geekseventplace:I understand where you are coming from since you are providing accommodation and feeding. But will the person be able to cook and eat what they like and as much as they like - as they would if they are paying for thier own food? Will they be able to use the accommodation as they would do in a shared accommodation? Is there a guarantee that once the shift is over, the person is not obliged to lift a finger to help or assist you? Will you pay their pension and NI? How many days holiday are they entitled to? Any sick pay? My opinion: It is a very risky venture. If you find the wrong person, they can make false allegations against you to get a payout and the law will likely side with them because I suspect you will not tick all the legal boxes required to properly execute this. It may be better to get a family member over to help. 14 Likes |

Chreze:The tax situation is why I try to avoid using it but I still end up using it. If they have your KYC and can trace transactions on the spot account to your, there's nothing that stops them from tracing p2p transactions on the platform to you. |

Newbie123:I doubt you will "loose" that much. The rate usually isn't alway far off from the p2p if you are converting large sums (Large enough for you to lose 2k). You can also set sell limit for a higher price and hope it fills.. 3 Likes |

kode12:Sure, no wahala. I only responded because someone said it was impossible. Now while it is possible, it is highly unlikely that they can save that amount. |

kode12:I went and re-read his/her qustion again, there was only a mention of savings. We were not given any information on their personal circumstance. What if they have everything sorted? The single biggest expense is accomodation. What if that's settled? I had my accommodation settle for the duration of my course so did not have to worry about that. The only utility I paid was electricity which was just over £50 a month. It was a student accommodation so no council tax, no broadband subscription etc. 2 Likes |

mex551:I am always careful when using the word "impossible", especially when I am not aware of the full facts. I will give you an example. My spouse and I came for our masters at the same time. Neither of us workd for an hour during our study and yet ALL our bills were paid. Now I am sure you are screaming "IMPOSSIBLE". 3 Likes |

sugarkemi:hi, Short answer is : It is possible. Your dependent will have to get a very good high paying job while you also work to support the family. For example, if your spouse gets a job paying ~ £55k, their take home will be around £3080. You can choose to save all of it while surviving on your 20hr a week job. On your followup question on earnings after school. Again, it is very possible but both of you need good paying jobs. Once a child is involved, it becomes harder. According to the CPAG, the cost of raising a child (excluding housing, childcare and council tax) from birth to 18 is now: £160,692 for a couple family. £193,801 for a single parent/guardian. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

ukay2:The senate never said that and they have no power to say that. They only "appealed" to the CBN to extend the deadline. If the CBN refuses, there is very little the senate can do. |

jum33:I recently saw High Impact academy. I have not tried them but you can have a look. There's also CYI consulting and other bootcamps based in Nigeria. I doubt any of them will give you all that you have rquested but should be a good starting point. I went through CYI and got decent training but struggled with the job search aspect as I did not have a "real life" project I could speak to convincingly during my interview. In the end, you have a very big part to play and the key is being able to speak the language and ability to relate the skills to your experience. |

Nanidiiii: These questions are best answered by reading the requirements. The instructions are clear but if there is anything in particular you are not clear about ask. Requirements change often and some be due to your peculiar circumstance. Don't over think things, the UK visa process is easy. 3 Likes |

Nanidiiii: I will say if she has all the requirements, she has nothing to fear. The COS is still valid and the job is still there so don't over think it. |
