Can my spouse study while gaining entry on my tier 4 visa? Or does she need her own study visa?"

Ask UKBA this question, then post the answer here for all to learn
Man, you don't have to take the fact that i put a link on here that contradicts ur opinion personal. What you could have done is post an official link that corroborates your post. Last i heard, this forum is a place where one can ask questions on grey areas with regards to UK immigration. rules.

Hi house, packaging my application docs. A quick one...which is preferable, i have two choices for a diploma in geomatics/surveying. I'm trying to decide which i should enroll for, a 2yr diploma in surveying directly where i get one certificate or a [b]1 yr diploma as a survey technician and another year diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology in the same school and i get two certificates?

@Emasel: Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's a visitor Visa. That's what i feel too. I'm thinking or re applying and attaching a letter stating I attached 2 bank statements with their total balances indicated.

hi, i applied for a SA visa an got denied for reason 'insufficient funds'. Although i'm very curious because i submitted 2 statement of account. My salary account had 150k and my savings a/c had 800k, making a total of 950k. So is 950k not enough for to prove to the officer that i have enough funds?

Anthonymighty: Bro i'd advice you pay the fee because they cant lie to you they didn't get the money if they truly got it. I remember when i was traveling to the UK and i used my FirstBank Visa card to book for Hotel reservation and they accepted it only for them to tell me at the dieing minute that they could not authorize my card and no amount was charged and my reservation was cancelled. I was so mad because i tot they had charged me and lied. but when i called my bank they told me there was a problem with my credit card at that time because the funds i transferred into Card from my dom account wasn't actually processed at that time but it was showing on my online account balance summary as processed. So you gotta contact your bank to find out if you were actually remitted on the day you made that application fee payment. Or better still just pay the fee because it might boomerang on you big time bro...Little things can turn to big tinz for yankee. Cheers!
webstradamus: ^^^^ Did you really pay the fees? It's sometimes possible for an online transaction to be flagged as successful but the money never remitted to the school. Did you check with your bank thereafter to confirm if the money was actually debited? I'd strongly advise you settle with the school before applying for any US visa to avoid any silly complications.
Thanks you guys, my card was debited of the funds, because i did take the matter up with GTB. Well no qualms, will make sure i pay it before i apply for the Visa. Thanks once again..

Hi there, i am presently studying in the UK (M.Sc.), i want to apply for a tourist visa to visit the United States. Prior to my travel to the UK, i applied for a students visa to the United States, but i was denied based on my own doing(really i was trying hard to leave Nigeria at that time. i actually applied for another B.Sc when i already had a B.Sc. with good grades (2.1) and i had a good job, didn't take TOEFL and all that, i guess the VO saw through me). Don't let me bore you guys with my stories. After i was denied the Visa, the school sent me a mail that i'm owing $132.00. On querying the school, they replied that i did not pay my application fees which i paid, the school claimed there was an issue with their IT at that time and i should provide proof of payment which is the last 4 digits of the card i paid with. At this time, i had misplaced the card. Although i got an online receipt for the transaction, the school claimed that i needed to produce the last 4 digits of the card.( I paid the application fee over 18 months before i completed my documentation and applied for VISA and we all know its impossible for the school to process the application without paying the fees),in addition, the fee for posting the I-20 was lodged into my account with the school. I was furious and disappointed as i didn't get the Visa, so up till now, i have not paid the $132.50 (i was denied in 2011). The school still send me the bill monthly. My question is can i apply for a tourist visa without paying the school? Will my application be successful? What do you guys suggest? Thank you!
