Check the second picture Staff of the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) in Benin City are calling for a reversal of the sale and transfer of operatorship of Oil Mining Licence (OML) 42 from a private company known as Neconde.
The workers, who took a peaceful protest round the company office along Sapele Road in Benin City the Edo State capital, in a statement made available to Channels Television alleged that the process of sale and transfer of the licence was shrouded in secrecy and did not follow due process.
The statement, signed by the Chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), NPDC branch, also noted that all attempts to get the management to revisit the transfer process proved abortive. http://www.channelstv.com/2015/05/18/npdc-workers-protest-transfer-of-oml-42-in-benin/#.VVtB-U1qw24.facebook

As someone with some level of knowledge on how things work in NNPC, I agree with the former CBN governor that a substantial part of the $18bn was diverted. That explains why the NNPC has been unable to show proof of contracts awarded for pipelines repair. The NNPC can show (or forge)contract award papers but they cannot forge the process (public invitation to bid, the bids and bid evaluation and so on) because it is in the past. |

The gold painted guy is seating on something. The seat is welded to the base through a rod that runs through his trousers. I was intrigued when I first saw something similar in Trafalgar square until I figured it out. Similar logic used by the guy in the video only that the support is through his arm to the standard. You'd notice that they never move the arm or leg the support passes through. |

kastonkastrol: yeah something is kinda fishy somewhere. You can't just be rescuing people that where never declared missing in the first place. Nigerians and the rest of the world only know about the missing chibok girls. I still can't come to terms with the latest people the NA have been rescuing all of a sudden. They say sambisa forest is almost the size of Belgium if is not even bigger, these people been rescued might probably be inhabitants of the sambisa or they might not even be nigerians in the first place..
I don't trust this current government one bit, there are many things they are hiding from nigerians and the world at large. May29 should come fast Jare. My attention was first drawn to the abduction of girls in the North East around February last year when some girls were abducted. Many didn't hear about it because the girls had no voice to cry out for them. A week later, some girls were abducted again. I was made aware of these abductions through facebook when a friend of my who works with an NGO in the North posted it on her wall, calling for help. A few months later, the Chibok girls were abducted and the circumstances of their abduction was what drew attention to the lingering problem. I find it hard to comprehend why some people will emphatically say there was no abduction because I happened to find out about previous abductions before the big one. |

Sand alright but gold nugget containing soil taken to china to be processed. For anyone to ship sand containers, the gold content of that sand must be astronomical. Now you wonder why there is all the fighting in Plateau state. The elite know what is in the land they send innocent people to go and die for.
So much work for the incoming government. Really?I thought they proess it in country. My cousin recently told me there is a mining community in Niger State (Near Bida) where local miners are made to mine bags of "sand" (suspected to be gold rich) and the Chinese pay them by the bag. I was furious that not only are the workers underpaid, it is likely that no tax is paid by these people and our environment is being devastated. I wonder when our leaders will have sense. |

We have a C-in-C who has blamed virtually everybody for the failure of his administration. On the issue of boko haram, why didn't he use all the state security apparatus available to him to stamp them out when all they had was a few riffles and were attacking police stations and stock pilling weapons? If as you suggest some people in the north were responsible for the insurgency because they did not like an "infidel" ruling them, why did he not arrest these people? For failing to arrest them, he deserved to be booted out of office. See lets stop playing the victim, President Jonathan, as good as his personality is, is a failed leader. You mentioned the 9 universities in the North, He promised to establish a Federal university in all the states of the federation that had no Federal University, so how does that translate to favouring the North? (Never mind that he did not fulfill that promise of Building Airports across the country). On the religious aspect, I tell you a lot of the christians in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa dislike GEJ because he abandoned them both as the President and a Christian and many of them voted against him so stop playing the religious card. I am not saying some people didn't vote along religious lines, there were people who voted for GEJ and GMB based purely on their religion, this is unfortunate. |

Even though i believe your questions are directed to the author, if you read it you'd have seen where she referred to the incident as the handiwork of some overzealous aids who were promptly called to order by Mr. Buhari. |
Politics › Alleged AIT Ban: The True Story From An AIT Staff, Lara Wise by dustydee(op): 11:48am On May 02, 2015 |
This is what Lara wise of AIT had to say about the alleged ban on AIT. I want to, this morning appeal to all Nigerians, friends on Facebook, pro GMB, pro GEJ, anti GMB, anti GEJ, but lovers of this our beautiful country called Nigeria, to 'take it easy' like we normally say here. Take it easy, people. I have always said that the social media is a crazy place where irresponsible journalism is the norm. You don't believe me? Just start a rumour on your wall and see how many people will share and even claim they were physically present when your rumour happened. BUHARI BARS /BARNS AIT... Thousands of you have shared this message. Let me ask you some questions. Where was AIT barred from? What was the event? What is the name of the crew that went to cover the assignment? When and where did this happen? I work in AIT so I'm privy to what some people are not but let me say this: this same AIT sent me to Daura to shoot a documentary on the president-elect. That is professionalism. This same AIT foot the bill for this expensive project and gave me what I needed for this assignment. This same AIT is working to see that the documentary meets international and professional standards and is already creating airtime for it. While in Katsina state, some overzealous aides, friends and sympathisers of the president-elect reacted to my presence in their state. The emirate council? Oh! You guys don't want to know how 'God delivered Daniel from the lion's den', literally. At a point, I had to hide my official car and moved around in an unbranded vehicle for security reasons, okay? But this same Buhari was informed that "AIT was on their soil" but his informants got the shock of their lives when he told them to allow us do our professional job. He told them to allow us access to whatever and whoever we needed to interview. At his command, we met everybody and spoke to them. In his family house, AIT was offered drinks but AIT turned down food because AIT was working. AIT took pictures with his sister, nephews and nieces. I have gone ahead to tell these two stories to show that we are fighting over nothing!!!! Absolutely nothing!!!! Whatever happened during the build-up to the elections were for that time and period. Those 'aggrieved' have forgiven and let go. 'Offenders' are doing the right thing now because the era of campaigns and lies are over! After reading these stories, I do not expect anybody to be aggrieved anymore because the principal players have probably forgotten all about what happened. We have bigger problems on our hands, people. Bigger problems. Our Chibok girls are still missing, our refineries, hospitals, rail systems, schools, our pensioners, infant and maternal mortality rates, power, security, etc. Tell me, is it possible to drive a car on a high speed and be looking back at the same time? A few seconds on even the rear view mirror is recipe for disaster. Friends, let's keep our gaze on our mission. Nigeria is bigger than any one of us. God bless our dear country! Maxwell Chinedu Godwin. How much did APC pay me? Wao! You see, young man, you are one of those so called pastors who are our problems not only in the body of Christ, but in Nigeria. This post of mine should have come from people like you who should know better that it's time to build the broken walls of our country, that it's time to heal and move on. But false prophets like you who have desecrated the altar of the most High and whose mouths are bigger than their spiritual eyes got us to where we are today. How much did the devil pay you to do his bidding, Maxwell? How much? You haters of truth and righteousness. Listen, I stand alone and represent no one. Whatever I do or say or write is from my personal convictions as a Christian and as someone whose wealth is drawn from the currencies of truth, righteousness and justice. Some of us cannot be bought with money. Do you understand? Your comment, unfortunately, is just a reflection of who you truly are, for the Holy book says "to him that is pure, all things are pure". #Next time, sanctify your eyes, mind, and fingers before spilling bile on my wall. Good morning! Source: https://www.facebook.com/lara.owoeyewise/posts/10205552179396293?fref=nf&pnref=story
