Nice one, Op. Hard truth, you told! South Korea is a sweet country sha. I was there from 2004 to 2007. Back then it was very easy to land a factory job because there were jobs everywhere; and factories were eager to hire blacks. My first job was at a textile washing and dying factory sandwiched between Uijeongbu and Dongducheon. From there I moved on 6to a jeans making factory somewhere after Pucheon. Korean factory jobs no be moi-moi oo! Na twelve hours, Monday to Saturday. I recall one winter evening during dinner at the cafeteria the immigration raided the jeans factory I was working in. The factory had workers from 9ja, the Philippines, Nepal and Peru. Come see run! The 'ajuma' (elderly woman cook) hid me and some Filipinos inside her room. I was scared 'shitful' because I was carrying a student visa, and knew my visa would be cancelled if I was caught. The immigration team searched but didn't find us. A few workers were caught but no 9ja guy was caught. Back then 9ja guys used to put up a fight with the immigration police. After that experience, I returned to Itaewon where I was living and concentrated on my studies. It was during that period I landed my first part-time ESL job. I learnt how to teach English as a second language in Korea! The rich experience I gained in Korea followed me into China where I'm currently based. I feel very nostalgic talking about Korea. I dated my first Caucasian chic there. Shagged a good number of western, Filipina, Korean and even a Kiwi fanny there! For clubbing, I used to frequent Kings Club and X.O. For mellow evenings, I used to chill at Geckos,The Loft and Reggae Pub. For cheap clothes, I used to shop till I dropped at Dongdemun! For second hand electronics, Yongsan base was my go-to place because I had friends there. For a quick Korean rice and stew, Ajuma-half-chicken was my favourite spot. The tiny restaurant was situated right behind the building housing Burger King. Has Itaewon changed much? How long have you been in 'Koko' for? Is Haebangcheon still thriving and teeming with blacks? Are those 'ashewos' still on hooker hill? Take care, bro. May God bless your hustle.
Chairman e be like say we get history for that south Korea. I was there from 2009 to 2012, loved every minute of South Korea, the food, women and the culture. My guy I dated all kinds of women, you name it, Korean, Japanese, American, Canadian and one Malaysia lady wan one kill with sex. Make I start with my Korean girl, I met her at Suwon train station at the club, she was crazy about me and took me all over Korea to enjoy the culture. I remembered the night she saw my anaconda, she shoutoooooo ..chineke, I don die today , I told her don’t worry I be gentle gaint, the rest was history …don’t mind them ..they like am dieeeee..and once their men see them with u ..they will never date them again…
Japanese Girl I met her on a dating site, she flew from japan to see me, and we started at Hamilton in iteawon, she was 45... but had the body of a 25yr. chairman ,my American girl (u fit know am or don even test am) was a popular girl at kings club and reggae pub( full of Africans).. .. we dated for 3 weeks ,she was an English teacher ….but due to my crazy ways ,I refused to settle to one girl ….last I saw or heard she married a Yoruba boy and the had twins…but she was a freak lol….you can’t trust our 9ja brothers.. One South African girl wan be my friend. I introduce to my 9ja friend. Last I heard they got married…good for him…she was not my type at all…
So I returned back to Korea, in 2013 for few months …it was not the same again. Boys don leave. Either they marry akata enter us or Canada. Or relocate to another place.. I had fun in south Korea….yesooooo “ashewos” still dey hooker hill.. You remember that short Korean girl wan get yansh like aunty nkechi…. We called her “ baby G”…. those us soldiers always going in and out of her room …..
I will go back to korea again in a heart beat… great place to live...Cheap food ….cheap rent ….low crime rate ..and most important all kinds of women ..lol…..most foreigners from Ireland or America ..Never leave Korea due to the easy life .

Sorry ladies and gents ..been going through alot of problems currently that's why am not active or posting

So I met this beautiful half British half Swedish lady online ..we hit it off ..I told her I was looking at applying for a program in sweden ..she was so supportive and sent me documents which I used to apply for visa to come study in sweden.
But I never gave her the intention I was interested in serious relationship ..just friends helping one another..

Well I decided to visit Poland due to the fact it's cheap and she decided to visit also with her friends..but so far we been crashing and not been nice to one another.

