Plastering just began

Dear esteemed stakeholders and community members,

We are pleased to announce that we are reopening our mansion construction site at Obodoeze Nomeh Unataeze kingdom here in Nairaland.

Currently, we are resuming work on the final finishes of this prestigious project as promised to continue during the finishing.

As you may recall, we initially shared updates on this project on August 14, 2024. We appreciate your interest and enthusiasm, and we are excited to share the progress we've made so far.

Our team is committed to delivering a world-class mansion that meets the standards of quality and excellence. We are working diligently to ensure that the final finishes are completed soon and perfectly too.
We have redesigned and attached the new approach view we also touch up /open up some walls in the building layout to suite the future.

We invite you to join us again as we embark on this final phase of the project. We will be sharing regular updates, photos, and videos of the construction process, so please stay tuned!

While leveling was on, i was considering a different design of concrete facia ( parapet) given that the architect has done his best but i normally redesign at the site once am happy at work, creative inspiration will flow freely

So, this is the drawing but i will give the house a different paparazzi parapet arrangement for touch up sake and better appearance, free of charge of course. Though as a bonus to the client. However we have discussed it and we have his consent.

What's the structural and theoretical function of Deck beam installation.

Firstly,

Inorder to come close in understanding with some of us who are not professionals in this field, sometimes i use a very common or individual word more like a layman's terms provided everyone understands my explanation and analysis.


In this context;

Deck or decking = Concrete Slab

Beam = Beam

Put together = Deck beam

But what i mean here is the beam installation at the deck reinforcement level. ( in a layman's term)

Nevertheless, in a professional terms, what we ment here is a Monolithic slab and beam system ( MSB)

Monolithic Slab and Beam (MSB) : are a structural elements that are cast integrally, forming a continuous and interconnected system. Beams are used to support the slab in it reinforcement and by so distribute loads to the columns or walls below. By casting the beams and slab together, the system becomes more rigid and efficient in transferring loads.

However, the monolithic construction method offers several advantages, including:

Improved structural integrity : The integration of slabs and beams creates a more robust and stable structure.

Reduced construction time : Casting the slabs and beams together can streamline the construction process.

Cost-effectiveness : Monolithic construction can be more economical compared to other structural systems.

Enhanced load distribution : the Beams help distribute loads evenly across the structure, reducing stress concentrations.

Now, to your question,

The monolithic slab and beam (MSB) system serves several structural and theoretical functions in building construction:

Structural Functions :

1. Load transfer : The MSB system transfers loads from the building to the foundation or soil.

2. Flexure : The MSB system resists bending and flexural stresses.

3. Shear resistance : The system resists shear forces and prevents cracking.

3 Compression and tension : The MSB system resists compressive and tensile stresses.

Most quarry don’t sell 30 tonne. Max, they sell 25 but a lot buyers don’t know.

Thats how they scaaam or that’s how they see profit 😁.

That’s why it’s good to always go there and find out from quarry sellers to know how they sell and make sure you monitor what you are buying.
I can’t imagine loosing like 80k per trip to truck owner/project handler after the truck owner/project handler has collected money for logistics.

Honestly speaking o, the lost is usually massive, when you trust chippings supplying in the hands of this suppliers.

Even the material estimate, BEME (Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation) that is estimated to handle the project will be affected because the will be a drastic shortage from the prepared BEME.

Is always better you go and buy it yourself or loss happily
