Hello all,

Please I need hints on the activities of job agencies like Jobberman, career 24, etc. Will I visit them to drop my CV and credentials, do l have to pay? I would be grateful if I can get all necessary information. I tried the websites and maybe because I am using phone, l am only getting to "download apps". Please anyone that has had one on one dealing with any good agencies should help out.

I don't want to rest on my oars anymore. I had before now dropped my Cv to schools around me but the only one that called me, I messed up big time, during the micro teaching. I got a call just when I got to the school that a distance family friend who lost his wife not long ago is also dead! It destabilizes me and my mind was just wandering during the micro teaching proper. I had to apologise to the panel and told them about the call I got.

My people any advise and suggestions is welcome o. I am presently not working. I have masters in educational management and was a vice principal.

@OP, why don't you try home lesson? I believe as an Engineer, u will good knowlege of mathematics. You can start from there and with prayers and God's help, something good with come around. Get to meet with parents with children in primary or secondary school. Make friends with teachers, they can link u with parents. Talk to church members with children. Etc. I wrote something similar to yours on Nairaland about 2years ago. But I have to look inward. I learnt soap making from a former class mate, started selling with little profit, later went for craft making. From d first day of craft training I made N300 profit and had to combine soap making and craft befor I got a teaching jobb which take home pay cannot really take me home. But i am able to cope because of d skill I'd acquired while jobless. Am still searching for something better but am managing what I have. You can learn from me brother. God be with you.

AND THEY CRUCIFIED HIM
By C. Truman Davis
April 13, 2011

A medical doctor provides a physical description:

The cross is placed on the ground and the exhausted man is quickly thrown backwards with his shoulders against the wood. The legionnairefeels for the depression at the front of the wrist. He drives a heavy,
square wrought-iron nail through the wrist deep into the wood. Quickly he moves to the other side and repeats the action, being careful not to pull the arms too tightly, but to allow some flex and movement. The cross is then lifted into place. The left foot is pressed backward against the right foot, and with both feet extended, toes down, a nail is driven through the arch of each, leaving the knees flexed. The victim is now
crucified.

As he slowly sags down with more weight on the nails in the wrists, excruciating fiery pain shoots along the fingers and up the arms to explode in the brain -- the nails in the wrists are putting pressure
on the median nerves. As he pushes himself upward to avoid this stretching torment, he places the full weight on the nail through his feet. Again he feels the searing agony of the nail tearing through the nerves between the bones of his feet.

As the arms fatigue, cramps sweep through his muscles, knotting them deep relentless, and throbbing pain. With these cramps comes the inability to push himself upward to breathe. Air can be drawn into the
lungs but not exhaled. He fights to raise himself in order to get even one small breath.

Finally, carbon dioxide builds up in the lungs and in the blood stream, and the cramps partially subsided. Spasmodically, he is able to push himself upward to exhale and bring in life-giving oxygen.

Hours of limitless pain, cycles of twisting, joint-renting cramps, intermittent partial asphyxiation, searing pain as tissue is torn from his lacerated back as he moves up and down against rough timber. Then another agony begins: a deep, crushing pain deep in the chest as the pericardium slowly fills with serum and begins to compress the heart.

It is now almost over. The loss of tissue fluids has reached a critical level. The compressed heart is struggling to pump heavy, thick, sluggish blood into the tissues. The tortured lungs are making frantic effort to gasp in small gulps of air. He can feel the chill of death creeping through his tissues.

Finally, he allows his body to die.

All this the Bible records with the simple words, "and they crucified
Him" (Mark 15:24).

Christianity EtcDoing The Impossible by dunnitara(op): 6:14am On Mar 08, 2011
Subject: [Spiritual Digest] DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE (Part 2)

