I feel for Ramsey but our situation is past dire now so the best solution for everyone particularly for the boy himself is to get someone in and let the boy go out on loan for at the barest minimum, the first part of next season to go and rebuild his damaged psyche and shattered confidence, it might be painful and seem like a step backwards for the Welsh captain but there is a lot more riding on this. I am even more scared for Wilshere as these young players hardly ever come back from injury the same, it was exactly the same with Diaby. Thank God though that Wilshere's injury is a less traumatic one and not psychologically scarring as Diaby and Ramseys. A club like Swansea should be willing to have Ramsey on loan next season, maybe bring him back if Song goes to ANC. Next season there can be no excuses, we now have money, lets go and get the class reliable Midfielder to complement Arteta and Song. |
debosky: Dudu likes to talk bollocks sha!Debo, you cannot be a good manager even for a kindergaten kickabout, your eyes are more attuned to identifying the symmetry of women's backsides than the finer nuances of skill and technical ability in players. ![]() Theo Walcott CANNOT deliver at Sociedad because Sociedad cannot maintain possesion of the ball in the attacking third as Arsenal do. If he leaves Arsenal, his career will end up worse than Mr. Fox in the box and I will expect to see him in Blue Square Premier league if he ever loses his speed. ![]() He'd better take that 80k they are offering him cos a lot of people, (me included) think he deserves a lot less ![]() As for Vela, we will reference his stats again next season just siddon look, this is Vela's first season of consistent football. I'm sure you will come up with irrelevant anectodes as usual when he does even better. ![]() He was a teenager when playing for Osasuna and at Salamanca (where he was their best player actually and scored 8 goals and 15 assists, virtually all their assists at the half way point of the season before he got injured at that time). |
Debo, you still dey on this Walcott long thing hen? ![]() When I was telling you here that if Arsene had not bowed to the English pressure and had given Vela all the game time Theo got that we would have a much better well rounded attacking player, you were yarning all kinda dust. The boy never prove am for La Liga now? See the kain stats the boy is delivering with just 1 season of consistent footie? Starts Subs Goals Assists 26 7 12 7 Compare with Theo who plays in an Arsenal team that keeps possesion and has better quality players all over the pitch and also compare the variety in his goals including bicycle kicks and shots from 25 yards outside the box which you hardly/never ever see Theo doing. Starts Subs Goals Assists 32 2 8 8 I know it isn't likely the boy will stay with us any longer except Arsene can really convince him he will get game time, but they'd better put all kinds of clauses they can think of in the deal that takes him to Sociedad cos I can almost assure you he will be in a top 4 La Liga club within the next 2 years via a considerable transfer fee. |
This is disgusting, I thot Nairaland had gone beyond being used for purposes like this. Can someone please delete this ASAP? NL shouldn't be used for smear campaigns. Let this people go and fight their roforofo fight elsewhere. We've heard the stories, but are all those pictures really necessary? ![]() |
This freak result happened cos Manure didn't have their most influential player on the pitch today, hopefully he will be fit for the remaining matches. ![]() https://img708.imageshack.us/img708/4356/fergiem.jpg |
edoyad: Guy, at least tell us her name. Did u meet her on NL?No Ed, I met her at Oshodi under bridge, and we got married by the 'Area Father' ![]() |
^^ debosky: Excellent news - any addition of proven international players is welcome.Corrected. ![]() |
@ JJCD Congratulations on your twins o, may they bring you much joy. I'm drafting up their first professional contract with Arsenal already with my first option clauses, by the time they come of age they'll be adding to an overloaded trophy cupboard and not these cobweb filled empty coffins we're presently mocked with. |
Uncle dayo are you madt? Chelsea did wonderful to have knocked barca out but i don't exactly endorse the park the bus thing, and i won't trade it for our own style even if it means getting knocked out. The chelsea that's 'good enough' actually conceded 5 at home when Arsenal visited.
Ma da won lohun, the English press going overboard until someone drills them in the final as usual. |
See me see trouble, to think that I would be supporting these useless big for nothing Bavarians who are being rapidly overthrown back home just cos I dislike Mourinho. DK, if Bayern don't win this match yawa go gas o. ![]() |
I'd like to apologize to everyone for staying away for so long without a thought that I'd get people worried about my welfare, one does get to forget that we're a mini family here. For all those who've asked after me, this is just to let everyone know that I'm very fine. My 'story' is that I've been taking some time out to prepare for the London marathon (don't ask me yet why I wanted to run but ended up not running) . I am very fine and will soon return to the thread.I've watched the season evolve from a distance I have climbed giddy heights of elation and fathomed depths of frustration in typical Arsenal fan style, we haven't arrived this season but surely we will particularly when we have a captain like the current PFA player of the year. I'd like to express my thanks to Muki and Debo who went out of their way to make contact and to apologize once again to everyone I got worried unnecessarily. I will definitely be back very soon. |
chic2pimp: ^^^^ Look at those two olodos above me. I've told u lot several times say i no dey do shikena. Aba nah by forceChickenlicken, why you come dey include me for this yanma-yanma things naa? ![]() I nor get time for una now with Fabrice still in ICU. |
edoyad: @dudu, you nor leave I M now .Same email on my profile. |
Update is that he is in intensive care unit at the London Chest hospital. Hang in there bro, hope you pull through. |
Now that Fabrice is getting better, now can ESPN sack that negative minded phool who calls himself John Champion. |
Thank Goodness, Hospital confirms he is in a stable condition from Sky. |
edoyad: I returned home after a difficult day to hear this bad news, abeg i hope everything turns out fine cos the EPL is about the only thing going on fine in my life right nowWhatzup Bro? inbox me. |
Every one is eagerly awaiting news, I've never seen the sky presenters so morose in their presentation. I really hope this all ends well. |
