Nope, that didn’t happen in 1966. We wouldn’t be having this conversation had it happened.
A group of majority igbo army officers killed the political elite in the north. The reprisal attacks against the igbos in the north culminated in the events that led to the war in '67. I don't forsee anything different happening. Igbos have lived in the north for generations. Are they prepared lose everything again when another war happens?

Be very careful what you wish for. Nothing stops the UGM from returning the favor with far more deadlier consequences. They can head up North and return the favor.

The only thing Fulanis understand very well is violence. They have not seen one which is why they keep asking for it and that includes you.
This also happened in 1966 and we know how it ended. I am not trying to discourage or anything. I am actually in support of leaving Nigeria. But i just hope you know it comes at a very massive cost.

And this is the brain of a primitive black African. You think they will rain bombs on Imo State and all will be well - LMAO. This is not 1967 , this is 2021.

• First of all, there will be MUTINY in the army, and it will be a case of to your tents oh Israel
• Secondly the Nigerian Army should get ready to fight wars on 4 fronts - against the East, ISWAP, Middle Belt and maybe others.
• Thirdly whereas you had only a few IPOB & ESN members fighting the army, millions of youth will take arms to defend their father land and there will be a slaughter of Nigerian soldiers
• Fourthly the Nigerian government will collapse because ISWAP will take over Abuja and there will be a refugee crisis like no other

Now for once, black ma REASON !!! cheesy
Very unfortunate reply. You can't make your points without insults. Good luck to you and your IPOD!

Stop deceiving urself.

UGM are unknown, U cant exert high casualty on people u dont know
So you think the very unprofessional Nigerian Army will fold its arms and watch its soldiers get killed? They'll start rounding up innocent people and killing anyone they suspect. They've even started dropping bombs in imo. Their assumption now will be that everyone in the South East is IPOD or ESN and therefore everyone is a legitimate target. That's what they did at the birth of Boko haram in Borno when they went after the Kanuri people.
I am in support of anyone that wants to leave this country but i hope you know it'll come at a massive cost.

Bad time to be a soldier or police. You can never win a guerrilla warfare not even almighty US(US vs Vietnam, Russia vs Afghanistan, ). ' The worst enemy is the unknown enemy, you can never know when, how and where it will strike.

Most reason sensible countries don't play with their citizens, but Nigeria chose to fight her citizens.
This is a very wrong and misleading analogy. If you go back and read about those wars that you mentioned, the Americans and Russians had fewer casualties than the people they fought. Except you're happy with the Nigerian
Army demolishing and destroying the entire South East and killing everyone there like they did in 1967 - 1970, i suggest you rethink your advise

Its actually possible to post a comnent without resorting to insults. I didn't mention 30yr olds women or feminists. And I am not a woman. Please carry your wahala and go elsewhere. Thanks.

a 22 year old isn't old enough for marriage?

You want them to be prostituting and become an old dejected lovlorn-shrew like you?

Old frustrated feminists like you won't allow these young girls breathe except you corrupt them and level the playing field for oold oafs like you whose pussy is as dry as the biblical wilderness.

Many women now see their menopause in their 30s, but a damaged community object like you would even encourage a woman to keep close male friends in their marriage when it is clear the male friend wants only one thing.

Na God go punish bitter old olosho like you.
Bros i agree with her. 22 is too young for marriage. Most 22yr old girls today are busy having the time of their lives, and having guys shower them with money and attention. Plus having random and meaningless sex. Its a humongous mistake to wife anyone of that age. She'll want to enjoy the attention and freedoms her friends are enjoying. If you cage her or try to counsel her, it won't end well.

