They add the charge from customs What people don't know is that all sent or imported goods has to pass through customs and 2 laptops will be billed and can get to that amount
I think it's official and calculated There's always a receipt available, you can take it and if you see any wrong doing, make a complaint
Just be aware that customs duties are paid worldwide on all couriered goods |

Truth be told was it the opposition that have turn the commercial capital city of Anambra state "Onitsha " into city of hooligan's that even if you have loaves of bread in anything on the wheels you will be tracked down failing to comply attracts all round beating + robbery, so how is the the safest state in Nigeria?
Do we talk about the roads? Let him list the roads he has done, it's condition to compare to the ones done by his predecessors. Even at that government is a continuum why did he allow almost all the good network roads Anambra is known for, to diminish beyond patch patch? Or is he also planning to use it for 2021 campaign purposes?
Good governance is all about touching the life of people that is been governed, just avail yourself to any of the radio stations located within Anambra & bags of complains from the masses, was it the opposition that sponsored them?
Enough of this blame game almost 6years gone! Anambra people are not illiterates, his score card is out there for the public to see. Tell them biko |

eni4real: All these grievances should be channeled to the right quarters..
What an average human know is that a Doctor owe a duty of taking adequate care of their sick loved ones.. If they smell negligence leading to the death of thier dear one, they will surely sue all the health workers involved and all those explanations will not be tenable when it matter most.. Again Sick people's care first, that is the oath that you all swore!!! Obviously they will take care of the sick people... Why not? But that was not what you insinuated. The person you replied talked about the problems encountered in taking care of people. If hospitals dont have what doctors need to work or there hands are tied by no funds... Who's fault is it then? If the patient needs blood, obviously it's not the doctor's own that will be given nor will he use his money. Health funding is very poor in Nigeria, all these western countries tax heavily and pay insurance to try to meet up and still they have lapses talkless of Nigeria where nothing is on ground. Quit shouting 'oath oath' up and down and start talking of the real problems before the scarcity of health personnel starts. Till the health care system sorts out funding and makes sure what is needed is available quickly and freely at point of care with no need for further payment with employment of right number of staff, trying to blame anybody for negligence is just a waste of time unless the doctor has a syringe that is drawn in his hands and refuses to give it. That the hospital is already blaming a transfusion reaction says a lot and avoiding blaming the docs... They know they failed somewhere |

Even relations that are guilty of negligence and neglect come to the hospitals and try to pin them on doctors. The guy made a valid point, the society's sick ... Corruption, funding for healthcare, violence, neglect and a clueless illiterate population that thinks medical supplies fall from heaven of that government pays for everything. Everyone better start thinking health insurance or this kind of tales will be plenty in the future. Everyone in society needs to be held accountable... People are killed by actions remote from hospitals like embezzlement, bad roads, police rascality etc And every job requires dedication and many swear oaths but still abuse it eg police The doctors are not from Mars in the end, they are Nigerians |

Sctests: You must have actually practiced as a cleaner in the UK hospital or mistaken your village hospital for a UK hospital. This is an example of a consultant biomedical Scientist in the UK, he also a fellow of Institute of Biomedical laboratory Science (FIBMS) and Royal college of pathology (FRCPATH)
There are many of them in the UK you claimed to practice, and yours truly have had the honour of working with some of these cerebral colleagues during my molecular research. The guy works for viapath ( notice the consultant statement was made after viapath was formed, an independent private organization). In the NHS, he was never mentioned as that with patients., even an electrician can consult for private organisations on matters related to wiring like all technical issues including lab technology . I'm talking of consultant in hospitals slowpoke, people that handle issues related to direct patient care. You can consult on the technical aspects and help with supervised work but as per bringing it to patient care directly, that can't happen. It's the same in the US. it doesnt take the professional out of the guy, he's good in what he does and I'm sure if you send him an email, he will explain slowly in simple terms that you can understand that he works via consultant pathologists. Like I said, go on NHS jobs and find me a job offer for consultant to a med laboratory technologist or search the NHS for one existing. Don't give me viapath |

