However, it may not be a SIN if a man has more than one wife based on the reason that a moral SIN in the NEW Testament remains a SIN in the OLD Testament...!
Is this not your statement insinuating so?

1. You were NOT listening to me at all
2. You had a preconceived notion of what you think I am saying and you went at tangent.
3. If you had answered some of my questions that you deliberately ignored, it would have been a level field of discussion: unfortunately, you chose not to.

Since this wouldn't take either you or me out of Christ, its okay.

You assume I justified Polygamy but you were very wrong.

1Cor 10:23:
"All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."

A sin is a SIN whether in the OT or in the NT and God hates SIN! God doesn't condone any moral SIN irrespective of what it is.

Jesus brought us back to the IDEAL design of God in Marriage
1. He made them Man and Woman
2. God hate Divorce.
3. Moses allowed some deviation because of the hardness of the heart of people but from the beginning it was not so.

Even though Moses allowed Divorce, God hates it BUT I do not think that it is a direct Moral SIN and God has not changed His stance on Divorce till tomorrow.

Mal 2:16:
"The LORD, the God of Israel, says, “I hate divorce— and the covering of violence with one’s garment,” says the LORD of hosts. “Therefore guard your spirit, and do not act treacherously.”"
I could not attend to your questions because i already had objections to the the first part of your statement which shows that you believe polygamy is right, even though you are trying to use the N.T to kind of still say that is not allowed, which I have heard people say. But this is double speaking, plus the Truth is that we all get that you people do not really believe that polygamy is completely wrong and that is the beginning of my grouse with this issue.
So, basically you are saying polygamy is allowed and not allowed and that is not right.

Yes, it might appear that getting to the Truth of this issue might not take one out of Christ but however, getting it will definitely help us to understand God and Christ more and definitely increase our confidence when we are representing Him. And even more importantly, you may see like i do that it is another BIG LIE! And if you Truly love God, there is no way that if you see this Lie told that you won't rise up and wholly condemn it, the way you do against Muslims.

So, to address your Bible quotes up first you do real eyes that Paul said "to me" and not that he was saying that is The Law and two, via Moses, you are moving the post to divorce whereas the issue whether polygamy is right in the Eye of God.

So, i urge you to take out time to uncover the Truth as you did to Muslims so that when you are representing God on this issue, you can be sure that you are right beyond all reasonable doubt as you are against Muslims

That isn't moving the goalpost at all it's clarifying the claim. The examples you gave don't show forgiveness as a blanket, unconditional act, they show forgiveness being granted after repentance, faith, obedience, or some other condition is met. So the question remains: if forgiveness is almost always tied to conditions, can it really be described as unconditional?
It is a shift of post because the issue was whether God forgives or not and not whether there is forgiveness but it is conditional or blanket forgiveness which is another issue and therefore a shift of the goal posts

Always pulling out the Thief on the cross like it's a trump card but your examples actually highlight the issue. The thief on the cross was forgiven, yet countless others in the Bible were not. Israel was forgiven repeatedly, but entire populations were also destroyed despite pleas and repentance. The biblical record presents forgiveness as selective and conditional, not as a consistent or universal trait of God.
Now at least you have changed post and admitted that He forgave some people. And who does not know that forgiveness operates upon certain conditions? So, it is settled now

Brother, at least can you now say that your thoughts on this issue is wrong? At least, even if you don't want to accept my own theory on it, you should at go back and research it, for there is no way God can ever support or justify an evil act. Although, majority believes God supported polygamy in the times of old but frowns at it during this dispensation (this grace era)
I never heard this shi before until I joined nairaland and started seeing people saying it and I saw that they were serious. So i went check it out for if cheating aka adultery is a sin then it is impossible for God to support it. And so i raised these threads to prove that those people are lying.

I actually wanted you to assess the Uzziah Vs Saul's case and the last scenario.

I used the word "related" on purpose.

That was a nice conversation though Dtruthspeaker 🙌
Oh! Ok .
It was nice and mentally stimulating.

Please, can you weigh in on the argument I'm having with TenQ. on polygamy. He thinks that God gave David, Saul's wives, meanwhile the remaining part of that passage means that God too gave him men (homose things) and their wives too.

In violation of God's express Commandment , "Neither shall he multiply wives to himself," Deuteronomy 17:17

I know it has since been said that God supports polygamy but I have asked everyone if it so, how then does a person do polygamy without being guilty of adultery? And none of the polygamist supporters have been able to give a valid answer. So, i would love to see your thoughts on it Don't worry take your time to think and research about it. Its even a little difficult for me to respond because I am occupied with a little delicate work that I want to ensure that it comes out right. So, i may not be here for the next 2/3days

I other words, your questions was wrongly perceived.

In context each of these were given to David for different purposes.

However,
You seem only to respond to snippets of my posts. You avoid issues that conflict with your views. This isn't good!

Any solid Theology must stand up to scrutiny!
Scrutiny dictates that "By doubting we are led to question, by questioning we arrive at the truth". Peter Abelard

You already appreciate that i do not believe your view is right and therefore I have asked you questions on your view in which you say God gave David Saul's wives. And now i have pointed out that by your interpretation, in the second leg of that passage God gave David, the the men of Isreal and Judah too (homose things) and their wives for him to husband/wife them all.

And now that you see the second leg's interpretation contradicts you view on the first keg, you now seek to break your interpretation of that passage and depart from it, by moving post to plead different purposes.

This clearly proves that you are bending the passage according to your views. For the passage is already self explanatory and it's purposes are clear, which according to your interpretation, God gave David Saul's wives. the men of Isreal and Judah too (homose things) and their wives too.

So, after you have first given an interpretation to the passage, now the second leg of that passage points out that your interpretation of the first passage is wrong, you have now taken it upon yourself to divide and appropriate interpretations to them. A clear case of arbitrary selective judgement This is fraudulent and Wrong!