Nnannapat:
If truly we want to move forward as one nation then state police is inevitable. What the IGP was saying goes to show his IQ level.
State police will be independent both in funding and administration, it will have a National Police Council drawn equally from all the states that will oversee it's functions and also deal with petitions against it, the trainings will still be done at national police colleges, the only difference with what we have now is that the entire workforce has to be from the state or the geo political zone.
Crime is local, policing also has to be local. Anybody that is against state police is directly calling for the disintegration of Nigeria. This is 2021 not 1981, we have all surpassed our elastic limit.
Things must surely change.
Your idea makes sense but the model is faulty. We want to break the Central policing system in Nigeria because of the bureaucracy involved. If we adopt your model we will be replacing one bureaucracy with another. Everything would still have to be routed through Abuja with your model.
If we have state police, states would be able to budget for their unique policing needs. Nobody waits for apprival from Abuja to do anything. BTW, we already have an Police Service Commission that is similar to your National Police Council and its as dead as the police force itself.
Politics / Re: Governors Rooting For State Police Are Inviting Anarchy – IGP by duni04(m): 8:45am On May 21, 2021
Civilized countries that have the State police also have fears that there will be abuse in their utilization. That is with these countries have implemented checks and balances to ensure the state police is not abused. In Brazil there is state and local police and then a Federal police that steps in when there is abuse or compromise of policing at the local level. In America there is state police that is independent. The FBI wades in when there is abuse or compromise of policing at the state or local level.
How can the IGP of Nigeria just dismiss state policing in Nigeria without conducting any studies or even pilot adoption. Its irresponsible! The central police is not working becaise everything ckmes from Abuja! A police man that wants to fuel his van in Adamawa has to wait for funds from Abuja! Its a mess!!! Police barracks nationwide are death traps because everyone is waiting for money from Abuja! Its not working!
Instead of the IGP to advise on another system that works, he is ignorantly and dogmatically dismissing the state policing model that has worked well in other countries. Makes you wonder if these guys are deliberately rooting for insecurity in Nigeria or are just grossly and overwhelmingly incompetent!

That they; the pastors have done successfully in Nigeria. That is why the country has not been burnt down because the church has worked on the minds of the people to be hopeful and put things in the hands of God instead of fighting for their rights.
Very interesting point of view. Where do we draw the line between striving for calm in a sinking ship and rallying the occupants of the ship to fight to save the ship. Do we as christians continue sitting tight, hoping things will get better or do we actually start being the agents of that change we are yearning for?
Pastor Adefarasins view point is interesting in that he is neither asking people to hope nor be the agents of change that Nigrria badly needs. He is instead asking people to have a plan B and run away.

Bro its a vicious cycle. The people who with their ingenuity and foreign education, are supossed ro fix the country, are the ones that are leaving enmass! Who then do we expect to fix the country? Angels? Of course its the thugs and miscreants that we're leaving behind. I'm not saying i wouldn't leave if i had the chance but I'm convinced that this cycle will break the moment the educated and enlightened people in the country say enough is enough and decide to be selfless and forgo life's pleasures and stay back and fix the country.
The reason we have a clueless person like Buhari in charge is because the more enlightened people have decided to step back, run away and enjoy life more. Evil thrives when the good people stand by and do nothing, in Nigeria's case its Evil thrives when the good and educated run to Canada and the UK. Nigeria will never be built by thugs and miscreants or clueless people like Buhari.

The question is "was the system in Kaduna working before?
The answer is no. That is why drastic changes are being made in Kaduna. The governor is drastically reducing the civil service and making it more efficient. Although i disagree with his uncompromising and brash methods, I'm 100% in support of his reforms. The system is clearly not working and we need someone to dislodge those corrupt and nepotistic strongholds that are preventing the system from working efficiently.

An online newspaper broke the story about his baby mama. I'm suspecting Reno planted this story about a group threatening his family. He probably did that to deflect people's attention from his baby mama. He has a well known track record for planting stories in the media as Wendell Simlin.

I detest Buhari and how he's messed up this country but i also know that Reno omokri was one of those who stole this country blind under Jonathan. He ate Dasuki's money with FFK and Methu as PDPs media people. He unlike Methu and FFK ran away immediately after Buhari came to power because he was afraid. It thoroughly annoys me when the same criminal rebrands himself as a Buhari critic and makes himself out to be an activist all the time. He is just one of them. Wolf in sheep clothing. I think you need to do a little more research into who Reno omokri really is. The guy follow FFK and Methu chop PDP media money from the Dasuki loot. That's why he hasn't come back to Nigeria since. He is also notorious for planting articles in the media under fraudulent names. He once sent out a disparaging article to newsmen about Sanusi Lamido being a Boko haram sponsor to justify Jonathan's sacking of Lamido as CBN governor. We all remember Lamido was sacked because he was critical of Jonathan's massive corruption and in preparation for Jonathan's looting of the Dasuki arms funds. He used a fake name, Wendell Simlin to send that article.
Omokri now spends his days travelling around the world, tweeting and impregnating women with the remainder of his share of the Dasuki loot. Same characteristics displayed by his fellow Dasuki looter, FFK.

