I have a challenge with linking my NIN to Airtel sim. Can you help?

What are your thoughts regarding the recent media post that the Home Office is seriously considering limiting international students and their dependents? What cautions should be applied at this time to minimise losses and disappointments ? Is there a possibility that those with visas already might be affected?

For IHS, a dependent is billed 4115.53 (USD) for 2 years whereas the official guide says 624pounds annually. Dollar equivalent for 2 years should be less that 1,500USD.

What should I do? Did I go wrong somewhere?
Has anyone had a similar experienced?

The major issue is that I am not even seeing flights to book, I have been trying to check but no one to book, I have even spoken to some agents and they haven't been able to see any flight.

So you can try them but please note:
* Not all programs are available for January intake so you need to check their website.
* The tuition fee is reduced based on the scholarship I got.

Hi Everyone,

I am here to share my testimonial and also drop the timeline of my SOWP application which I already shared on the Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) thread but thought it wise to also come back here to share it as well since it all began here.
It hasn’t been an easy road but God finally completed His work and to Him I return all the glory.
This was my second SOWP visa application as I had put in my first application together with my wife’s first study permit application early 2021 and both applications got refused. We had initially retained the services of a very reputable IRCC registered consultant in Canada and spent so much for this service, so getting a refusal on both applications had taken us off balance. In that confusion and desperation for a quick solution, I had gotten online and discovered this Study Permit thread on Nairaland which I thoroughly read through for weeks and kept coming across a particular name with people singing his praises and how he helped transform their cases and refusals to approvals through his detailed touch “Frankrobb”, I took a leap of faith and reached out to him and I must confess, that was one of the greatest decisions I ever made. After consulting with him, we agreed my wife applied alone for her second study permit application and when she gets the visa and arrives Canada, I apply for my SOWP to join her which we did and here we are, all visas finally approved to the praises, glory and thanks to God almighty. I want to also use this medium to appreciate Mr Frank for his hard work and also being a blessing to my family’s application success, your cup will never run dry, men will favour you and come to your aid before you ask. Amen.

My timeline:

Application submitted on 9th May, 2022.

Biometric was from previous application and was updated on 11th May, 2022.

Did upfront medicals on 5th May, 2022 that was submitted with my application documents.

Medicals didn’t update until July 15th when I decided to disturb IRCC Nairobi and Abuja in July through emails and webforms.

PPR on yesterday, 29th August, 2022.

My child just got letter to submit passport this morning. We raced to VFS Lekki for submission. Last day expected in school is Sep 12.

Used a Nigerian consultant based in Canada (introduced by a family friend in Canada) who greatly coordinated and midwifed the entire process. Not compulsory though, but extremely helpful given the high rate of rejection these days. Be careful of scammers.

To me, this is the most balanced commentary here. However, I dont know if Ng people are the most wicked.

I have come to discover that abroad is not for everyone and those in the abroad shouldn’t see the ones at home as lazy so also Nigerians at home shouldn’t see those selling everything to japa as stupid. If you believe you can succeed in Nigeria then do not let anyone force you to japa otherwise you will be frustrated, and if you have an adventure spirit and love to travel abroad then do it without being discouraged.

I made a mistake about 10 years when my cousins were interested in me traveling to the USA but I allowed preaching from Oyedepo to discourage me. I thought then that I can make it in naija and also help to fix the country. 10 years later I keep getting frustrated. Now my cousins in the USA don’t even want me to mention japa to them again cos when they were ready I wasn’t.

1. Is this delay the norm, thought I should have gotten request for upload of documents by now?

A friend recommended his brother to clear my car purchased through Cotonou a year ago. Despite emphasis on ensuring proper that clearing is done, still he went ahead to bypass the due clearing process so as to reduce fee payable to customs. Although he collected more than the required fees from, he paid less than half to customs and pocketed the rest.

To confirm genuineness of his clearing papers, I approached customs office where the scam was exposed. Fast forward a year later, I am unable to resolve the issue. The Chassis no. in custom's system differs from my car's own. I'm even afraid to travel outside Lagos with it. An officer offered to resolve the issue through the backdoor by altering system info. I am skeptical. I would have preferred following the proper channels but dont how to go about it.

I have read several posts here and discovered that many persons are not well informed about money laundering issues. Make no mistake money laundering (AML) represents a serious malady and is cancerous, and must not be condoned. That said, it is also true that banks all over the world are battling with this problem -this is not to exonerate Nigerian banks or water down the peculiar serious cases here.

In complying with global AML regime, Nigeria and relevant regulatory bodies have enacted stringent laws and regulations to manage the AML issues. The banks have their responsibilities spelt out; the law enforcement agencies also have their responsibilities. And so if we want allow the rule of law to take its course then certainly we may need to assess the actions of law enforcers. For instance, all banks are required by law to appoint compliance officers whose primary responsibility is to ensure AML laws are followed by the banks. Specific reports are required from every bank periodically. A report like STR -Suspicious Transaction Report is expected to capture all such cases. Where there are missing then compliance officers and indeed the bank must answer. Specific penalties are spelt out also. Truly I am yet to read of any requirement that persons must be detained for so long without trial. It also possible for some matters of sensitive security nature to require such extra measures which I think lawyers are in best position to provide details.

I do not support illegal campuses, but NUC should not stifle the educational yearnings of Nigerians. Most adult learners are not able to attend regular classes in main campuses.

The NUC should set standards for satellite campuses and regulate them vigorously. That is what they are paid to do. By now they should have come up with guidelines and framework for online campuses even. NUC, please enforce your standards, don't stifle initiatives. Imagine the pain of investing huge resources in educational activities that lead to nowhere.

I want to inquire if it is not possible to apply and obtain Visa to US without necessarily obtaining IV from someone or known address. I have applied and visited Europe on several occasions with booked hotel accommodation only. I generally hate the idea of soliciting addresses or IV. Any info?
