The number of stories of pant sniffing, may increase as some dude will now pick much interest.

This is my opinion.

Following the news of incidents arising from the Biafra protest today. I state unequivocally, that president Buhari have again failed the test of leadership.

For any reason, A society would have disputes, (political, industrial etc), agitations, strikes etc. This is not the first time in history things like this will be happening and it wouldn't be the last.

No matter what you think, as a leader it is your responsibility to ensure truce. Even if the agitation is against you.

If truly Buhari is committed to the unity of Nigeria, Biafra protest will not degenerate to this level.

No committed leader who is interested in the unity of the country he presides over, will see secessionist protest and will not call for a meeting.

As a true and responsible leader, things must be done, and what is being done must be seen by all, to be done properly and on time.

When Yaradua was president, He sent GEJ and the governors to the creeks to speak to the militants on his behalf. He invited them to Aso rock.

When Jonathan was President, and we had the occupy Nigeria protest, GEJ was on marathon meetings with stakeholders, Day and night.

Ladies and gentlemen, These are leaders. I'm sorry Buhari is not a leader. He does not believe in the unity of the Nigeria he governs. At this point, he does not need to assign anyone to do this. He should be the person talking not osinbajo, shehu or femi.

The Biafra protest is subject to various political and sectional/partisan interpretations; But it is expected that, Buhari ceases to veiw things from partisan perspective the moment he became president. Since Buhari still sees things from partisan perspective, (5% and 95%) up till this moment, it is clear that he does not possess the basic credentials for the kind of leadership Nigeria should have at this time.

If he does respond after now, it is an afterthought; He's not a proactive leader.

I insist that Buhari have failed this test of leadership.


This is the way I see it.

Tell me GEJ or Buhari, who is a better leader?

Buhari Failed.

He failed the simple test.

What I see is a failure in the presidency. The head of government have failed. Any other way you look at it becomes foolishness or politics.

If only they knew that someone said, A fight against boko haram is declaration of war against the north" and reacted against him, whilst joining hand with the stranger they hate to fight boko haram.

There is no club to be welcomed to. I am no longer in APC's payroll. I was not given an appointment by the government. My loyalty now lies to the Nigerian people. Obviously, PDP is filth and GEJ worst president in our history. I am neutral, my loyalty lies to Nigeria and Nigerians, until the day I decide to go back to partisan politics.

Like I rightly pointed, when the war gets to the phase where the enemy begins to only plant bombs or suicide bombers at soft civilian targets, there is no amount of sophistication or leadership competence that can save such a situation except divine intervention.

Oh yes, i criticised GEJ badly, but I never criticised him for being unable to stop suicide bombers blowing up civilian targets; my constant criticism of GEJ was with regards to the terrorists taking over towns and cities for months; my criticism was about soldiers abandoning their weapons and barracks and fleeing into Cameroon because they didnt have the most basic equipments to fight riff raff insurgents; my criticism was about the massive complaints of the soldiers complaining about their welfare packages being diverted by military chiefs but the C-in-C never acknowledged. There is a clear difference.

I'm in Lagos, Ambode is working ...I can see efforts, he's just not with the propaganda machinery of the past government. Buhari isn't working, that is what should worry us.

Security matters are very delicate. You don't assign sensitive responsibility based only on recommendations. It's more an issue of who you know best, and can trust.

Information asymmetry may be why he didn't delegate such authority to a southerner. It may not even be regionally driven. Unless you have privy information on why he chose those people, you cannot say for sure.

I sincerely believe this struggle of theirs will bear fruits faster if they leave out ss. Nigeria can't divide in two or three or four, she'll fragment. We are too culturally diverse to b calling for division/chaos. As a NDeltan I can tell you we also have differences among the ND ethnicities. We only unite when it comes to oil.

Your writeup has in it the reason why I'm really not against the biafra struggle. I'm also from the ND too. But do you think you'll get your so called true federalism? Abeg. Look I've followed reactions from after the 2011 elections till date and I know we are not serious.

Even when we had the confab did you know why there was a resounding No! from some folks, it was because the goal is central power control. Forget what you think about buhari. What if it's not buhari again as president. The country as it is now have been positioned such that political and by extension economic influence will be dictated by a some people. Look it beyond what you think now.

Though honourable in its responsibility as the foremost voice of the opposition, the PDP should thread carefully on this political minefield. It cannot be seen to be a voice of secessionists particularly those on sectional and tribal lines, particularly lines that are deep bloody scars that just won't heal. The PDP must remain a genuine national party to remain relevant in the scheme of things. Their position on this will not help their course in seeking a way back to power.

I seriously think you are wrong. As an opposition party , they must lend their voice in advising the government in taking the right decision especially with issues like this.
