The issue is you said there was a difference according to you, between an atheist ("An atheist is someone who has already been a Christian." and a true atheist (A true atheist is born into one particular religion) which you now appreciate that there is no difference in what you said. So that is out of the way.

And of course, if there is no Christ, there won't be antichrist exactly as their is no antimatter if there is no matter, so this goes without saying

Firstly ,you can not use your own standards or upbringings or intellects to judge everyone's else .

Two ,even before the 80s we have prominent Nigerian atheists I've mentioned earlier ,and yes , if these people are atheists then there's more atheists ,in fact where I came from ,you will find it very hard to see a traditional worshipper ,about 95% are Christians and the rest Muslim ,what these denotes is that your experience or reality is not the standard of every one else .,later on in my teen years ,I know another history teacher personally from afar that's an atheist.

Three, there's no atheism in American movies ,if I'm lying mention popular American movies that's atheism themed that's designed to convince people to become atheist and it's popular in Nigeria .

So in your thinking ,if I'm not capable of coming to the conclusion that religion is fake by myself ,where do the other people that influenced me got their conclusions from ? You see why you're wrong ? The only thing you can say is that atheism or irreligiousness spread in 2010s is because of the internet,myself was part of several groups especially on Facebook that engaged people in debates and encourages closeted atheists to come out .

About my initial thought ,as I've said earlier,you can not judge your everyone else based on your level of intelligence or exposure,some of us can infer things from abstract levels and that's why I was able to question the idea of God based on God the father and son alone because it doesn't make sense ,while I eventually became very fervent in Christianity in my teen years and look forward to becoming a pastor ,I eventually gave it up before I clock 20! ,mind you ,no internet or access to books during those times ,I was the only one in every community I find myself to be an atheist and yes ,I came out .

I think you're one of the people that see USA as the standard of everything in the world ,some of us don't .

How do you think we know that a person is lying? It is because our experiences are the same and in testament to intellect, you were there when some of us answered that 1+1 was 3 and many of us laughed at him till he got that the answer was 2.

Secondly, in the 80s, people were either Christians, Muslims or juju worshippers and it was only in the 90's as more people came out from the University that they even heard/knew the meaning of the word atheist. So Soyinka and Tai claiming atheist had no meaning to people cept that it means they are juju worshippers who say that they are not leaving their juju. Of which Soyinka has confirmed that he preferred juju over Christianity.

So, it was in the late 2000s, when American movies started openly advocating for atheism and atheists ideas, in addition to "i just got back from Americas/Europe" that people started to follow and worship atheism.
