Interesting comments here both from the concerned general public of nairalanders and mtn loyalists, some actually sounded more like employees than loyalists. Anyways, that not my reasing for deciding to post a comment. Firstly, some of us seem to be missing the general point. People are not saying what mtn has done by reducing tarrifs is not commendable, what they are saying is that their actions while trying to play catch up has been overtaken by events. Being the last to join the tarrif slashing aprty and not offering something as attractive as those that came in before you does not seem to signify breakthrough thinking in my opinion, i however stand to be corrected. The only breakthrough thing they seem to have done is markketing their products on other platforms like mass sms to sirtel lines. I've gotten these sms just like i got one about 3 weekes agao saying i could make calls at 25k/ second. I made the calls and checked my balance and i was being charged old rate(which by the way is the most expensive in Nigeria even for on-net calls). I put a call through to customer care and the reciever confirms the sms came from mtn but wasn't for everyone and says it takes 24hrs to be effective. 48hrs later i was still being charged the same old rate so i give up and go back to good old etisalat/airtel. The pointba lot of people have made here is MTN has integrity issues and i agree, rather than try to call people stupid, i think MTN should try and address this hey issue afterall whether anyone believes it or not, the customer is always king Secondly, people believe they should have the right to choose to migrate to platforms. I believe a good product will always sell itself sooner or later so maybe MTN should start believing in that too. and finally, posting comments to say nihgerians are ungrateful or unsavoury things like that for airing their genuine concerns would not encourage them to saty, rather it'll give them more reasons to dump the network. Truth is MTN started this revolution of dynamic product marketing when Bola Akingbade took over, however they've been relegated to the background and their refusing to see accept that reality. It's only a matter of time before we know whether the nigerian public has been right or wrong all along. The magic number concept is really not knew as CDMA companies pioneered by starcomms started the VPN revolution and you can call a whole lot of numbers month long for a fixed price and the internet products MTN offers still has a lot of people complaining. Is trhe company really listening and feeling the pulse of its teeming customers ![]() |
300k and cash ready, deal? |
Why don't you post the price of the car to attract better attention. |
Is this vehicle still in the same stae as initially advertised seeing its been around for about 7months or so? |
Guy will 750k fly this baby? |
The NHF fund is actually not so difficult to access, the whole process has been redesigned except people aere deliberately trying to make it so. The easiest way though is to lock into an NHF sponsored project if interested and once payment of the minimum 10% is made, alllocation of the 90% balance is done through the Primary Mortgage Institution you're going through. |
Would N1million do for this ride? |
can we see the interior of the vehicle pls? |
Guy,i dey offer 700k for the ride. |
Chairman, what's the offer price and any more pics? |
Pls does anyone have info on the bank PHB allotment schedule? |
@ Peribiz, I would assume you are cliff clark or one of his cohorts. After collecting money from people in the name of managed forex trading investments, you have now decided to start decieving people with this PECT project thing. EFCC no far from una, believe me. |
@ foruma, Lovely work you're doing and thanks for sharing the link. Nice one. |
@ wanajO, thought you said you borrowed money to buy access PO cos you thought it was undervalued or did i read wrong? |
Shigidi, You don't have to change your CSCS number. Just take note of it and inform the new brokers that you already have a CSCS number when opening an account with them. The only thing that will change will be your account number. |
egoldman, When i first read your post it seemed quite straight to me even though you seemed confused about the payment angle but with chokit's post, i'd like you to please clarify on your post. If one is paying into intercontinental bank, i'd assume there's an arrangement for the bank to collect monies and as such the payment teller should just do the trick with respect to evidence of payment or am i getting something wrong. Also, would i be correct to assume intercontinental bank as a recieveing agent thus i can pay and submit my form to the bank. Your response would be highly appreciated. By the way, nice post. |
I think you're all getting the question wrong. The article that raised the question was a pull out from the proshare website and the bonus was refering to the past bonus and not this recent one. We all know there's no way on earth that bonuses will be credited into accounts before the registrar's book closure date. I appreciate the spirit of helping a brother though. Good one guys, a very good one indeed. |
Tooslar, Be not decieved, the sapphire club thing's an organised ponzi from the bank. Some of us ignorantly entered into this scheme almost a year ago and if you do your research well, most of those who joined have backed out a long time ago. For a scheme that started this lond ago, wouldn't you be durprised no one's making 50k monthly with all the marketing. Let's save people the stress of coping with deciet and loosing their hard earned cash too pls. I'm suprised the bank's still promoting this scheme. Believe me, except if things have changed someone's going to have the time to drag them to court soon. Then it'll be cheap advert for the bank. Come to think of it, why isn't this scheme being promoted openly via the media? |
@vizion, Guinness bonus shares have been credited to CSCS accounts. In case you don't have one then expect your paper certificate anytime soon. Cheers, |
I've been using one for about 3 months now and can tell you a few things: Is it cheap? You bet, even with air conditioning. I'd however like to correct the impression that there's no maintenance fee. You actually pay a fixed charge of about N136 monthly as maintenance fee and recently N962 as cost of the meter monthly which is spread over a 24month period on a single phased meter. It's however a much better option compared to the old system. |
What exactly is a bouncy castle if i may ask? |
Guys, any news on the goldlink private placement? It's past 15th. |
Seun, While i agree with you 100% in your drive to protect the integrity of the business section and also ensure people adhere to simple rules, i also think you should refrain from using terms like thunder fire them or replying someone's question by saying you're sure he's not blind. Doesn't sound nice and it defeats the sense of maturity a lot of people would wan to respect you for. Nice work anyway. I can understand the unnecessary stress you have to go through moving posts into the right sections. Maybe you assist them by posting a "step by step" article that would help in this regard. Just thinking, |
Sleek_chic, Yes you can report them and i think that's what you should do to get fast and effective results. Had same problem sometime ago and toook it to the notice of the NSE. They were called and reminded that such transactions were not suppossed to exceed 48hrs and if the DG should hear their liscence would be suspended. Guess what? My account was released under 48hrs. The 2 months will transform to under 2 days once you notify the appropriate authorities. |
Davidylan, Be nice. The application did not clearly state that it was meant for Engineering disciplines as it also includes mathematics and computer science. And assuming you were right, there are better ways to correct people for asking the obvious. He might just have missed out on the obvious. ![]() |
Mutual benefits has been on a roller coaster ride |
Transcorp just signed a $1.2 billion deal on Nitel/Mtel with Vodacom. Cheering news for transcorp investors i must say. |
Good point loads. Thing is i don't understand point7. Do this point mean when you forget to log off after using the net or are there other ways via which people could be viewing your mailbox and if so how do you catch them? |