dokyOloye: How does the pathologist whose work starts and ends in d lab know d state of the patient when he'snot d surgeon? The same clinical information on the lab request form which the scientists glance over is what he bases on. 4 days ago,I was called to see a patient in my friend's clinic cos he wasn't around. Patient was brought in unconscious, known diabetic and did a test in a private lab 2 days b4 d incidence. Turned out his random blood sugar was 475mg/dl,d lab scientist who ran d test told him to GO HOME, TAKE HIS DRUGS AND REST instead of telling him to rush to the nearest hospital. Now,if it were a pathologist that told him that,I would've speedily reported him to the medical council cos it was war b4 the man could be resuscitated, veins were already collapsed. You see why a scientist can never suffice for a pathologist. Well, you will never understand, I just pity d masses you ppl use as cannon fodder for your ego trip. These people are just on a mission to kill off Nigerian patients, it's endemic in the public and I wonder when it became legal for medical lab scientists to prescribe and inject things. They have no medical license which makes it a crime. A lot of people will be in jail in the future when patients start to go to court |

There is no hospital in the developed world that doesn't have a laboratory and these laboratories are headed by a medical laboratory scientist. Even in the UK, they have a consultant medical laboratory scientist. You are so fixated the only you're corrupt environment. Is the UK I practiced in or another UK? I never encountered a med lab scientist because I had no need to talkless of a consultant med lab , if I need questions answered about results, there's a pathology department or haematology with consultants and residents that have call bleeps. Like I said, stop spreading false info to impress the public that you matter. I never worked with consultant nurses though we had nurses that helped and we're good. Physiotherapists were never called consultants, they knew there jobs when invited. Pharmacists were mostly on their own and they were never consultants in the UK, they just did their jobs, checked the drugs orescribed, checked allergies and interactions and supplied. They never hung stethoscopes or touched the patients. Stop impressing local people who haven't travelled with your fake ojuelegba stories |

An era where doctors are termed omniscience is gone for good. The authority we have in laboratory diagnosis and testing still remain a trained medical laboratory scientists. Nigeria law make it clear, medical laboratory science is a distinct department and should be headed by a medical laboratory scientist. Doctors should live and let other live here in Nigeria. Enough of incurring into other peoples jurisdiction You don't know who a pathologist is... Your whole medical laboratory technology field, they created it. You're a mere technician... Stop fronting for the public and girls on nairaland, doctors are raiding your department daily and your women are succumbing because they know. We are sorry, you can't head a hospital lab, you are not authorized for quality control, you have no license to interphase with patients, the knowledge you think you have, sadly you do not. This is the plain truth, if you are so good, pls treat yourself and your relations and stop ranting online only to slip in through the back door of a clinic to whisper to the doctors. You guys are now the biggest threat to public health with your mushroom labs everywhere concocting results and culturing staff, even prescribing dangerously and promoting bacterial resistance. You all know nothing and are after your pockets. If this trend continues, all doctors will completely start boycotting all test results and investigations unsupervised and unauthorized by medical specialists in charge of that area. It will get to that point and we will see who will have a job. The older generation didn't deal with it decisively, we will do so in the interest of patient safety for which we are responsible and will be liable for |

The thing is their enforcement is selective... We law abiding citizens get stopped more than buses and transport vehicles they are obviously not road worthy, I refused to stop for one recently because of that reason... He ignored a dead crawling vehicle in front of me obviously because he felt he will gain more if I don't have what they demand. I also think they should upgrade and get more tech to automatically verify numbers, names, vehicle id and not just asking for the physical license. Driving under the influence of alcohol is also a major problem which I think should come to the fore. Standing on the road will not cause the change they need, they should just educate the public more and install cctvs to capture erring plate numbers and cars which can now be stopped even at a different location or prevented from renewing when it is due |

The problem with Nigeria is with the people Simple driving rules, patience and giving way would have prevented this catastrophe. Both keke and tipper are known for reckless driving with no consequences especially in Anambra. Asides the usual ranting about the government, we are wicked as a people to our selves, like inmates in a prison, harming and extorting ourselves. The only blame the government has here is not enforcing the law, as usual, I am sure this will be 'settled' with no one going to jail and the tipper will be back on the road in no time. |
