eyinjuege:Hahahaha... Serious inferiority complex o, our people are lost. Our people defer so much to white skin and talk down their own They don't realise that those guys are more of hype, they talk themselves up too much We need to start being more appreciative of our own |
I have worked in Nigeria and abroad, I have never used this... People that do nothing complain the most A whole unit failed to cannulate a patient in the uk and the procedure was canceled, no machine like this turned up Setting up iv cannula is an art |
Prison warders have no business outside guarding prisons and have no right to arrest anyone. They are ordinary civilians and are no different from desk officers. It is a great breach of the law and violation. Nigerians should learn not to sweep things under the carpet, the aggrieved should go to court and get justice, no matter how long it takes. It's even amazing the so called prison officers are not holding or handling there guns or themselves well... There could easily have been an accidental discharge from the video |
The headline of this post is a disaster... 'Kebbi State Governor (APC) Helped Abacha Looted Nigerian Treasury'.... Wow wow Ogbue in the highest, Nigerian 'yoots' and tenses self |
losky83:This is my major concern... It's no longer about emancipation, it's about power and control... And frankly, they no longer have educated and near sane people in these movements. Smh |
Let her hire 50 cent ![]() |
NSK4U:Kwa Kwa Kwa ... Low IQ ranting |
Classic Machiavellian tactic by el rufai... Confuse your enemies, bring them closer then strike... Something is brewing. Whoever told you to join in destroying tinubu felt comfortable telling you... I smell a rat ![]() |
NSK4U:Just read what you wrote and see how dumb it sounds. By any means, anyone can mourn anyway they like... Those people attacked were coming from church and may have gone to pray for souls lost. Last time I checked, moving about is a personal choice and the so called 'sit at home order' declared by iopb/massob are not binding on anyway since no one elected them into any government. This is igboland, democratic from times past, we are not so into usurpers trying to play on our emotions and hijack our grief in the quest for power, the kind of power that involves assaulting ordinary innocent people that don't buy into their creed. No one agreed to be assaulted, it's supposed to be a voluntary action and peaceful atmosphere... The ones that are on the road assaulting people, shouldn't they be sitting at home too... Smh. We haven't even gotten close to getting Biafra and some touts are already showing their colours, people from places I don't know. IF THIS IS HOW BIAFRA WILL BE IN THE END, PLEASE EXCLUDE ANAMBRA STATE FROM YOUR PLANS. Go and clean your brain and think again... Selfish Mofo till it visits a member of your family. |
Very nice move... They should proscribe that national tour association everywhere, especially in lagos |
sleek82:It's truly incredible that people can read without comprehension. I almost lost hope as I scrolled down till I saw your comment. Thanks |
oceaneverdry77:And you are the supposed big man... or big tout I guess should be more appropriate. People that lost family during the war respect this day in reverence to them and you usurpers called ipob or massob or whatever choose to spill blood of innocent people going about their business. The guy raised a genuine concern, he almost lost his mum to a bunch of miscreants that I am sure are not even nnewi indigenes talkless of Anambra and all you have to say is this. The genuine republican educated Igbos that are anti-ipob just won a new convert... Well done. The way you guys are going about it, Biafra will never come. If you ask why then you must be a fool... Who in this world wants to be ruled by a bunch of lawless miscreants that can't even reason? |
Yujin:Very sad! This post should be on front-page... Not posts of Regina this or whoever is living their normal lives. I don't know who the mod is but.... Lalasticlala take note ![]() |
Billyonaire, you're the real deal! My thoughts exactly... Any analytic brain can clearly see this. We are made to feel wrong and inadequate meanwhile we do a lot here. The average black man even distrusts his fellow black high qualified professional, they rather run to a white skin or Asian who is amongst the dregs in their own society. I traveled, saw this and left. We need to take some pride in ourselves, think deeply to improve and be patriotic which includes making demands of our rulers and decision makers and not just giving up and calling this country a shithole which frankly we are not. 99% of the people abroad and the intending ones are directly or indirectly involved in destroying this country. Them, their parents, siblings and relationships are the champions of all the corruption we see around us. Leave our leaders out of it for now, we Nigerians are inherently cruel to ourselves, starting from how we drive to bribe giving and taking. Our problem is not a leadership problem, it is a people problem |
ranson:Your post was very readable at least unlike the main posters but your conclusion veered off from your initial assertions which was surprising and was why i responded. I didn't see lack of empathy emphasized in your write up. you said you had to go round because no one will take you because of space and then gbam, you go off on the medical personnel like there was some other undertones we didn't get to read. the impression it gives medical personnel doing their best in dire situations is to withdraw more in th face of such misguided blame and hate. i have been to several other public offices in Nigeria and the scale of people neglect and corruption is much worse of. even trying to get a passport is an incredible calamity so before you start pointing fingers, look at yourselves and around you first. human response is reciprocal and doctors despite being professionals are human in the end and may lose it if overwhelmed and tired. Empathy is an entirely different matter from the issue here which is supposed negligence, all health care professionals must show empathy but it is increasingly hard to do much when you cant even find the resources or space to help in any way, especially in the face of such misguided hate! |
