Like I rightly pointed, when the war gets to the phase where the enemy begins to only plant bombs or suicide bombers at soft civilian targets, there is no amount of sophistication or leadership competence that can save such a situation except divine intervention.

Oh yes, i criticised GEJ badly, but I never criticised him for being unable to stop suicide bombers blowing up civilian targets; my constant criticism of GEJ was with regards to the terrorists taking over towns and cities for months; my criticism was about soldiers abandoning their weapons and barracks and fleeing into Cameroon because they didnt have the most basic equipments to fight riff raff insurgents; my criticism was about the massive complaints of the soldiers complaining about their welfare packages being diverted by military chiefs but the C-in-C never acknowledged. There is a clear difference.

Though honourable in its responsibility as the foremost voice of the opposition, the PDP should thread carefully on this political minefield. It cannot be seen to be a voice of secessionists particularly those on sectional and tribal lines, particularly lines that are deep bloody scars that just won't heal. The PDP must remain a genuine national party to remain relevant in the scheme of things. Their position on this will not help their course in seeking a way back to power.

I seriously think you are wrong. As an opposition party , they must lend their voice in advising the government in taking the right decision especially with issues like this.

The road shouldn't be heading north. Rather , we should be having a mega- ring -road that cuts across the region/ geopolitical zone. while a modern rail can go to the so called katsina-ala.

we need to live these boko haram people to really bomb themselves because of politics of hate. You think any of the northern governors would have looked at a road heading south? No.

This road needs a re-design.
