Nice one. For petroleum engineering questions, last year questions weren't actually thermal enhanced oil recovery so to say, the questions were more of production engineering. Flow patterns in vertical and horizontal pipes (their characteristics, how they are formed and so on), wax precipitation (cloud point, pour point, etc), maybe 3-5 calculation questions(API gravity and so on). About 30+ true or false questions, questions with options (the options look ambiguous but its not). Some questions are exact opposite of another question (so if u miss one, u will likely miss the second one), some questions are set twice (maybe 1or2). In a nutshell, prepare for important parts of PE and at the same do not neglect those seemingly unimportant parts. Those going for Sedimentary basin and evolution make sure you read sedimentary environments and their features, types of basins and their formation maybe tectonic plates too sha. 1.There are no recent past questions for the examination in public domain. PTDF has no fixed pattern per se. Questions change always especially for the subject specific areas.The examiners are Professionals. Study smart.
2.The examination is very competitive. Little things matter and can swing the tide in your favour.
3.No option is easy as you think.Focus on your area. The questions are usually simple ( not hard) but can be tricky. Sometimes, the question types can be loop -sided. For example, Petroleum engineering will just focus on thermal enhanced oil recovery methods, Renewables on biofuels, Design of rotating machines on Welding, Environmental engineering on TLVs etc.
4. Most states are very competitive. So people score very high and they do not make it for this reason.
5. Group the various areas into many smaller groups.Then , you can have an idea of where you fall under and the questions you will likely answer.
6.I'm not sure the budget had too much to do with the delay. There's some internal restructuring going on in PTDF. Some people were sacked because of corruption.
7. PhD hopefuls like us need to just be at their best. Very competitive selection process.
8.Pray and ask God to crown your effort with success. Many people need this as you do too. Something has to tilt the balance in your favour.

It was written in the application. However, People who are not lecturers still apply and get the scholarship.

It is not a requirement ooo. You don't have to be a lecturer before you can apply for PTDF scholarship PhD category. Its not written anywhere on their site.

Admission without transcript ? No serious school will give you admission without a transcript. That's the main document as a matter of fact. Other things are secondary. Your transcript shows the previous courses taken and the admission officer will use it to judge your suitability for your proposed course of study.

You can actually apply for admission without transcript. If you graduated with a 2.1, you'll be given conditional offer pending when you submit your transcripts. You can do as hiccups as suggested.

You are wrong. The last set of awardees names were published by NDDC. Also, many people got it without knowing someone. I know alot of brilliant folks who got it.The only issue with the scholarship is prompt payment of scholars.

i know so many people who wrote the exam for the last scholarship... none of them got it... all from niger delta... they never publish names of successful candidates... lets know where the money is going....

lol You are right though. NDDC can be useful to people who already have the funds to pay for their studies. Anytime, NDDC decides to pay, it becomes a bonus. Aside that, I really don't advise anyone to hope solely on it. PTDF is alot better than NDDC in that regard.

He wants to go for another one now simply because he has got funding from some external sources. His masters degree is different from the one he has applied for now. I doubt if the UK embassy will grant him another tier 4 visa. Though , the university has admitted him after successfully proving that his new course is needed for career progression. I adviced him to go to another country but he is bent on going to the UK because of the short duration of a UK degree. What are the chances that he wil be granted another tier 4 visa? Thanks.

Can you prove number two with examples? I am not sure you know what it takes to become a Professor in Nigeria. No Professor will bring himself low except he is a person of little worth. Some of those stories you hear are made up.

I just received a mail from Kerry Group telling me that I have passed the video interview. Did anyone receive this too ? As odd as it sounds,they said not everyone will be invited for the Assessment center in February.Fingers crossed though.

I think they have an office in Nigeria.But I don't think they are recruiting for their Nigerian office.It is a graduate scheme so I believe resumption is September 2016.I am not sure of the pay structure but it should be more than 25,000 pounds per annum.They recruit foreigners but what I am not sure is if they sponsor people outside the UK or those without UK degrees.I may be wrong though.

Wow, happy for you. As for my nunerical, I dont know if i did wel, maybe that's why I've not been invited for verbal. My first numerical tho, as per aptitude tests are concerned, I hope to keep improving.

They didn't send me any acknowledgment message.I just received the invite for verbal one hour later. I believe it will come.I just received an email informing me that I have progressed to the video interview stage

Did they send you any message after you finished your numeracy? I mean, before you were invited for verbal.

I've not been able to take the test using Chrome and Firefox... it keeps saying Adobe Flash plug-in is disabled or outdated .. I followed their link and installed but still same issue.
