By the way, there is nothing such as white supremacy unless your inferior mentality is playing serious tricks on you. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Deserves Support Of Igbos – Onu by Duru1(m): 10:20pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
same2u: national leader of All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has said President Muhammadu Buhari deserves the support of all Nigerians, especially the Igbo race, in other to succeed.
Onu, who is a former governor of the old Abia State, said this while receiving in audience a five-man interim planning committee of the World Igbo Conference in his residence in Abuja.
According to him, the Ndigbo owed it a duty to fully support Buhari because they stand to benefit more from the new Nigeria which the Buhari-led APC administration is building.
He noted that because the Igbos lived everywhere within the country, the benefits accruable to them individually and collectively in a Nigeria which works, is incalculable.
Onu expressed confidence that the Buhari-led administration would work for all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, political or religious inclination.
While calling on the Ndigbo to embrace the APC and support the President, Onu recalled that the Igbos in the 19 northern states demonstrated their commitment towards building this new thinking by voting massively for the President and the APC during the last general elections.
Onu said, “Ohaneze must be commended for what it’s doing as regards the welfare of Igbos throughout the country and beyond. We have Igbos everywhere; there is no town in Nigeria where there are no Igbos. In Nigeria and across the world, there is no place where we don’t have Igbo resident.
“We, as Igbos, are the only major ethnic group that is not indigenous to any other country in the world. So, you look at ethnic groups that are indigenous in Nigeria, what that means is that outside Nigeria, there is no other country for the Igbos. For other major ethnic groups, this is not the case.”The leader of the delegation and chairman of the committee, Chief Ben Aranusi, said for a long time the Ndigbo seemed not to know their place in Nigeria hence the need to sit down and talk. http://www.punchng.com/news/buhari-deserves-support-of-igbos-onu/ The above is arrant nonsense especially the bolded. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria!!! Looking Beyond And Looking Back To The Days Of The Civil War by Duru1(m): 5:50pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
lorbar42: It has always been something of importance to look back to the Nigeria-Biafra war when the words "No victor No vanquish" comes to my hearing. Though, majority were yet unborn, while some were still young in the days of the profusely offensive war that kicked off on the 6th of July,1967. But thanks to history that has kept the record for us and even the generation unborn. meanwhile, some people describe the action of the Nigeria government and Nigeria army as a genocide on the then defunct Biafra side by imposing blockade on the coastal oil facilities exposing the Biafra side to severe famine. The civil war has been recorded to have a military casualties and military losses of 35000 and 75000 respectively. where the civilian casualties recorded about 2-3million lives. What a huge figure!!! The agitation of Biafra by igbos in the east and some minor tribes in the south south was for them to have a place they can be heard, a place where their view can be considered, a place where they will have a sense of belongings, a place where they will not feel marginalized. But checking what resulted to the Biafra agitation, one will be quick to ascertain that it was the political motives that brought about the call and yearn for a new nation. At first, I believe it was the yorubas that should complain about a foul when the then NPC in the north formed an alliance with the then National Council of Nigeria and Cameroon party in the east. while the action group in the west, made up of the Yoruba people happily played the opposition role. There is always a saying that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This I believe was the thought of some people in the north who felt that the first coup d'état led by major Kaduna Nzeogwu that cost sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and sir Ahmadu Bello their lives, had only benefitted the Igbo's because it was perceived that most of the coup plotter were Igbo. An event that ought to b checked through proper investigations and bringing the perpetrators to law was put aside under the watch of general Aguiyi Ironsi who eventually became the head of state on Jan 16, 1966 a day after the failed plot. The north in response to what they see as an "Igbo conspiracy"replied and led to the progroms in the north which resulted to the killings of thousands of igbos while millions of igbos fled to the east. It was not only the east that was ready for secession then but there were secession threats from the western region and the northern region. A country that some people have fought for with their strength, sweat, blood, time and power to gain independence from the British colonialist was fast becoming a battle ground occupying spectators to watch as every event unfold through the actions of some of our selfish, uncommitted and callous politicians. Every tribes suffered from the civil war; the igbos, the hausas and the yorubas with other minor tribes all have the story to tell about the civil war. The hatred grew among tribes but the truth of the matter is that we are all dependent on one another which has make this country unique. A country made up of different tribes and ethnic s, a country made up of over 1000 languages coming together as a body and our strength as a nation lies in our diversity. the teeth will bite the tongue, for that the tongue can't disown the teeth. From both sides of the war we should salute all the generals and all the gallant men that fought a fight of courage including the fallen heroes. It is hightime we put the pain of civil war behind our sentiments and give room for the injuries it brought along be healed up. it is high time we looked forward and think about a solutions that will bring Nigeria out of the crises and challenges the country is currently subjected to. Nigeria shall be great again if we work together in one accord. The government has its role to play and deliver its promises to the people. you have your part to play, I have my part to play.Let's join hand and build a better Nigeria and a country that the coming generation will be proud of. God bless every tribes. God bless Nigeria. The above is arrant nonsense that dripped from ill-educated mind. Sometimes it is good to remain silent. |

