You can help yourself but the way I see you, the chances are slim.

Born2berich: Why would i think that it is only people on NSEMPA that trade share.
However, If thats is the case, explain what happened when for example, a bidder is ready to buy a stock @N5 then someone who wants to sell instead of accepting the bid decides to sell his own share at N4.6? Why sell lower than the bid price offer that is waiting to be sold to? Then towards the end of the trading session it suddenly just rallies and evrything shoots upwards. Bro everyones objective is ultimately to make money. It may be true that people with heavy wallets deliberately up the bid prices with tashere change just so they can sell millions or bilions, and the other way round with offer prices. If I had thet kind of money me sef go do am. As long as its not illegal. |

Born2berich: I still disagree with you.
I stated it some minutes ago when i noticed some price manipulations in UBA.
Definitely somebody wanted to peg the price at a cheaper amount to enable him buy.
UBA was almost on full bid, then all of a sudden someone crashes the price then they quickly mop it all up. Same that happened in FBHN plc. Oando and Transcorp where lossing heavily and all of a sudden things changed (WHen 1459 has almost reached a sudden reversal happens and everything is being mopped up.)
The only thing i can conclude for all the people doing JIJO is that no one can time the market. Maybe you think its only people on NSEMPA that trade shares. I know it can be very annoying but the reality is not everybody has access to live feeds. Someone on another platform for instance may see a price at N2 at 12pm, not knowing that plenty of bargains would have been made between 12pm and 1pm, and then place an order at a ridiculous price by 1pm. There are plenty of other reasons for crazy prices apart from manipulation. I'm not saying manipulations don't happen, I don't even know. But this is my own theory of how crazy prices come up. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by duni04(m): 2:23pm On Nov 21, 2014 |
This thing is basic demand and supply. It could be that people are anxious of a rally next week and mopping up value stocks against next week hance the late day rally. Its not enough to just sit in the corner and wait for oando to fall to 17 naira or transcorp to fall to 3.1, and when it doesn't, you say there is manipulation. If u wan enter enter. If not sit down quietly. |

Aks: Oand and Transcorp price manipulations ongoing, NSE- i hail theeeeee It's not manipulation. Its called bargaining. I changed my price almost 5 times just to enter oando. |

edogirl2: Just imagine pictures being reported around the world now of Nigeria's National Assembly being overrun by the military.
Again this just feeds into the widely - held perception of Nigeria as a basket case.
Foreign investors who are already pulling their money out of the stock market due to the sliding value of the Naira, now have another reason - political instability - to accelerate their withdrawal.
I can't see how today's event will not weaken the Naira even further.
My question to the President is, why go this far to humiliate our country? You forgot the insurgency in the north. Jonathan is going to run the country aground. Its just a matter of time. |

chukwudi44: IS THE PDP DIVIDED? SERIOUSLY ARE YOU FOR REAL? “For the avoidance of doubt, the question of whether or not there is a division or faction in the PDP has been resolved by Lord Justice Faji of the Ilorin Division of Federal High Court in suit FHC/ IL/CS/6/2014, in which the court held that indeed there were factions in the PDP. Again in suit no FHC/S/ CS/4/2014, the Sokoto Division of the Federal High Court per Justice Aikawa, the judgment of the court was that there was not only a division, but faction in the PDP which later merged with the APC. “As the number four citizen in the hierarchy of protocol in the country, the speaker is entitled to security protection by the security agencies. Therefore we see the action of the acting Inspector General of Police as not only a contempt of the courts but a ploy to bring harm to the person of Rt. Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.” Imam stressed that nothing in the constitution, nor the Police Act confers on the police force adjudicatory powers including the interpretation of the constitution. “In any case, even Section 215 of the 1999 Constitution does not contemplate the issuing of or compliance with unlawful orders by the president and or the Inspector General of Police, respectively. “What the acting Inspector General of Police has done therefore has no basis in law including the constitution which he has cited. “It is a brazen act of crass impunity, gross constitutional breach and contempt of court. The Inspector General should desist from assuming or usurping the constitutional functions of the judiciary,” Imam said. He reminded the IG that the speaker was elected by House members from among themselves under Section 50(1) (b) of the constitution and could only be removed from office by two-thirds of the members of the House. Imam stressed that Section 68(1)(g) of the constitution, which refers to a member vacating his seat on the grounds of defection, which the IG referred to, has a proviso, which has been and is still a matter for judicial and not police interpretation. He added, however, that the speaker has faith and confidence in the judiciary and is persuaded that it cannot be stampeded into administering injustice. |
