By default, under-display fingerprint sensors are a premium flagship affair. Only the most advanced of smartphones had them. But the shift downwards has started and under-display sensors are now showing up inside budget smartphones. For the purpose of this list, we are looking at smartphones that cost no more than $350 or €350 at the most. Let's look at what is available and which is the best. The itel S23+ (or S23 Plus, depending on how you choose to write it) is a sleek 4G phone with premium features like an AMOLED curved screen, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, 8GB of RAM, another 8GB of Extended RAM, and 256GB of storage space. All of these features in a smartphone that costs less than ₦150,000. What we have here is an affordable smartphone with some premium features. I think it is a bold move that makes sense. I definitely find the whole idea intriguing. Which is why I got my hands on one, so I could explore the package. You know how we do it here at Mobility Nigeria: we tell it all – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Mercedes-Benz has upset many pundits who expected that Tesla would be the first carmaker to attain Level-3 autonomy. We have had varying experiences, mostly good, and some poor, with MTN 5G. See details in the link below. Mobility Nigeria’s MTN 5G review |
We took a 5G smartphone along for use in our tests, and used the Ookla speed test app all through. The tests were conducted in Lagos, because that is our location. We also got someone to do speed tests in Ibadan, and we have included their feedback in this MTN 5G review. We drove from Ikeja City Mall through Oregun, Opebi, and Allen Avenue, to check for 5G coverage for our tests. We hit jackpot along Kudirat Abiola Way in Oregun when the network icon changed from 4G LTE to 5G. And from there, we began to run our speed tests. The 5G icon stayed on the phone all the way through Opebi, Allen, and Obafemi Awolowo Way up till Coca-Cola, after which it disappeared. Read the full story: MTN 5G review by Mobility Nigeria.

There is no Tesla Pi. This hoax should have died a long time ago. |
In a historic moment, this morning, MTN Nigeria switched on its 5G network in Lagos and Abuja. The first 5G network in Nigeria is live. But even the most affordable 5G phones in the market today still cost a small fortune. Not a lot of people can afford to spend over ₦100,000 on a smartphone. Which must be a dampener for those looking to have a taste of 5G Internet on the MTN network (at this time, MTN is the only 5G player in the Nigerian market until January 2023, at the least, thanks to the extension granted Mafab Communications). But there is a way out – one that costs at least half the price of the cheapest 5G phone in the market: MTN 5G routers. A router is a device that connects to a wireless network and allows multiple devices to use the same Internet connection. An MTN 5G router does just that, but in this case connects to MTN’s 5G network and allows you to share it via a WiFi hotspot to your smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc. MTN 5G router allows you to connect up to 32 devices and comes with 100 GB data bonus on activation. Can’t Afford a 5G phone yet? An MTN 5G Router is the cheapest way to use 5G immediately

This morning, I popped in my Glo SIM card into my phone, and put the phone down to attend to something. When I came back to it, the phone had picked a network signal, and to my surprise, I found a “5G” icon in the notification bar. Glo 5G? In my mind, all I could think was, “Glo has come with wonder wonder again o!”. And I didn’t mean that in a complimentary way. Glo 5G: Come and see American wonder

Every other day, someone sends me a link about the Tesla Model Pi smartphone that has been supposedly announced by billionaire techie, Elon Musk. And every single time, I find a way to not say anything about it, because I do not want to be that guy. Some minutes ago, I saw another “news” item about this mythical phone, and I decided that I’d write about it. I hate to be that guy, but today, I am. Here is the complete truth about the Tesla Model Pi. Read the full article: Tesla Model Pi phone and the million-dollar question for Elon Musk