You can't interpret Akara as from beans and then say that moi moi is not from beans.

So, do you now see that you are very wrong and that the scripture does not support your view?

I guess I should simplify it for you

For what purpose did God gave David
1. The House of Saul
2. The Kingdom of Saul (House of Israel)
3. The Wives of Saul?
etc
By asking me this question, do you now see and agree that your opinion here is wrong? For clearly, you are saying that God David Saul's wives, the men of Isreal and Judah too (homose things) in addition to their wives which you now find it difficult to say.

If you agree that you are wrong, then i can proceed to answer the questions you asked, so that we are both sure of what is right. And right you think you are right and i am just want to make certain that you are right. But if you agree you are wrong, then we can both examine my views to see if me too I'm wrong or right

It's a biological reality.

Remember, the ancients don't have science so the best way ti explain this was to use stories and myths to explain why things happen like that. But that doesn't make the stories true, they just try to make sense of reality.
Who told the ancients did not have science? Does the history of science not start with the ancients? And all these maternity things today are they not built on the science of the ancients?

All, in all both your ancients and modern are still struggling against God's curs to the point now that it is even worser today. Who heard of buying babies in the 70's/80's?

Let's take these four instances:

SCENARIO 1
When the oxen stumbled and the Ark of the Covenant began to fall off the cart, Uzzah reached out to steady it with his hands. No unauthorized person was to touch the Ark, Uzzah was struck dead on the spot. -- (2 Samuel 6:6-7)

SCENARIO 2
Saul took it upon himself to perform the priestly sacrifice before a battle, a duty GOD RESERVED STRICTLY for the prophet Samuel. Instead of an immediate execution, the consequence was the loss of his dynasty; his kingdom would be torn away from his family line and given to another. --(1 Samuel 13:9-14)

SCENARIO A
The Holy of Holies was meant for only the high priest and was only accessible once in a year when atonement would be performed.
And the Priest had to perform some cleansing for himself first, otherwise na OYO be him case -- instant death.

SCENARIO B
From scenario A above, the Holy of Holies has now been moved to the human body (1 Corinthians 6:19–20 :The Believer's Body).
Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm (Psalm 105:15) -- This is a warning. It is God's declaration warning foreign powers and oppressors to leave His Holy of Holies/ chosen people alone.
But today, bandits and terrorists can kidnap, molest/maim this same temple of God with God inside of it.

Scenarios 1 & 2 are related with different outcomes.

While scenarios A & B are also closely related with different outcomes.
See, you are using the word "related" and not the word "the same" which means that even you appreciate that all those cases are different from each other. Uzziah's case is exactly like Aaron's sons case. Saul was already rejected aka banished by God hence his resort to paganism and even though The Holy of Holies resides in the Ark of the covenant, that does not prevent God from anointing humans as He did to Moses. So, you are mixing them up because you are only looking at them superficially

I never said that God gave David everybody's wife but Saul's Wives.
I believe that God did NOT lie in saying that He gave Saul's Wives (plural) to David...
Read it again it is not only Saul's wives he was given in that passage.

The passage expressly says that
"I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. i gave you the house of Israel and Judah."

So, by your understanding in the second attached leg of that passage, are you saying that even the men of Isreal and Judah too (homose) were given to David to wife or husband in addition to their wives, since God Said He even gave him their "house" also in addition to Saul's wife as you say?
Christianity Etc › Re: God Forgives Even The Worst Sinners That Ask For Forgiveness by Dtruthspeaker: 10:43pm On Jun 14
GravityDefier:
I just view it as:
(i) "CAUSE AND EFFECT" has already been set in place (which might vary from person to person e.g two persons committing same atrocity and being punished differently).
(ii) Forgiveness DOES NOT ALWAYS automatically deter the EFFECT in point (i) above.

So, many will live with the EFFECTS of their past despite being forgiven.
Examples are the people you already cited: Moses, David etc.
With God, there is no punishing differently. That is one of the things that makes Him just. As it was with Ananias so was it to Sapphira. As it was for the Canaanites, so it was for Israel. So, there isn't anywhere, where 2 persons committing the same offences and then God punished them differently. That would not be just and God never ever did that. Their offences must have been different for the punishment to be different.

Forgiveness only means a stay or cessation or reduction of a punitive effect which is deliberately delivered to an offender, which is different from the natural consequence of committing that offence. Exactly as when you bash a person's car breaking your bumper, headlights and radiator to the person's damaged boot and rear lights.. if the person forgives you by taking his vehicle away, you still have bear the effect of fixing your own damage

Our deeds are either good or bad, right? This judgement will be done from the good deeds to the bad deeds. And these bad deeds are the sins we commit while the good deeds are the righteous ways we live with God and His principles. One fact I still sustain is that God forgives, but does not forget. That's why we'll be judged on that DAY! Make nobody whine you bro
Yes! Deeds are either good or bad and whenever deeds are judged, their goodness or badness are also automatically assessed. So, there is nothing like "judgement will be done from the good deeds to the bad deeds".

And this thread shows that i have put it to you that forgiveness means forgetting. But that the problem is that man always commits a new sin that makes him liable for punitive Judgement on the Day of Judgement. So, no whine yourself

Who was speaking to David here?
What did He give to David?

2 Samuel 12:8.
"I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that were not enough, I would have given you even more."
...
And as i asked the Muslim guy who raised it, so do you say that therefore by this statement David was given everybody's wife wife in Israel and Judah? If it was so, how then did God charge him for taking Uriah's wife, since you say that God gave him everybody's wife?

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight?

Count 1) thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword,

Count 2) and hast taken his wife to be thy wife,

Count 3) and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
