This is were i expected APC would have learnt their lessons. The results from SE and SS "never done" it is still cooking. They need to be sure about the margin required for victory before announcing theirs. Their job has just been made easier by the abandonment of the card readers.
jomoh: This Video Link of some Hausa youths thumb printing large number of Ballot papers for PDP was sent to me on Bbm today thought I should share it.
This is serious. PDP are really damaging out electoral process.
Where is the ballot paper? All I can see is a woman seated in a vehicle. She could well be an ordinary citizen or falsely arrested. If you could take her picture, I am sure you could have also taken a picture of the ballot papers, abi?
OracleMxNelson: It wasn't Michelle Obama that began the #bringbackourgirls campaign... It was a Nigerian... Now how do you expect me to read the rest of your post.
PassingShot: She added that: “It is election period and people cannot stop us from doing our job. We are not politicians, we will not be dragged into political issues.”
Is she serious? I thought she was the PDP spokesperson?
pekeyim: "Prof. Osinbajo mentioned they'll generate 40,000 MW of electricity in 4 years, " something that's impossible, they had to ask him 3 times to be sure.
What is impossible about that? PDP has so conditioned the minds of some people such that they think we can't get a better deal from our leaders. All it will require is funds. Germany generated 4000MW of electricity from solar energy alone in a year. Please not that it was started and completed in a year. What we need is a similar type of approach (quick wins)with the projects spread across the country. These will be complemented by large power plants which will generate significantly higher power and take longer to construct.
onatisi: you are wrong. I know of a lady that told the vo she was earning 100k and yet was given a visa . So the applicant monthly salary must be equal or above the total amount the applicant wants to spend on the journey Hell no. That is why statement of accounts are usually asked for to know how much the applicant has in his or her account. So u must be earning 500k to be granted a visa? Visa in nigeria is 40 to 50% based on luck and vo discretion. The vo didn't even ask for the bank statement to know how much the applicant is worth ,may he even has millions there.
I agree that it is discretionary but these things also pay a part. A former colleague of mine was denied because according to the VO he doesn't earn enough money. He work for one of the highest paying government agencies. His pay then was around 200k.
Marchman: I saw this video on this website and watched. Shocked by allegations against Osinbajo, These guys are wicked. May God continue to expose them.
I just finished watching the video and it is an indictment on the Nigerian government and the Kano state government and not the law firm. The sponsors just succeeded in tarnishing the image of the PDP led government which spearheaded the prosecution of this case. What was the FG doing when the settlement was being negotiated? COuld the law firm negotiate without the agreement of the FG and Kano state government?
Clerverly: Anyone still in doubt that jonathan/PDP and their cronies are jittery over the possible outcome of Saturday election? Just stay tuned to NTA and Ait, they have been airing a new TV commercial Titled BITTER TRUTH starring Saint Obi, who threatens the peace of Nigeria, if goodluck jonathan was not re-elected.
Among the threats: 1. Resumption of militancy in the Niger Delta 2. Massob taking over Igbo Land 3. Cessation of Crude Oil Production from Niger Delta
and other useless, self defeating threats.
My question is, why this desperation by Jonathan?
I saw it on channels yesterday and I swore the face looked familiar. Thanks for the name (Saint Obi). Nigerians are using their mouths to destroy the country for peanuts. May God help us.
Flets: No its not .... Rather its tribalism. If GEJ were to be a northerner, the Sai Buhari crew would have touted his achievements to be better than Obama's.
But since he is a minority.... He has to go!!
No, it's the other way round. More Northerners voted for GEJ in 2011 than southerners did for Buhari. And majority of them did because of ethnic and in some cases religious sentiments and not on competence. The fact that more Southerners are willing to vote for Buhari this weekend shows how disappointed they are with the incumbent.
Flets: How do you explain to a Niger Deltan that despite GEJ's achievements in almost all sectors, roads, bridges, railways, agriculture, automobile, alamajiri schools, new universities, fertilizer and ghost worker scam elimination, freedom of press, FOI, free and fair elections, power sector. .........etc, he is still booted out.
dustydee: What is wrong with Nairaland these days? It seems the moderators don't read the stories before rushing it to the front page. A similar thing happened yesterday with the dollar-naira parity lie. Seun, you have you up your game. If you choose to pass off a PDP advert as PDP advert, fine but don't attribute it to the guardian newspaper.

marcus19933: As the 2015 General elections approaches different media houses has continue to thrill us with the various statistics on how the elections will go..... Guardian Newpaper dropped this today.. Please comment without insults.. THANKS
Why are you passing off PDP's paid advert as Guardians' research? Propagating falsehood won't get us anywhere.
LogicPower: 1. It is quite pathetic how intellectually lazy people have become these days, making it so easy for unscrupulous, dishonest, unprofessional and compromised 'journalists' to deceive so many people, for so long, without the gullible lot realizing it.
2. Otherwise, how come that this clear misrepresentation of GMB's remark would reach so many pages of comments on NL yet nobody was enable to figure out that even by the original story on Vanguard, there is NO WHERE the people's general mentions that he would 'make naira equal in value to dollar'!.
3. You do not need any professional journalistic training to know that for this news story to have been given the headline it was given, the body of the story would reasonably be expected to have a direct quote of GMB explaining in his own words this issue of utmost policy significance.
4. Although this would not matter much for those who have decided either way, such a direct quote would allow enlightened, unbiased minds to join the debate and judge him fairly; more importantly, it would portray the NAN reporter and the Vanguard online editor as objective and fair journalists.
5. If there is no direct quote of GMB saying he would 'make naira equal in value to dollar' in the entire original story, then how come this conjecture was made the headline of the news story?
6. And there is only one direct quote of GMB in there whole story (“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’), why wasn't the headline of the story based on that quoted remark?
7. Well, the answer to the two questions above is clear: the dishonest reporter of NAN (one of the FG's mouthpieces) or the corrupt and compromised Vanguard's online 'editor' knew exactly what he/she wanted to achieve, which is, to serve his/her PDP paymasters by playing along their campaign strategy of damaging the image and reputation of GMB as badly as they can.
8. But it is quite heart-warming to see that in spite of all the billion-dollar campaigns of calumny against Buhari, the popularity of the people's general is only rising all over the country.
9. Even in the SE/SS/MB, the political terrain has completely changed from 2011 in favour of the amiable general, as a result of which he is now SURELY going to get a far BIGGER SHARE of the SE/SS/BM votes on Saturday, while GEJ's share of the NW/NE/SW votes is going to SHRINK drastically from what it was in 2011.
10. Simply compare GMB's highly successful rally in Imo yesterday, and the reception he got naturally from the ordinary people on the street, with the situation in 2011, when his chances in the SE were so slim, his campaign resources so meagre, and the structure of his party (CPC) so scantily present that he could not even manage to campaign at all in the region.
Good one. I am impressed. There are people who still read and strive to get facts before jumping to conclusion.
OLADD: You don't seem to get it. We are taiking about a 9-year old kid been used to abuse an elder cum sitting president. Don't you know its spiritual and natural implications?
I have not read the contents of her speech to know if she was abusive but I have heard FFK, Mrs Jonathan and other PDP supporters use abusive language. How is that different if indeed she was abusive?
