Accra is a major factor o. Most people I know have had their file in AVO since over a year with no update. I'm in the same boat too.

Please has anyone successfully contacted Accra VO on phone? . If yes, what number and what time did you call please.

My file was sent to Accra 6months ago after Eligibility passed. Till date Accra has done nothing on my file.

I also got my GCMS directly from IRCC at less than 4 $.
I ordered on the 15th of Feb and Got it exacty a month after.
I have never ordered or used the IRCC site for that before, but seeing the low cost, i took the risk.
You'll have to use a Canadian resident though.. and they will send electronic copy to then via mail.

Great!!.
One question though.. Could you write another post on your performance improvement activities leading to being #2 and #1

Yes, all glory to the one who makes things possible. However, I am certain there are people amongst the 340 salespersons who have personal relationships with God as well.

So while we ascribe the result to God for blessing your efforts, I'll appreciate if you share those efforts as well, so we can match our faith with work.

Thank you.

Madcow:
We oftentimes have amnesia as it relates to Gods faithfulness and how he has helped even with things that seem so little and insignificant. I write this to hopefully encourage whoever reads to firstly trust God that although you may not be where exactly you want to be, trust God and he would comfort you and help you.
I had my soft landing with my family in December 2019, In the 4 week period, God blessed us with good people, quality accommodation fully furnished, and my full drivers license one-time. My family was settled so I went back to Nigeria to prepare, for my hard landing. I gave myself 3 months to prepare (work my notice period and liquidate assets in Nigeria).
God was so kind; a friend took over my apartment alongside everything I wanted to dispose off (saving me from the stress of selling items in piecemeal) paid the rent, bought my car and paid upfront and moved in with me. Then Covid-19 hit, and the airports were locked… confusion erupted! Nonetheless, God was still kind. My former place of work extended my notice to cover whenever I was able to leave the country and also my friend accommodated me in my former apartment at no cost to me.
Towards the end of June 2020, I got an evacuation flight at a miraculous price and returned on my hard-landing as we call it here. The first couple of days in self-isolation were very restful. I slept ate watched tv and continued sleeping. By the end of the 1st week I became bored and I decided to start applying for jobs. When I got my first rejection email, it hit me hard and all of a sudden confusion erupted again as I began to question my decision to leave Nigeria. The novelty of being close to my wife and kids soon faded. I tried to pray but nothing was coming out. Later that day, I came across an old friend’s testimony on his wife’s Instagram page #healo’clock. He was speaking about faith in the fire and how he turned to worshiped whenever he found himself in a dark place. There and then I began to worship, and the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance Gods promises to me that He had prepared and is bringing me into a beautiful future.
Looking for a job is a job in itself, editing one’s CV and to reflect the JD of each job advert is no easy task. In my entire career, all the jobs I have held were either through referrals or headhunting, I have never really had to apply so looking for a job was new terrain. I did not want to live on our savings so I discussed with my wife, exploring the possibility to purchase a vehicle and drive on a ride-hailing service at least until I got a Job. We prayed and agreed but the Master Planner was working in the background. Later that day, my land lady called to ask if I had a driver’s license and mentioned that she knows I would need a car to move around, advising me not to purchase a car yet until things stabilized and there is a genuine need. She handed me car keys to one of her cars for my use (this is a 2018 car, and it is 8 months and counting, I am still using the car not having to pay for insurance just fuel)
On the 10th of July 2020, I got a random email from a lady I networked with during my soft landing (She is an immigrant herself from Iran and she advised on getting a survival job that may not necessarily be in line with your career path, so one is able to earn and spend without diminishing ones savings) asking if I was still searching and if I was interested in a work from home sales opportunity. I answered yes and to cut the long story short, I got a job offer on the 24th of July to start on the 1st of August.
I had not done sales in the past; it was new terrain. I remember during the orientation training after a poor presentation I was so sad/frustrated, thinking to myself “me that was an Oga in Lagos and subject matter expert in my field now selling and imploring people to buy items I don’t even believe they need”.
I started the job and was doing enough to get by and applying for other opportunities (come and see rejection email… brekete) I developed thick skin and could not even be bothered to read the rejection email or give myself totally into applying to other opportunities. In September and October, I was on Performance Improvement Plan and if no improvement by the 3rd month (November) I would be out of work. My prayer point changed, in addition to landing the international job, I began to ask God to help me do the one that my hands found to do with all my might as Ecclesiastes told us. To cut the long tori short, In Dec 2020 I was ranked #2 out of over 340 salespeople in the Company, in Jan 2021 I was #1 and now in Feb MTD I am ranked #1 and the sales commission is going a long way. I cannot say I am special or better than others but all I can say is Na Baba GOD do am!
Today, I got a rejection email from an application I made to an international company, it pained me because I had 2 panel interviews, a full-day assessment center and final interview with the CEO. Initially, I was sad, but I refuse to have amnesia. I remember Gods promises and how He has helped and blessed me in the past and I have hope in the truth that He will bless and help me again. My story has encouraged me and I hope it will encourage someone else that although this journey not appear to be easy nonetheless God is omnipresent and he is still in the background working things out for your good.
I cannot wait to come back to tell you that God has done it!

Okay, i dont know if this is your casual way of talking but it can be better, at least with some courtesy and regard. Which one is "Let's be using our head" as per that statement is senseless?

I simply said IF your company has a Canada branch.
I also added "its not assured but possible"

My firm has a branch in Canada and I was talking from that angle as some have moved to Canda branch from here.

Please, we shouldnt be too woke to be humble when we converse, irrespective of who or what.

nymphomaniac:
how many have branch In Canada? How many be willing to help their employee get a better life in Canada. Let’s be using our head abeg. Highly unlikely!

