RVP's true nature comes out. If he is not interested, Manure won't be after him and making this much noise in the media.
Can anyone imagine Del Piero signing for AC Milan from Juventus? That boy doesnt respect us end of, and we will show him in exactly the same way the Barca fans showed Figo back in the day.
So, after Manure have been soundly trounced in the money games with PSG over Moura, they want to salvage their wretched transfer summer by buying RVP? cheesy

Okay naa, I siddon dey look. Arsene and Gazidis, over to you.

I set out to scout for Arsenal in this Olympic tournament, I cast my gaze far and wide and considered a number of knowns and unknowns, also went to see a couple of games at Old Toilet.

Neymar is class but will be eaten alive in the Premier league, the boy needs a lot of quarter pounders before he is ready for the PL as he is easily eased off the ball and doesn't look ready for the rough stuff. Oscar looks very ready indeed and will likely do well at Chelsea, he would have felt very much at home with us.

A player that really caught my eye played for the UAE, Omar Abdulrahman Al Amoodi he is called, top quality player, just 20 years old who needs to leave the backwater UAE league as quickly as possible. Now that we have above decent strength squad, this is the kind of player I'd like to see us take a gamble on if he would qualify for a Work permit.

We are yet to buy our customary annual young player for this season and it seems Arsene is after Mbiaye Niang but I sure hope he kept an eye on the Olympics.

@Proudly
Its in the PR department that RVP has failed. Viera can deny making those statements today. RVP cannot. I always felt RVP needed to take things easy, there is a way we do things at Arsenal and he as captain should know that. Whatever his motives were, he went too far and hung himself with that letter to the fans.

You dont talk to a club of Arsenal's stature as he has done. Its either he eats humble pie or leaves in ignominy.
On another note, now that Andy Murray finally won something for GB, maybe our time has finally come, he and Arsenal are the nearly men and the English media's favorite whipping boys.

Poor pitch, our players coasting but still created some very good chances with the best 2 going to Santos, old bad habits, MF dropping off allowing opposition to shoot in front of your box with a few seconds to go to the end of the half.
Poor indeed, for such a strong team out.

Kay-Dee abeg leave this guy, it should be obvious by now that 1025 is the number of the assylum cell bloke escaped from.
If he doesn't spout his nonsense here, the guy will kpeme from insomnia. Consider tolerating him as a societal obligation to help the vulnerable.
When RVP goes, he won't be replaced by another striker but I think Arsene will use the opportunity to bring in a well rounded AM, he however needs to move out some players like Arshavin and Bendtner before he does that. I hear AC Milan are interested in Bendtner.
Arsenal always look to maximise profit.

Walcott's season may not have been 'fantastic', but it was way better than that of majority of the attacking players at the club. It will be a huge backward step to lose him and RVP at the same time.

Of what use is accumulating cash when the playing squad continues to decline? I will never support such a policy. Selling a 29 year old Dutchman is different from selling a 23 year old Englishman with massive commercial appeal at a club lacking many representatives in the current England set up.

I'm tired of simply stockpiling more money in the bank when we should be reaping the fruits of Walcott coming into his prime years.

Actually, by his standards, his season was fantastic. grin
Theo is not my favorite player but he has definitely improved. However, he and his agent must have more than a few screws loose to be haggling over money with the club.
Arsenal take care of their players, that is a fact. If we are signing Djorou to 50k we cannot be offering Theo anything less than 80k (an amount a lot of people would puke to hear that he is earning) and if that isn't enough for him (when a player like RVP was on less than 90 until now) then the earlier we sell him, the better. Theo should be begging to play for Arsenal.
If he however delivers what he's delivered this season and continues to improve on this trajectory for the next 2 seasons and then demands 120K or even more for his next contract, I would support him. For now, he is yet to earn it.

I still think he needs to go on loan one more time but this time to an EPL side simply because I don't see where to fit him in the line up at the moment. He still runs like a headless chicken. I guess Allardyce wasn't the best coach to hand him over to last season. grin grin

Hustle has its uses, remember how Fergie used the Brazillian twins to mug us in the FA cup some seasons back? grin I think Lansbury should be kept around now. He is Arsenal to the bone. Flamini was also an headless chicken until his last season.