Same here o Kaydee, distressing scenes at WHL. May God be with him. Most likely an heart issue. ![]() |
God be with Fabrice Muamba, that doesn't look good at all. |
debosky: I have listened to it, and it confirms little except that Wenger pays kids way too much money such that they have become liabilities we are unable to sell. We pay our young players far too much and our top players far too little making us less competitive for the best talent.A narrow minded summary of a multidimensional assessment of the entity called Arsenal from a myriad of conflicting perspectives. Debo, you encounter knowledge but are not enlightened and that is pathetic. The guys on the show did not go into such analysis because they know the board wouldn't deliberately shoot themselves in the foot and would definitely have explored such avenues If a neutral 3rd party with the business and football experience of Christian Purslow can understand that past contract frontloading has tied up current revenues, then you certainly are barking up the wrong tree. Your point about Arsenal being able to break their deals cos Chelsea were able to buy themselves out of their own deals is akin to someone saying Panadol is guaranteed to cure migraine cos it cures headache but then you would have made a roforofo Doctor anyway. ![]() As to the issue with Keown, its blown all out of proportion, according to him in that program, he was in a 'mentoring' role which had nothing to do with tactics and he said whatever defensive solidity at that time was 'despite' him and not 'because of' him . When he wanted to remain, a position was not available at the time that suited him not that he wasn't offered anything at all but he didn't want to remain in the mentoring role he was but wanted a firmer arrangement possibly with higher wages as well, mind you it was this same Arsene who as usual in your wild baseless accusations doesn't want a vocal ex player on board who allowed him to come on board as a mentor in the first instance (just as he allowed old heads like Sol, Mad Jens and Thierry to come back subsequently). As far as I could see, there were no bitter vibes from Keown in that program towards Arsene at all, I mean, if I appled for a job and didn't get it but was offered a less paying job with less responsibilities that doesn't mean the interviewer doesn't like the look of my face does it? Some points you wouldn't notice with your blinkered view is that the AST chap owned up to the fact that the wages he was quoting are not even verified and are at best 'A good guesstimate' while the issue about kids being overpayed is more about the current state of football in general than about Arsenal alone as the wage bills of other clubs weren't exactly compared like for like even though Christian Purslow still pointed out that even if the wage bill is used as a sole yardstick, Arsenal is still par for the course as they have the 4th largest wage bill in the PL and have never been out of the top 4. |
This Krul boy really annoyed RVP and if body language is a very good indicator of future intention, our captain does not look like he's going anywhere anytime soon. This chap is visibly passionate about this club. |
Some very creative solutions right here. ![]() |
@Debo Have you listened to this? ![]() http://www.arsenaltrust.org/resources/audios/arsenal.mp3 Its a BBC 5Live special report on Arsenal's situation in terms of finances and football competitiveness with this panel. 1. Christian Purslow (former Liverpool board member and the man who saved liverpool from Gillett and Hicks) 2. Martin Keown 3. Nigel Phillips of the Arsenal Supporter's Trust 4. Jeremy Wilson of The Daily Telegraph. Very illumnating for anyone who can spare the time to listen. The Highlight for me was where Christian Purslow told the AST guy to be careful what he wished for when he said Arsene had too much power. ![]() If you are pressed for time, just scroll very close to the end and compare what the consensus was on the influence of the stadium on Arsenal's present commercial income to what I've stated severally on this forum. |
Rosicky had a great game too, dude plays like he's possessed by demons these days. Gervinho came on and played like he couldn't spread his legs and move properly. Ox Chambo went missing for most part of the first half and I only saw flashes of him in the 2nd.
Form is temporary, class is permanent, he's got his second wind and is totally deserving of that contract. I always believed he could still perform from a central berth, attempting to play him on the wings was a bridge too far cos the legs aint there anymore but he is still that same 19 year old who came with Sparta and wowed the crowd at Highbury. I think he's profited most with the exit of Cesc and Nasri cos with those 2 around, Arsene would have continued playing him wide. He should serve the purpose the likes of Scholes and Giggs serve at Manure, an old head who has seen it all with little left to prove but with a strong desire to still play. It would be nice for Ramsey and Wilshere to grow into their roles with him around. Gervinho hasn't come back the same from the ACN and needs to man up, Arsene has so many options these days and if Arshavin was shipped back to Russia, anyone else can be told to go to blazes. |
naijababe: I do do do do!Someone sounds excited tonite? ![]() |
debosky: . . . . and Theo makes ANOTHER mockery of Dudu's intelligence. That is what you get when you have a manager's backing who plays you against what every other person says. Personally I'm happy for him and I think I should actually continue to hammer him cos it seems to light a fire under him. MOM without a doubt and the consistency that eluded him in the past seems to be coming together, I hope he doesn't go back again to old habits. Infact, if he can string 10 games like that together consistently, I'll consider him deserving of the 80K + wage bracket he's haggling over. However, he was still at his most dangerous when he receives ball into space and Newcastle's pushing up trying to win the game as well played into his strong points. |
gbosas accepted, as long as nor be e-slap sha LOL !!
No wahala, next time na BUYAKA for you. ![]() |
Another one for the data afficionados, Premier league History, Arsenal is first team to come back from behind to win 4 games in a row. But according to some, they are spineless. |
I love you Arsenal. TV5, I'm going crazy here. ![]() Kaydee is so positive. 3 Gbosas for you my guy. |
But that goal by Ben Harfa will make Arsene think again if he made the right choice signing Nasri instead of Ben Arfa ![]() |
RVP my man. |
