Kobojunkie:
➜David attained the status of righteous man of YHWH of Israel - man after YHWH's own heart - meeting YHWH's criteria for blessings in the Law of Moses, and hence had the guarantee of YHWH of Israel's forgiveness of sins.
Stop talking rubbish, he had guarantee yet God did not forgive his sin against Uriah and Isreal?

AntiChristian:
Are you saying God used more killings, adultery and fornication to punish David's adultery and murder? grin

There's no fairness at all in the Bible's lens of judgement..
Does The Law not say an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, which every reasonable person has called very Just, Fair and Right?

Therefore, as he murdered, murder entered his house and as he adulteried someone's wife, so did they adultery his wife. Just is served. And that is what God is reserving for you and when the time comes, you would eat it without fail. Continue

Omoslim26:
He told them thou shall not kill, Jesus Christ comes to tell them, if You hate Your brother in Your heart, You have already killed Him.
What killed Moses?
ANGER!!...
You are wrong! Nothing killed Moses. The only loss he had was that God did not let him enter the promise land because of the grave error he made.

And the error was
12And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Nothing like anger here.

It is a scientific fact that the size of the bowl limits the growth of the fish.
It is the same thing with RELIGION!
It limits your intellect. That is why people like you attempt to limit an so called omniscient and omnipotent being to human capacity.
All gods were created by minds of men to CONTROL other men.

You are wrong in those 2 points.
Religion didn't introduce God's universal love for humanity. The Bible is clear on that. All who come to God will not be rejected by him. All people everywhere who fear and acknowledge him will be saved by him.

Do you mind sharing how religion introduced God's universal love?
You are not fully right for you have not taking in that those who rejected and abused His Love are usually not taking back again eg Esau, Saul, Solomon, Judas Iscariot etc..

People do not see that God first loves us even when they do not know Him

You don't seem to understand what kobojunkie is telling you, and he himself does not understand that you did not get his points.

What he's trying to tell you is that David didn't sin in the first place to warrant any favor or mercy for sins. He's accusing you of making David a sinner by your statement. He is not confirming the fact that sinners can get mercy from God. He condemning your position that makes David a sinner for doing Saul's bidding at the risk of his own life.
I believe he understands but he is just saying that he won't argue with him

When the bible described him as a man after God's heart what wrong had he done then?

And what is wrong in over destroying and over disgracing enemies?

King Saul made this very request not God. If you are not deceptive the text explicitly said Saul devised this plan because he wanted David to die in battle. But to his surprise David fulfilled his demand. The passage does not say God commanded the collection of foreskins or commended David for doing so, also it occurred during a wartime.

Israel and the Philistines were in a prolonged military conflict. The foreskins was more like proof that the slain enemies were uncircumcised Philistines, because dem no dey gree circumcise then, making it an evidence that David had indeed completed the task.

"A man after God's own heart" no mean say David dey morally perfect. It is not a claim that every action David took reflected God's ideal moral standard. David did not shout OH GOD!! while slaying these enemies, God no direct am or promise am virgins to do so.
Very clear but trust evu people to turn it evil

If I am the devil for suggesting that wives should bring in struggling fellow women, then what do you call:..
Why don't you lead by example. Let your wife start taking in struggling fellow men as her husbands, then we would know that you are serious for God Said "Do unto others what you want done to three".

So if you're going to demand an explicit "thou shalt not" for polygamy, you're admitting that there is no explicit prohibition—which means it's not a sin.

Because if it were a sin, God would have said so plainly—just like He did for:

Adultery: "Thou shalt not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14)..

God explicitly prohibited polyandry (women having multiple husbands). But He never prohibited polygyny (men having multiple wives).
Here is the "Thou shalt not" against polygamy

Deuteronomy 17:17 "Neither shall he multiply wives to himself,"

This expressly prohibits polygyny

Nice twist, but here's the flaw:

Adultery requires actual sex with someone who is NOT your spouse.

.
Did you not hear what Jesus Said Matthew 5:28 that you don't need to have actual sex to be guilty of adultery?

Do you mean before marrying the person or after the marriage?
Of course! Are you not talking about your pre marriage plan of a wife telling her own husband to go and take another person who he is going to have sex with even though he is married?

So it is about his before he marries the person, the potential co adulterer.

So, is he and his wife not guilty of adultery presuming the other lady is not aware of he and his wife's intention?

RightToReject:
Stop equating being understanding to being spineless. I wonder why you small people keep propounding and propagating all manner of nonsense from your parochial enclaves.

Being understanding means genuinely comprehending someone's perspective while still maintaining your own boundaries. Being spineless, however, means abandoning your own standards, values, or well-being to avoid conflict or keep others happy.
Correct.

Understanding does not always mean cowardice. However, it usually is. So, it is not that being an understanding person is bad but that they must learn to not to UNREASONABLY lose ground and MUST know where the RED LINE is.

However, condition always bends crayfish

Excellent question! Let's define it clearly so there's NO confusion:

Adultery = Sexual relations between a married person and someone who is NOT their spouse.
Good!
Is the person the married man wants to have sex with, his wife?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Better To Be A Harlot Or A Sister-wife? A Call To Biblical Generosity by Dtruthspeaker:
Janadozz:
Ah, now you're getting to the real question! 😏 Let me answer you plainly:

Yes, he will have sex with her. That's literally part of marriage (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).

But here's where your logic trips over itself:

1. The wife isn't telling him to commit adultery—she's telling him to legalize the relationship.
If he's going to have sex with someone outside marriage, that's adultery.
Good! you admit that he, married man is going to have sex with her, please what is the definition of adultery?