Dearly Beloved,
DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE (Part 2)
"But when [Peter] saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!'" (Matthew 14:30 NIV).
In the first part of this message, we saw how Simon Peter was ready to do the impossible by doing three things: he recognized the Lordship of Jesus; he took the initiative of asking to walk on water; and he was ready to leave his comfort zone (that is, the comfort of the boat). He also did other things that are worthy of note for anyone who also wants to do the impossible.
The fourth thing that Peter did was that he moved toward Jesus (verse 29b). When he got down from the boat and started walking on the water, he did not move towards any other direction except the direction of Jesus. He knew that he was walking on water because of Jesus because without Jesus he could do nothing (see John 15:5b). He was not full of himself. Anyone who will do the impossible must be ready to be God-conscious and not self-centred.
The fifth thing is that anyone that will do the impossible must be ready for trials of faith (verse 30). One has to take note of something here that the writers of the Gospels were silent of: what did the other disciples say or do when Peter was getting down of the boat and started walking on the water? Did they discourage or encourage him? If they did not say or do anything as the Bible portrays it, what was the effect of their indifference to Peter? Anyway, Peter was walking on the water, but he considered the prevailing circumstance (the wind) and he started to sink. The action or inaction of the other disciples and the turbulent wind were trials of faith for him. Unfortunately, he lost focus of Jesus that he was moving toward. This made him to start to sink. A matter of fact is that in this world, anyone that will do the impossible will face many trials of faith. Such trials that may be in form of anything either good or bad are inevitable (see John 16:33; Acts 14:22; 1 Thessalonians 3:4; 2 Timothy 3:12). How do you react to them? Was it possible that Peter doubted as he was walking on the water? James said, "But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. A person like that, unable to make up his mind and undecided in all he does, must not think that he will receive anything from the Lord" (James 1:6-7 TEV).
Peter did the right thing: he called on the Lord (verse 30b). He did not rely on any other thing. As a professional fisherman, he could rely on his professional experience and try to swim either back to the safety of the boat or to Jesus. He might have remembered one of the many promises of God. One of such promises is, "Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour me" (Psalm 50:15 NIV. See also Psalm 91:15; Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 7:7; James 5:13).
Are you ready to do the impossible of walking on the trouble water of your life? Then be ready to do these highlighted things. Wait for the concluding part next week

A newly arrived soul in Heaven was met by St. Peter. The saint toured

the soul around Heaven. Both of them walked side by side inside a

large workroom filled with angels.

St. Peter stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the

Receiving Section. Here, all the petitions to God said in prayer are

received". The soul looked at the section, and it was terribly busy

with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper

sheets from all the people of the world.

They walked again until they reached the 2nd section, and St. Peter

told the soul, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the

graces and blessings the people asked for are packed and delivered to

the persons who asked for them down on earth."

The soul saw how busy it was. There were so many angels working in

that room, since so many blessing were being packed and delivered to

Earth.

Finally at the farthest corner of the room, the soul stopped at the

last section. To the surprise of the soul, only one angel stayed there

idly, doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledging

Section," St. Peter told the soul. "How is it that, there is no work

here?" "That's the sad thing," St. Peter answered. "After the people

received the blessings they asked for, very few send their

acknowledgments". "How does one acknowledge God's blessing?" "Simple,"

St. Peter answered. "Just say, "'Thank you, Lord'."

Thank you Lord, for giving me the chance to share this message with

others and also, for giving me so many wonderful people to share this

with. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a

roof overhead and a place to sleep , you are richer than 75% of this

world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a

dish someplace , you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness . . you are

more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of

imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation you are

ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest,

torture, or death , you are more blessed than three billion people in

the world.

If your parents are still alive and still married , you are very

rare,.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly

thankful , you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the

shoulder

, you are blessed because you can offer healing touch.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in

that, someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more

blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at

all.

Have a good day, count your blessings, and pass this along to remind

everyone else how blessed we all are.

I love pockets. When clothes shopping, I think twice about purchasing
pants that have no pockets. I like aprons with pockets. And terry
cloth bathrobes that have roomy pockets. They are handy for everything
from paper towels to hamsters.

When one of our sons was young, he had a miniature hamster. He would
carry him around in his shirt pocket and it was the cutest thing to
see Butterball's tiny nose and twitching whiskers peeking out the top.

Sometimes I go with our grandkids on treasure hunt walks. All the
interesting and cool things we find, like rocks or snail shells, go
into - yup, our pockets.

The Bible says that we are carried around in the palm of God's hand.
I like to think we're in His pocket, the one that's real close to His
heart.

Pockets can - and do -hold priceless treasures, like you.
