koonbey: is it true one has to have a domixilliary account to get the VISA GOLD Card?

No sir. You don't have to hav a Dom. Acct. I don't have one myself.

All you need is a valid I'd card and a passport photograph, maybe ur recent utility Bill too if you are not already a customer but I suggest you should go for the Naira Version. Its the same requirements.

Yes, visa gold is a dollar denominated card bt it is first bank best recommended card for online payments. some sites accept only credit cards n this card is also accepted there. bliv mi- the frontline officer dt recommended d visa gold card knows whats hes saying.

yeah, I agree with you that Visa Gold is a premium rated card but Naira Visa Prepaid is its Naira Version. It is cheaper to get and you dont have to go through the stress of buying dollars to pay into it when u want to do transactions unlike Visa Gold.

I have both cards. I stopped using my Visa Gold when I discovered that Visa Prepaid offers me better rates.

koonbey: oga mi,I was at the First Bank and they said I can get either a mastercard or visacard from them, with the VISA being of different types...was told i need VISA GOLD,is that the type you use?

U see what I mean when I commented earlier on.

Many of d front desk staff of these banks don't have good product knowledge. It is true that there is a card called Visa Gold but that is not d one I use. That Visa Gold is denominated in USD but d other Visa card is called Visa Naira Prepaid Card. I promised to help those in Lagos get it sweatlessly because that is a major weight in d scorecard of their marketers and I know quite a number of them in Lagos. They may even be the ones to bring the form to you and notify you when the card is ready. (It takes around 5 working days to get d card). Intetested pple can reach me via vicomsms@gmail.com. If you walk to d CSO, u may end up wt d same story like my friend quoted above.

toluxa1: It's time I begin to consider other alternative payment apart from UBA Africard. Charges are incredible. Today's exchange rate was N168/$ with an extra N6638 as transaction charges that's an average of N173/$. This is totally outrages. Any much better alternative VISA card?

I normally use FirstBank Naira Visa Prepaid Card for transactions up till yesterday when I used Naira Mastercard. I was surprised to see charges as high as 166 naira per dollar whereas I would have been charged 157.5 on the Visa Card. Before the sudden rise in dollar, they used to charge me 154.5.

My FirstBank Naira Visa Prepaid Card is the thing for me. Na name MasterCard get.

Chrisvicmall: How To Use CVM service and still make use of Free Shipping On Aliexpress

If you have been using free shipping on aliexpress and the supplier send your post through China Post or HongKong Post, you have to agree with me that sometimes it takes between 2weeks to 60days before you can receive the item. The good news is that you can now receive the product without even paying CVM any service fee or shipping fee.

You might wonder how is this possible. The truth is that there is nothing like free shipping. The supplier pays China Post or Hong Kong post to send your item. This means that the seller is either collecting the money from you or from somewhere but that is not the case here, the focus here is how make use of your free shipping and still receive the order on time without paying an additional fee or afraid of losing your goods on transit.

Here is what you should do; when ordering the product, the seller will ask you to choose China Post or Hongkong Post or any other post service, ask the seller to send the product to us. The seller will pay for the shipping fee to Lagos and also our service charge. We won't charge you any money. Our job is to delivery the product to you.

Once the seller agree to ship to us,log into your account and place the order so that we can be aware of it.

Hmmmm

Sounds interesting.

But what better service can you offer me than what I am getting through the Post Officem

I want other members of the house to respond too.

Has anyone used their services here?

qoonlay: . Thanks for ur Info. About d supplementary test, Is it d one dey termed New Multinational company or a different one entirely...thanks bro

Its an entirely different one. It was held one or two weeks before Workforce called for a "New Multinational Company" test.

I also heard about it. May God help us.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 9:30pm On Aug 14, 2013
May God bless that Nairalander who posted earlier that those who missed the test yesterday were being allowed to write today.

I missed my test yesterday but upon seeing that comment, I made my way down to the test centre where I was allowed to write the test at around 4:30pm.

Although I am still wondering what Multinational company it is. Does anyone have a clue yet?

What is d situation at the test centre now for those who are on ground?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 2:37pm On Aug 13, 2013
How far?

Any news from those who were scheduled to write by 11am?

Did you start on time and what time did you finish?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 11:11am On Aug 13, 2013
Thanks for the update so far.

I am scheduled for 4pm and my prayer is that the test should be slightly delayed because I wont leave work until around that time.

So updates as regards time are highly welcome pls.