Hesterine Reus' resume is quite impressive, but a former Falcons player should be one of her assistants. At 53, she wouldn't be in the job for more than 10 years or thereabout.

Isreal is a terrorist state(the bombing of [b]USS Liberty, Lavon affair, MOSSAD killing people using fake passport and so on) like Iran, Saudi Arabia and so on, so I get worked out when I see gullible people believing there's anything God about these people. Isreal is running the biggest open air prison in Gaza strips and another concentration camp in Negev desert. Today isreal is supporting ISIS with logistics. Today, the Jews are in fore front for introducing gay marriage and destruction of conservative christian family in US and elsewhere. Today the Jews are winning against Christmas & Christians in US replacing happy xmas with happy Hanukkah Menorah. wirinet: I am surprised you do not know that the Jewish God is different from the Christian God. The main difference being that while the Christian God is 3 God in 1 or 1 in 3, with Yahweh (Jehovah), Jesus(his son) and Holy spirit co-existing, the Jewish God is one God, who has no son. Also while the Christian Gods is God of all races, the Jewish God is God only to the Jews. The Christian God has a heaven and Hell where he sents saints and sinners, while the Jewish God makes no such provision as Jews do not believe in hell or heaven. There are lots of differences between the two Gods. You know all these about God for fact yet you have not change the luck of the jungle called Nigeria. I must tell you that where there is a belief, there is also element of doubt. All you have enumerated are narratives that had no iota of prove. |

oladele97: With the recent movement for emancipation of Biafra nation by many Igbos (establishment of radio Biafra, online reaction and the call of the recognition of republic of Biafra by UN.) I took my time to go through the map and realize the Igbo and the entire Biafra nation are not sagacious enough in the demand for Biafra nation or what they refer to as true federalism. Despite the repudiation of some included zone such as EFFIK & IBIBIO, the igbo has refuse to dispel them from the plan. I met a guy just of recent whose name is Emeka, from kogi state but claimed to be IGALA and also speak igbo fluently. How come you bear Emeka and not an igbo? I asked He reply by saying my village is a stone throw from Nsuka but is in kogi state. This perhaps force me to go through Nigeria map meticulous and make some other research and I realize Igbo do not only have their kit and kin in kogi state but as well as Benue state. If Igbo could remember to plan to plan Akwa Ibom, C/river etc in their Biafra dream, why have they forgotten their own brothers in the north central. My opinion tells me that the south-easterners are more interested in the wealth of the ijaw and Ibibio Let me use this opportunity to remind you that whenever the Yoruba counterpart having a regional meeting, there kit and kin in kogi, edo and delta are always included Dele Aliu From the above crap, it is safe to say you know nothing about nation building. Initially Biafra was a matter of eastern region but actual Biafra would have included Ndiigbo across the River Niger as well as those in today's Benue and Kogi States. British government knew the reason it fought so hard to stop Biafra. |
