BY THE WAY, THIS IS HOW I DO MINE; I'd enter the class again, ask same question, then retort; "Oh my gosh! Did I told you that? Oh no! I'm sorry please (laughs), this is it...." Then I make sure that I explain deeply. This would make them feel I knew it already, even at the time of mistake. |

malisababy: I feel bad right now, a student asked a question in class and I answered thinking that was the right answer at the time but discovered after the class that it was wrong...how do you rectify this as a teacher... Its natural, go back, apologise and tell them the correct one, make show you are extreemely knowledged on the actual. it makes them see u as a serious teacher who does his/her home work. |

Funsojim1: Do u think educating a girl child is a waste of time?. For me sometimes I believe it is a waste of time sometimes it is the right thing. Why I believe it is a waste of time is because; most times after a girl child finishes her education they end up opening a shop (Provision,make-up etc). So I ask myself what is the essence of sending a girl child to school instead of letting learn Hand work (entrepreneurship program). Please it's my opinion feel free to drop yours. Sorry, but I feel this thread is a waste of time. |

horpeyemmi66: Long 'tory o my Brother... Largely incessant strikes and a slow calender
2016, Strike 1: 100L(Free Mote, circa 6 weeks); ASUU (1 week) Warning Strike... Mote happens to be a certain law finalist who got into trouble with the UI Student Disciplinary Committee. UI_SU protested on his behalf. The last I heard, Mote still faced the panel . I don't even know what that dude looked like.
2017, Strike 2: 200L, ASUU strike(Circa 1 month)
2018-2019, Strike 3: 300L, College of Medicine Students Strike, protest of hike in fees; ASUU strike(Circa 3 months)
So you see my brother... What University are you studying at by the way? You don 4get me? David na, UNIZIK, remember? You stopped chatting on FB. |

horpeyemmi66: Baba, I'd advise you study your Medicine here in Nigeria. In most instances after studies abroad you'd be coming home to practice and since you have a foreign degree, you'd have to write the Nigerian Medical and Dental Licensing Exam.
This is an exam which only a few foreign trained physicians pass(and I believe it was intentionally made tougher)... Some have had to bribe their way through (Nigerian Factor).
Just my candid thought.
What University are you studying at? , I'm a 300L Physiology Student of the COM_University of Ibadan. Baba, I think say u suppose dey finals na. We got in 2geda, wetin come happen? |
Education › Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Dvd4: 6:17pm On Mar 03, 2019 |
harrychuksx: Sure... one of the major requirements to getting medicine in most Nigeria Universities via DE is an NYSC discharged certificate and having a second class upper will be an added advantage.
about studying medicine abroad, I think you can get a better info online or the "seniors" here can help.
Congrats on your finals! Not absolutely true, some schools do not request for NYSC discharge cert. E.g UNIZIK. Some folks who get in 200L via D.E are currently "ghost-serving". |