Thanks.

What batch were you and in which centre?

Toothpick01: Is anybody among d inviteez who submitted is test answer(FBN) Sucezfuly and was also scheduled 4 d New test(NMC).....Cos i did d fbn test in lagos(yaba) and am nt invited. I hope all is well.

I dont think they invited anybody who submitted successfully frm what I have gathered so far. It is clear that they invited those who did not show up for the test and those who had difficulties submitting for this upcoming test. One can safely assume that they lost the records of those who had difficulties submitting.

"Its a multinational. The client wants it kept unknown so its only two pple that knw who the client is. My lead consultant and the unit head for human resources"
He also adviced me to read my Gmat and general knowlege questions

I don't think it is FBN.

ok ooo. I hear u. So u are telling us they didnt loose our scores from the recent FBN exams?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 4:36pm On Aug 04, 2013
I have checked my invite online. I am slated to write in UNILAG on Thursday by 4pm.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 3:00pm On Aug 04, 2013
bizguru000: Here's my own analysis... From what i have found out

1.Each and every one of us that got this: nvitation, applied for first bank.

2.All of us that got this new invite for 'New multinational firm' did our previous Fbn test in yaba- I recall most of us had issues submitting after completing the test because of workforce' bad network setup

My conclusion- workforce lost most/all test correspondence in yaba (unilag) venue and are now trying to make ammends.

Pls feel free to undermine this hypothesis if you have also been invited for this new test and you did ur fbn test in the other venue in ikeja

Thanks

I subscribe to ur line of thought. I also wrote in UNILAG Batch 7 but I know all things work together for good....
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 2:23pm On Aug 04, 2013
sparklingdiva: @dvdami. Was in batch 6. Centre was UNILAG.

I was in Unilag too. Mine was the 26th of June and I was in Batch 7. I had difficulties submitting. Did u also have such difficulties?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 5:16pm On Aug 03, 2013
Tetegh: I'm sure they got are contacts from our FBN application 'cos that's the only workforce recruitment I've applied. Well let's see, we'll all get the details soon. All the best as we prepare

Where was ur centre for the FBN test and which batch were you?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 3:33pm On Aug 03, 2013
sparklingdiva: Yes, I wrote the last FBN test as well and had difficulties submitting even after clicking the submit button several times. Had to wait some mins. I'm certain this is in relation with the FBN test as the only relationship I've had with workforce is through FBN. I'm certain I did well in their test. By the way who has heard from FBN? I haven't.

No news from FBN yet ooo.

If I may know, which Batch were you and which centre did you write the FBN test?

I also had difficulties submitting initially...(Fingers crossed)
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation From Workforce. by dvdami(m): 11:21pm On Aug 02, 2013
Tetegh:

Ok, the puzzle continues...

Yes...it continues ooo.

I also wrote the last FBN test and I think I did well (by my own estimation though)

So I don't expect to be cut off at all.

Now, among those who wrote the FBN test who got d SMS, how many pple had difficulties submitting their test initially?

I, like many others in my Batch, had difficulties wt d submission. We had to wait for like 10 minutes before submitting and that was after clicking "SUBMIT" so many times. I hope the assessment test was not lost in the process and as a way of compensation for their own mistake are now calling us for another test.

***Just thinking aloud*****

This is getting ever so interesting.

I only have two connections to Workforce which are: The last FBN GT test and Heritage Bank Test (which I was not invited to write).

I read Civil Engineering.

Hello house,

This is the SMS I got from Workforce this afternoon:

"You are invited for an aptitude test in consideration for the Management Trainee Programme of a new multinational firm on the 8/9th Aug in Lagos. Expect details"

I wonder if this is in anyway linked to the FBN Graduate Trainee Test we wrote. Did anybody else get the same message?

With all this hype about his health, it would be very surprising if Mandiba ends up in hell.

I hope he is a believer already. If not, let somebody please tell him about JESUS.

Nothing else matters at this time. What shall it profit a man to gain the world world's (attention) and yet lose his soul in hell?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: First Bank Graduate Trainee Recruitment From May 16-30, 2013-apply Now!!! by dvdami(m): 8:21pm On Jul 03, 2013
Workforce recruits both core and non-core staff for FBN.

As for the last test, it is recruitment for core staff.

Insourcing Limited is the subsidiary of FBN that recruits non-core staff for them. In that case, it will be Insourcing advertising positions and not FBN.
