You download from miui and update via updater app, it's the recovery method am talking about.

Regarding the issues you face with your current rom, you can reflash the same rom to fix it, that's another advantage of downloading roms manually instead of OTA.

I don't understand o. But mine na Note 4 (SD)global which is same with Note4xglobal. Don't know if dukeo's device is Note4 global (SD) or just note4x. Anyways, seem their 1st set of production came with imx. Read about same complaint on gsmarena too.

That's Note 4 software. These xiaomi taking ppl for fool, them see say buyers attention have moved to 4x so they just use same ol' softwares. They cheating the buyers and deserved to be sued.

My Note4x Global comes with imx at the back and s5k at the front with goodix fingerprint.

Xposed installed plus miui 8 module fixed some grievances I had with redmi note 4x esp the black it keys always turning on when pressing screen. You can also do a lot of tweaks like changing your network provider color and power button turning on flash light when screen is off and editing clock by adding date and day plus making it always on and not disappear when u are on home page. Also other options like advanced reboot options to boot into recovery etc and notifications received also max displayed instead of swipping down with two fingers to see notification options etc iOS animations. IOS status bar arrangements list is endless, you can change led color on different battery percentage during charging and when full