lulufaj:My brother, the entirety of medicine as a profession is doomed if you ask me, you essentially suffer and work long hours for nothing. 'Nigerian doctors' are in a different kind of trouble, we are endangered species... run from people who wont think and rather do you harm than act intelligently. the same people complaining here are the people that are very bad and negligent at their jobs, collecting bribes at every opportunity and treating waiting customers bad. their sense of ethics only comes awake in hospitals |
Venerable612:First intelligent and sensible post here! you have thought well like a lawyer that hospital is overwhelmed we need more hospitals and a healthcare finance system/insurance that is pay free at point of care to minimise delays |
ranson:you story doesnt make sense... like the Op, the hospital was full and you decided to blame the 'medical elements' where will they treat you? on idi-araba road? if they do now, you will still run to nairaland and post curses and pics Learn to separate your hatred for the 'medical elements' from the facts The hospital had no space and facilities, it has nothing to do with them... if the private hospital had no space, they wont still take you, they will always have space because they cost more. Instead of people to talk constructively about healthcare, about how to set up sustainable healthcare insurance that is free at point of care, we are here putting up infantile posts that are barely readable and understandable in perspective. Another election is looming, and here we are doing APC vs PDP like it is premier leaugue match of chesea vs man u Another thing nigerians should learn quickly is to complain and sue... no point shouting here. the courts will decide wrong or right! |
this thread has been running for 2pages but no one has asked if it is actually illegal to be in possession of tramadol? especially with a precription |
and who was taking all the pictures ![]() |
very soon Nigerian government will ban it too ![]() Just like everything useful that they are too lazy to regulate Dolts |
can all these 'actresses' just find a private room to continue their nollywood drama and leave us all alone? ![]() |
Wasky101:lol@real our girl friend ![]() community project you wan do your own commissioning ![]() lol |
I still wonder why tramadol was banned... it was an issue of good regulation which was a failure by the government. When people will understand what had happened is when their are no other alternatives for pain other than paracetamol, the mildest analgesic. you will be crying and the doctor wont be able to help any further. Even morphine is no longer on the table, no co-codamol because of codeine ban... no oral prescription opioids. Na only paracetamol, NSAIDS and injections remain for those in chronic pain and palliative end of life care. classic moronic example of throwing the baby out with the bath water big SMH |
this news is not verifiable how frequently does tramadol make one faint It will suppress respiration first before that I repeat- this drug is a useful pain killer for several sufferers stop throwing out the baby with the bath water regulate not ban |
the problem is the lack of regulation and pathways if you have ever experienced severe pain, then you will value this meds via prescription we shouldnt throw out the baby with the bath water, regulate not ban |
Espada10:guy you head dey there ![]() |
must people respond to everything? |
CandidNotes:very candid indeed... band of failures, like if any other profession on the average is doing any better in Nigeria, NYSC is the usual eye opener of what is to come. Most people have great expectations of medicine and think you are ordained with an endless bag of money buried in a pit behind your house when you graduate from medical school which is unfortunate ![]() Medicine has its goods and bad sides, the business side and the slave side depending on your level and hustle but generally it moulds character and makes you more calm, analytical, critical and patient, qualities that if channeled properly can lead to success in other spheres when you realize that just working and working for accolades is a bad deal in the end. all in all, it is a good economic decision to read medicine... you are always in the middle, you can go up... but you can never crawl down there for too long, unemployment rate is low in medicine |
Nigerians are getting it wrong with the health sector like someone rightly said here, there is no dedicated funding source, no tax, no estimate... nothing the government just constructs mighty empty shells then nothing gets done because nothing is available except a huge workforce that in health care you may be surprised to find that it is filled by admin staff that lobby to get jobs and not healthcare professionals. the doctor patient ratio in Nigeria is appalling and more are leaving monthly. not like the job is easier elsewhere but at least you work, get paid and feel like you have done meaningful work. Nigerian healthcare delivery is frustrating, this cash and carry medicine is nonsense sincerely and topical discussions like healthcare funding and insurance is not even up for discussion in nigeria, it simple here, just blame the doctor for your woes, refuse to pay him, blame him for failed deals with the government, etc the funny thing is that the healthcare workers rightly asking for more pay cant even afford healthcare bills with the same pay if they really fall ill...its all a shame really |
Laredojohn:word bro... word |
is this legal? ![]() |