The part of this article that got me was the part that said "in a statement released to newsmen". We all know Reno omokris antecedents. He will go and release fraudulent statements to newsmen under fake names in order to prove a point. The dubious Reno has a track record of that with Wendell simlin.

It's shocking that Nigerians have forgotten the fraudulent Wendell simlin character that Reno omokri created because he wanted to criticise some people anonymously. That man is a confirmed fraud! The guy now travels around the world with the remaining money that Jonathan released for publicity during his 2015 election bid, which Reno was in charge of.
Reno has never been a man of integrity. Don't get me wrong, i also detest Buhari but i still find it hypocritical for someone who is fraudulent and who has a dubious character to accuse anyone else of fraud or incompetence. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

Elrufai has excellent policies for developing Kaduna and he's they're actually starting to work. But he lacks tact and decorum. He has exhibited this with his handling of the kidnapping incidents and now Labour. He went and belligerantly announced in a confrontational manner that he was sacking people and that they were a burden on thr budget. Although he has mapped out excellent post retirement benefits for these workers, nobody cares because he has gone to the negotiation table with high shoulders and belligerence. Same way he handled the kidnapping incidents in his state.
The man works better as a consultant that takes orders and does a professional job rather than a decision maker. He's a terrible politician.

This is what you get with zoning. When it is their turn they fill all the positions with their people. Jonathan did his own, obasanjo did his own so you people should keep quiet while the Katsina peoole do theirs. Enjoy the dividends of zoning and Federal character over merit. No system can ever be efficient when there is a deliberate effort to entrench bureaucracy, Nepotism and Clanishness with that nonsense called Federal Character and zoning.

The amount of money we are generating from power is not enough to fund fixing the grid...or anything much.

A few years ago, power cost N53 per kwh ...to make...and it was being sold until last year at N20-30 PER kwh.

Let me repost the image I posted earlier...read the points raised BELOW.
The honest truth is that because of padipadi accounting practises in Nigeria, Discos are using all kinds of criminal methods to make massjve profits and under report what they actually remit from customers. By doing this, they are destroying the entire electricity value chain from the gencos to the customers. Discos use estimated billing in most cases where they are making even 100% over the true cost of the electricity they supply. The same Discos are also very hesitant to roll out the prepaid meters because it will erode their criminal profits. The day we will know the true state of things is the day KPMG or Deloitte will audit our Discos. The regulators know about these practises but because these Discos were sold to politally exposed persons - Jonathan and his friends, there's nothing anyone can do.

The problem is

1.The grid is out of date and needs fixing

2.The Trnasmission company of Nigeria is dependent on funds raised by the DISCOS for fixing the grid

3.However, due to the fact that power in Nigeria has been charged at a price below its cost of production, there isn't enough money to fix the grid...and it needs tens of billions of dollars to fix.

4.The way forward is for every house to be metered, and power to be deregulated. Let the DISCOS charge as high as 100 naira per kwh (okay, that's too much tho)...so that they can earn a profit that can be ploughed into fxing the grid and also power generation.

Nigerians should read the PWC report on funding on power in Nigeria. For those who cannot read long story, the summary page is below.

Remeber the GSM....we paid high prices for GSM. We paid as high as 10000 naira for SIM cards alone...if not higher. They earned insane profits...and used those profits to build up our GSM network that provides the basis of our strong IT and telecoms sector.

Let power be deregulated. Then there would be no more system collapse.
Another crazy factor is that we use a centralized grid. Every newly created power station has to supply power to the messed up national transmission network that inefficient. Instead of them to let companies and states generate and transmit their own power locally, they have turned power into another Federal character candidate. Pitiful! Nigeria would be 10000× better than dubai today but for those people up north.

I think Nigerians should stay in their country and try to make it better. There's no point running away from your own country to seek happiness elsewhere. There is no easy life anywhere. Stay in your country and make things better.
The whole idea of running is really strange because the same people you are running away from in Nigeria are the same people that have also run away too. So the question becomes - do Nigerians behave like animals to themselves in Nigeria but behave different to themselves abroad?