Pictures posted are at the airport in Poland ..so I used Uber from the airport to my location which was like 40 mins away..and it was really cheap.

quote author=WILL10 post=54393137]5 Legal and Basic Job types for foreigners in Korea(especially D2 Students)

Hello friends, just thought i should share my thoughts concerning the job prospects specifically for students, as this have always been the most popular and common questions i get through emails, week-in and out.

Korean Law states that students are only permitted to officially work on part time(max 20 hours weekly) and only after completing 6 months in Korea. However, these laws are often flawed or flouted by students. Below are the 5 cardinal jobs a student could roll-on with until graduation here.

1. Factory Jobs
-Usually long-term or monthly,
-Pay is bi-monthly or monthly and its awesome too.
-Minimum $1,800 USD monthly.
-Not so easy to secure for students as it requires documentations(most times), time-demanding and would sure affect your academics.

2. Tekbe (Arabite) Jobs
-Casual or short-term jobs.
-Pay is daily and good too.
-Minimum $70 USD or much more per day.
-Could be day, night or weekend jobs.
-Quite easy to secure and mostly okay to manage with academics.

3. English Teaching jobs
-Usually part time or purely full time jobs.
-Pay is bi-weekly or monthly and its awesome too.
-Minimum $2,000 USD Monthly, depending on the number of hours you work per week and your bargaining strength.
-Extremely tough to secure for anyone other than the recognized Native English speaking countries(check on google for the countries).
-Students could get it based of sheer-luck or strong familiar referrals.

4. Paid Internship.
-Purely formal company jobs.
-Usually medium-term or semester vacation jobs,
-Pay is bi-monthly or monthly and its awesome too.
-Minimum $1,500 USD monthly.
-Not so easy to secure for students as it is competitive.

5. Business, skill-oriented, short-term personal contracts, others.
-Importation/exportation business.
-contracts using your skill-sets (examples: App Programming skills, hair-making and cooks(for girls), remotely working as English translators, corrector, writers, etc.)
-No strings attached regarding timing and pay, as it is entirely up-to you and your clients.

Please be well informed prior to coming here so you don't get into a fix. "Fore-warned is Fore-armed"

NB: The info listed above are purely based on my personal opinion/experiences. However, they could slightly differ with the views of other Nigerian residents in SK.

Cheers.
olisasegun:
Dear Consulate General,

On Each Applicant Being Treated Fairly and On Their Own Merit

My name is XYZ MD, a Medical Doctor working in a federal government hospital in Nigeria; I applied for an American non immigration visa and attended the interview on Tuesday (21/07/2015) at the Lagos consular office (Passport Number: A06712115 and Confirmation No: AA0054JJQO).

The purpose of which I intend to visit the US is both academic and humanitarian. I had planned to attend a medical conference themed “Difficult Fractures around the World” that will take place in Richland, Washington, September 16-19, 2015; a comprehensive discussion on treatment of difficult fractures all over the world.

SIGN (Surgical Implant General Network), the organizers and sponsors of this annual conference also give free intramedullary nail for treatment of poor patients with long bone fractures and I am fully involved in this free treatment in my country.

While waiting in one of the transient area at your embassy I noticed where it was boldly written that ‘we know some are nervous because this is their first visa interview, but they should be assured each applicant will be treated fairly and on their own merit’ (I might not have used the exact words!!).

However, to my greatest surprise the gentle lady who interviewed me appeared to lose interest when she realized I have not travelled before. She even used my supposedly strong points against me; monthly income and being a resident doctor.

She demanded to know why I have not travelled before despite my bulky monthly income, I told her I am very busy because of my training program as an Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, the relevance she seemed not to understand. This I believed should have counted in my favor for the purposes of my US visa application. Moreover, the culture of travelling starts one day, why not with United States.

While studying the major criteria for granting of non immigrant visa: the purpose of travelling (mentioned above), ties in Nigeria that will ensure I return and the financial ability to afford the trip and stay in the United States and perhaps most importantly not being a risk to your country’s interests; I strongly believe my application should have been granted without issues.

