ekene17: WORRIED by the problem of abandoned certificates, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has said it will deploy an Electronic Certificate Management System to facilitate the issuance of certificates to candidates.
The council’s Head, Public Affairs, Mr Damianus Ojijeogu disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.
According to him, the online system will enable the council to print certificates of candidates only on request.
“With this in place, it will assist the council in the decongesting backlog of certificates lying fallow for several years with very few owners coming up to collect them.

Oogway: the best way to learn kiddo is to accept what you dont know only then will u get wiser. in medical practice "chemotherapy" refers to the use of mostly antimetabolites or cytotoxic drugs in the treatment of cancer or the use of antimicrobial agents. none of this is used to treat insomnia which is a sleeping disorder, there's no clearcut criteria for diagnosing insomnia so its not clearly a medical pathology... i could go on and on but ull get to understand these things better as u progress in your medical education LOL! |

Oogway: chemotherapy isnt used to threat insomnia. i dont do online prescribing but for academic purpose 3 classes of drugs can be use benzodiazepines barbiturates and zee drugs.
also all 1st generation antihistamines are sedatives since histamine is needed for alertness and it inhibits that eg diphenhydramine (one of the drugs found in coughlin thats why the syrup makes u dizzy) some antiepilepsy drugs are sedatives too. most sedatives are prescription drugs since they cause dependence so u need an M.D prescription to get 1 Are drugs not chemicals? Is it not a chemotherapic procedure? |

I heard that Unical has a course on dentistry. Please how do I begin? Dental technology, or dental assistance, etc. Which ones are obtainable in Nigerian schools? Or are there practicing hospitals that I should best go through.
Please I need guidelines from good people of this forum on how to go about this? Thanks Are you wanting DENTAL TECH or DENTISTRY and DENTAL SURGERY? The former can be found in FUTO and DENTAL SCHOOL at ENUGU. While the later is MEDICINE . BY THE WAY, DO YOU HAVE BIOLOGY CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS IN YOUR O'LEVEL? |

Dedekc: Senior co Please can one survive medical skul without knowing how to draw? CAPITAL YES! But it would be a plus, especially in anatomy courses. FOR EXAMPLE, WRITE ON THE GROSS ANATOMY OF THE ANTERIOR MEDIASTINUM Drawing is the first thing you put down before introduction. It wont make you fail as long as you can draw something that looks like it, noting the importanf aspect. For me drawing is not my problem, I could clone what FRANK NETTER drew in his ATLAS, and that makes Anatomy much easier for me to remember as I often try to draw then before exams. |

PARAMETERS GIVEN
a= 25m/s2
t=30s
u=0m/s2
S=?
.
1) Last one second, i.e 30th second
Using the third equation of motion
S=Ut+1/2at^2
S=0*30+1/2*25*30^2
=11250m
.
2) Seventeenth second.
Using same formular you could get around 612.5m
.
This is subject to correction. Not 100% sure though |

Eben331: Doctors and Medical Students, Which Nigerian university can one study mbbs in terms of school fees, easy admission, standard of teaching and learning facilities, good medical school, exposure to the use of modern and standard medical equipment, good teaching hospital, more practical-oriented rather than theory-based and recognition? Please give the reasons why you choose (a) particular university(ies). Help a troubled soul. Thanks in advance and God bless. I'd advice you forget all of this criteria if you must study in Nigeria. Being good depends largely on your self development not school development. As long the school is accredited, its good for you. |

Biafrareform: Summary, my cgp is currently on 3.2 that's second class lower minus my final year results.
Do u know how I can work it out to shoot it to 2.1. Thought you are done with final year exams? |
Education › Re: How Do I Shoot My CGPA To 2.1 by Dvd4: 8:07am On Oct 09, 2018 |
Biafrareform: Good morning Nairalander.
I am an undergraduate student in Uniport. In fact I am done with my final papers and defended my project lately. I will omit my department for security reason.
I calculated my year 1 to 3 cgp and found out that I was at 3.2 that's a second class lower.
Made 2 Bs and 3 Cs in my year 4 first semester result. This second semester result hasn't been released. I did some permutations and with Bs throughout I will make the 2.1
Well, I found out lately that those who merited As were actually the highest bidder. I couldn't hold my tears when I saw the spread sheet of my course mate who come to school only when we are writing exam on 2.1. Whereas most of my results were not actually a reflection of how hard I studied. There was an incidence of a lecturer Giving me an F while I got a B. He admitted his mistake but couldn't change it. After rewriting that course, I got a C. Imagine
I tried meeting some of the lecturers so they could help give me an A and they told me openly that I could have started this move on time like some of my colleagues. Like WTF.
Please, do you have any suggestion like an internal stuff that can help me out in meeting the 2.1 target should those lecturers fail to give me A. Thanks Your story is not all that comprehensive to me |

Wrong ascertion.
. They dont spend years in school than the following; MED SURG/DENTISTRY/OPTOMETRY/PHYSIOTHERAPY ETC . Also they dont work close to highest in High school. Ever wonder why people run from sciences? Almost everything get practical despite the voluminous complexity in the scheme of work. A law aspirant is equivalent to a Mass Comm student and other ARTS student in high school. . C'mon professional what? Is that still a yardstick in Nigeria? They are several professional courses, but that does not guarantee wellness. . LAW IS ALSO NOT THAT LUCRATIVE. ITS A FIGHT IF THE FITTEST.
. . . I didnt see any fact here, you are obviously not related to LAW |

I finished my first degree 2010 wrote jamb again in 2011 but could not gain admission because of low scores. Wrote jamb again in 2013 with good scores but behold there was serious crisis in Mali which I was nominated for peace keeping operation and as a military officer I cant say no. Celebration at airport on the day I was told and brieft that we are flying back home to Nigeria and we shall land at Abuja air port but the story changed as we landed at Maiduguri air port. Battle with boko haram started immediately but yet with passion and love for medicine I sneaked at war front wrote 2016 jamb and today am on 6years study leave. If medicine is what you want be crazy about it. I so love this especially the last line, really inspiring |