Glad to see Kristoff Olson get his first of many shirts for the first team. He'l prolly play for the reserves this season and maybe go onloan next season but that guy is one for the future

I like the boy, definitely one to watch particularly now that Bunjaku has gone off to Sevilla.
The NextGen series should be the making of these new lot now that the squad has been trimmed. I think Olson, Ebecilio, Toral and Bellerin would be the ones to watch in that tournament. I wonder if any Channel is taking it up.

Not much to say, anybody who is developing suicidal tendencies over RVP leaving is already a season late, the time to do so was when Nasri and Cesc's transfers dragged so long, we brought in replacements late and we got thumped 8 - 2, that was Arsenal's Ground Zero and it can only go upwards from here on. Now, we've got two Strikers who led the lines for their clubs last season and between them scored 39 league goals and we got them in time for a solid pre-season so we can flog off the ingrate not to the Shitty club but to some club with an unpronouncable name, choosing to hold him to the last year of his contract is primarily a business decision as far as I'm concerned, for a club who just announced a profit of 25m from a subsidiary business its not exactly like the club 'needs' the money although every little helps and one dollar more never hurt anyone but Arsenal as a club have to take a stand at some point and stop this haemorraghing of players, if RVP has to be the posterboy for a no nonsense in the transfer window Arsenal then let it be so.

RVP 'legally' owes us nothing more than his contract dictates, that is fact and I never dispute facts, (only misguided, uninformed and totally illogical opinion such as Debo intermittently comes up with grin) but he has no right to act as he did towards Arsenal no matter how altruistic his intentions were and one would have to be a Mr Bean clone to arrive at the conclusion that his intentions were indeed altruistic but Arsenal fans also have the right to be angry with him if they so choose, ultimately, every individual in this world is selfish and will fight his own corner (yes, even you naijababe tongue and yes you two, Kroenke and Usmanov) but even 'hustling' has its rules and limits. Telling fans who are displeased with RVP to wish him good luck is to all intents and purposes taking the piss, if you love RVP that much more than Arsenal, then kindly follow him on his way out of the club. tongue

So, Mr 'I love Arsenal, I want to win trophies, but now that I no longer rely on horse placenta and I am finally fit enough to lead a team to a trophy in a position of responsibility the best way I can think of to lead Arsenal to a trophy is by leaving', all I can say is that YES, we know you love us (The way a rat loves cheese), please go ahead and chase your dreams, a bit of a pity you came to the conclusion we couldn't help you fulfil it (though you kept collecting our money while you were laid up in bed for about 6 of the 8 years you have so far spent here during which you could have won these trophies you so much crave for), thanks for the goals and the memories, a good player you were, with the opportunity to become a 'true great' if you only showed 'true grit', but a GREAT and LOYAL player you certainly are NOT and that is what Arsenal needs at this crucial time in our history.

In addition, for all 'self hating' Arsenal fans who find nothing to applaud about our club and are in the mood to enrich Uranium, I duduspace (in the true spirit of capitalism in which Arsenal is run) hereby declare that I know somebody who knows somebody who knows Kim Jung Un and can get you a steady supply for a price, or if jumping down the Burj Dubai is your preferred 'ethical' option, I'm sure I can get the 'Big Brother' Crew to make some reality show out of it and a hefty profit to boot. Whichever option you choose, someone, somewhere will make money out of it even if its the refuse collector who has to clean up after you so please for your own sake, stop moaning like a Belieber, Satan Kroenke or whatever you choose to call him isn't coming to anyone's house to forcefully take money from their pockets.

I don't care much for Kroenke and I care even less for Usmanov but I care for Arsenal and I'm glad that even an illogical person like Debo finally understands that the issues at Arsenal is not and has never been about Arsene Wenger, a fact he disputed with me for so long. The penny will drop with y'all soon (as it did with Newcastle fans when they went into relegation and with Blackburn's fans now as well) that club owners are powerful (if you dispute this, think of Leeds and now Rangers) and that there is nothing to be gained by infighting but a lot to be gained by critically considering facts, statistics and other people's points of view. As a wise man once said, it is best for everyone to do their job and leave other people to do theirs. Lets all get back to supporting the club we love, if we could do better, we'd be the Owners or Directors of Arsenal at this point in time, that is my opinion and not fact cheesy.

As for me and my house, we will support Arsenal. wink
