GS!!!!! I cannot believe this! Finally my brethren... To God be all the glory! I registered my profile on Dec 10 with 446, lost 5 points on Jan 2 because of my birthday.. we waited and we hoped! Missing ITA 4 good times; once on Dec 20th, twice when Draws were 442. We finally decided to for my spouse to rewrite ielts we had 8points hanging there, he however managed to add 2poins to our 441.. we stood at 443 as at last draw.. then draw again on the 11th, 444.. I began to rethink this Canada.. lol. We registered again for ielts on the 21st.. but God has smiled on us..totally grateful.. AOR loading in a bit.. lol

Well not true.. Same thing happened at the center my husband wrote his. (BC) The audio just stopped in the middle of section 2 and they played it again.

It’s not over until you get your results. There is power in the spoken word. It will end in praise!

I don't know whether all the candidates took test in the same room. My own hall has about 40 candidates. Yes, section 4 was replayed but I didn't have issue with section 4 before. Sections 1 and 4 are my favourites in listening. The middle sections usually have more words spoken and I flopped there. I personally told them I lost points in listening because there's no headphone. They promised it will likely be available as from next test date.

In my post, I didn't attempt to rubbish MOD. Fact is there were no headphones and it pumped my 68k down the drain. You won't compare someone sitting right in front of the speaker to someone from a village seated some distance.
Your husband would recall that some people wanted the volume higher while others wanted it turned down.

Truly, we need to cut IDP some slack as healthy competition would really do us some good in terms of price and favourable marking scheme. "Hell will have to freeze over" before BC would restart a tape for service failure. Last, last they will tell you to fill a complaint form which I doubt ever gets attention.

My husband is coming from the same test center. Lights went off during section 4 of listening but they played back the whole section 4! That means they listened to it twice! And even asked everyone if they were good. BC will never do that one. He also said the speakers were very clear, he heard everything.. and they were only 35 candidates writing. He also did his speaking test twice! Because the first time after the examiner gave him the cue card, before he started talking she started asking him the meaning of his middle name. After explaining, she said test was over. He complained after the test. Later that evening they called n rescheduled the test for the next day. Different examiner and test went as normal.
So i think we should try and cut IDP some slack.. they are really flexible, at least in Abuja. When you complain, they listen.

@ gistwivkome: I want to request for a remark only for now. I can afford to retake but I strongly believe I deserve something better because I finished the writing (letter & Essay), counted my words and made sure they were up to 150 & 250 for WT1 & WT2. I applied all needed techniques so am just curious why a 6.

For those of us still waiting for ITA, please don't see me as the bearer of bad news here, but those cutoffs most likely will not come down to the old levels we used to see. I mentioned this before, but it may have seen like I was being insensitive or something. The fact is just that I have seen all this happen before and is still happening with the Australian process. As more highly qualifies and highly disillusioned people realise how easy this process is, more and more of them will continue to populate the pool and consistently push the scores higher. Please start aggressively exploring any and all means of improving your score. if that means PNP or dusting those old diplomas and trying your luck with WES or taking your IELTS again, please look into it. let's leave abishek with his predictions and just try to get the scores we have as high as possible. Please do not see this as trying to discourage. it is only a call to action. I know how close I came to missing the boat with Australia because I was thinking cut off will come down. I also know I had to push my Mrs to write IELTS so we can improve our score rather than wait for scores to come down. Yes, all I am saying is not always feasible for everyone because of time and money factors...but it is something to consider...

There is absolutely nothing wrong in being optimistic. If you have the opportunity to increase your CRS scores, DO IT! I have been in the pool since December but ITA has been stylishly evasive. Another bummer again when there were no draws on Wednesday. Yesterday, I registered my spouse to retake Ielts with IDP. If he gets a 7 in all modules, my scores jump up 8points and puts me at 449. At least then I know we have done everything possible. May God bless all our hustle. It will end in praise!

Oh that was so fast: 1. cash was not complete for POF 2. Wife heavily pregnant.
Adding to complete POF while spending as the baby arrived 19/10/2017.(Big struggle)
Did passport a month after birth and did medicals on the 28/12/2017
Finally the money was complete.
AOR 2/1/2018.
Everyone went to sleep cos the hustle was read, actually expected to be at LVO cos we live in Dubai.
5/2/2018 medicals passed... (not too sure of the date)
20/2/2018 its PPR..

Make una no ask me about IP1 IP2 or NA nothing.. Seriously we were pursuing too much hustle to be bothered about where the application was.
its not as easy as its typed. The financial part was a huge one.. Money was not readily available as we thought we had our own pre ITA timeline on our heads..