I have a good and enviable career with Federal Medical Centre, a tertiary hospital and one of the best of its kind in Nigeria. My gross monthly a salary is #Bleep,Bleep (about $x,Bleep)

I am member of West Africa College of Surgeons and due for fellowship examination early next year after 6 years as a resident (This I would never jeopardize for an unknown future in the US). Even if am given stay permit in your country, it will take me a minimum of 10 years to get to where I am today in my country.

Additionally, I am married with two children, I have 2 cars and landed properties in two different towns (one of them is presently being developed). You can say I belong to upper class in my country, this is a comfort zone obtained after many years of hard work which I will never throw away.

Above all, I was never given the chance to discuss or prove most of these highlighted facts during the interview.

Lastly, I have devoted all my life to serving humanity and helping people get well. I have no family, or friends in the USA and I am definitely not flight or health risk. I believe I was not treated fairly.

I have made this complaint so that my case can be revisited if possible.

Thank you.

Dr. XYZ

Thank you for your email, your concerns are noted.

We do not have an appeal process. Applicants must wait at least ninety days to reapply. However, we strongly recommend that applicants only reapply if they believe that their circumstances have changed or they are able to present additional, compelling evidence of their socioeconomic ties to Nigeria or their reason for travel to the United States. Evidence may come in many forms, but when considered together, must be enough for the interviewing officer to conclude that the applicant's overall circumstances, including social, family, economic and other ties abroad, will compel him or her to leave the United States at the end of a temporary stay. “Ties” are the various aspects of life that bind one to one's place of residence, such as family relationships, employment and possessions. As each person’s situation is different, there is no single answer as to what constitutes adequate ties. Eligibility determinations for non-immigrant visa applications are made on the basis of the information presented by the applicant at the time of the interview. Refusals under Section 214(b) cannot be appealed or overturned, but they are not permanent. If the applicant is unable to establish eligibility to the satisfaction of the adjudicating officer, his or her only recourse is to reapply.

We regret any inconvenience this decision may have caused you. If you choose to reapply in the future, our practice is to have a different officer handle the interview if possible.

We hope this answers your questions.

Sincerely,

Hi,

I need your advice because I have a situation right now. I am an international graduate student currently studying in Canada. I went for a written driver’s examination. After the exam, I meet two guys that wrote the exam with me and we got talking. I informed them of my intentions to get my driver’s license sent to me from my country. Luckily they said they are actually planning the same. Since we are student of the same school and we are from the same country, one is even from my department in the school we agreed to save cost by getting their own license sent to my brother and then my brother added mine. Making three licenses in a package all with different names and information. It was indicated on the waybill that the package contains 3 licenses no form of concealment or any foul play
So my brother sent it to me and we all contributed the money meant for the courier. But surprisingly, it was held. Instead of the license to be delivered by the courier, I got a notice of seizure mail from CIC with the description of the item seized being individual names, and date of birth on the licenses. And a message to the client which states that: If you want, your documents will be returned send your request by fax to the fax number of the officer below.

(1)It was stated beneath the filled form that item seized from international mail and courier service will be disposed off in accordance with the immigration and refugee protection regulations. Should you wish to discuss this matter you may contact the fax within 30days of seizure

(2)The information provided on this form is collected under the Authority of the immigration and refugee protection Act. It is protected by the privacy act and is accessible to you and will be stored in personal information bank number CIC Bleep 180.

(3) The notification states that it was held under immigration and protection act section 140: An officer may seize and hold any means of transportation, document or other thing if the officer believes on a reasonable ground that it was fraudulently or improperly obtained or used or that the seizure is necessary to prevent its fraudulent or improper use or to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Now, the other two guys involved are saying it is not a big deal that we should forget it as they are not ready to engage in any tussle with the immigration. They claimed theirs was issued straight from FRSC office but despite that we tried tracking and its saying invalid information even mine despite doing the data capture before leaving Nigeria.

On my own part, being the receiver, I fear having a bad record because I will be applying for SOWP for my wife to be very soon. I don’t want my applications rejected on bad record grounds. Yet I need the two guys to agree with me because if Cic wants to confirm from them and they deny out of fear, I will be in a big mess. Does number 2 have a bad effect on my record? If I refuse to make request for the seized document, will there be a bad record or can this affect my future applications? Please advise as I am having sleepless night already.

@fhemmy @justwise @onyeoma8 @siga @akanni @chrigo please advise i can't sleep