One way is if your employer in Nigeria has a branch or HQ in Canada. Not assured but easier to apply from the inside.

What method did you use lemme check their present rate pls
I used a relative's Canadian Credit card. But she used her GTB to calculate how much in Naira I'm paying back. At the end of the day I sent N388600 for 1325CAD (I already have a valid Biometric). Again Naira had not devaluated this much then . If you're to do it now it'll be more.

@dyduds.... evidence of my transactions using the barter/flutterwave $$$ card... as you can see the screenshot was made few mins ago... i would be happy to help if you have any questions.
Thanks for sharing. At this point, anyone can do whatever works for them. I shared my honest experience just to avoid people depleting their Naira with trial and error.

Another angle is that Barter could have worked for you and not for me depending on the primary bank linked to the Virtual Card.. again I don't know. But it sure did not work for me on the 3rd of November specifically for CIC.

I don’t think there was anytime in November when 450k would have covered the dollar amount required to pay for 1410 CAD (assuming you are a single applicant).

I used Barter in November, I have friends that have used it to pay in December as well. Please don’t discourage people from having a valid option that works. We all can’t get Canadian credit cards. cheesy
You dont think? Well those whose AOR is November 4 can attest that the amount paid was 1325 CAD and NOT 1410.

I so dont know what exchange rate you're using but CAD to Naira an the day I made that transaction was approximately 300Naira.

I don't know why you sound apprehensive as though you're used to people lie to you or vice versa.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by dyduds(m): 12:58pm On Dec 22, 2020
MissMa01:
No one said using Barter will be at official rate. They work with parallel and cross charge to CAD but saying it won’t work on CIC is false.
You should actually retract your statement than mislead people .

Say things as they are rather than post false information.
Please share evidence of successful Visa application fee and right to passage payment using the Barter dollar card. If i didn't try it I wont advice about it. I also did not mention anything about rate. It is normal to lose Naira when you buy dollar and sell back immediately (as that will be the case in this situation once the card is not accepted on CIC)

Pheeeewww anyways.. it's out of concern that I am responding and providing as much clarity possible. Otherwise, I'm not gaining or loosing anything from anyone's trial and error.

You might have to share evidence of your successful payment (Visa and Right to passage) as I have shared pictures in support of my statement in few posts above.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by dyduds(m): 12:43pm On Dec 22, 2020
Issokay, you might be right and I might be wrong. The person you're advising can go ahead and try but should please come back and tell us how it went.
I dont say what I dont know. So below are receipts of my experience with pictures.
I use Barter USD card, and as you can see in image 1, the Naira equivalent of withdrawal after the card didn't work is short of the amount I transferred into my Dollar card. THIS IS WHAT I MEANT BY LOSE MONEY..
You will see In Image 2 , from the app "this card only works on select sites" Image 3 shows the list of sites the Barter dollar card supports.

I wont argue that I didn't work for you, but I also followed someone's advice here in November (probably you, who knows) and it landed in futility.

Eventually , I had to use a Canadian credit card to make payment.
mobenjackson:
What sort of terrible advice is this?? I used barter/flutterwave for my payment. I also helped 2 persons in paying their fee just over the weekend...They have a card that carters for such payment... Can we be super sure of info b4 dishing them out? No money will be lost... Infact i get AoR/CoAT even b4 the funds are deducted from my barter card... Let's be guided.

Please who can help me with the application and other fees payment this evening? All transactions have been declining since morning. E jo oooo
Do not use flutterwave Barter o... be warned. There are restrictions on what you can use your Barter dollar card for.. it's not gonna work on CIC.
Also you WILL lose money. The dollar buy rate is lower than sell , so if you try and it fails, your money will never remain the same again (lol). My own is still paining me

Your manner of response shows your type of personality, the one who assumes the worst. In order words, the paranoid set of people.
Your first response was like a passage which a simple one line statement asking for clarifications could have prevented or better even keeping mum. Well, someone actually answered my inquiry politely with a simple statement of not more than 12 words.

In other words, you need to learn how to connect to people and understand what the term "politeness" means. Apparently, you lack both.

Dear All,

Please I want to start the PR process to Canada, but I don’t know my left from right and I genuinely need help.
It's not encouraging to respond when you ask open ended questions. But here are some bullets
(Get details from Page 1)

1)Evaluate your degrees, it takes some significant time and its advisable to start from here. See Wes.org for more

2) Take the IELTS test(general). You need at least 8 in listening, 7.5 in speaking, reading and 7 in writing. Google "IELTS registration Nigeria".

3) Get into the pool with your IELTS and Degrees. See CIC.gc.ca

Note that depending on age, degree and discipline. Express entry might not be the best for you.. in that case check out PNP (provincial Nomination program)

Do these first...

Quick Question: about Job Reference Letter

I held two roles in my company; as an Accountant (Past role) and as a Finance Manager (Current Role) - Both combination= 3+ yrs

Option A: while filling my EE profile should I separate both roles (signifying the start and end date for both roles) or
If you are sure the two roles fall into the same NOC without need to embellish and be panicking, yes I'll say get the two reference letters.

Option B: should I just use the current role, and let my Reference Letter reflect the difference in roles.
If you think the NOCs are contestable, please just use one Reference letter reading your current role for the past 3 years.

Knowing that this is just one work experience declaration, and there will only be one placeholder per work experience declaration.

you are wrong here. It is clearly stated in the ITA letter that you can make changes as you please as long as your scores dont go below the CRS draw for that date. So no issues here as her masters already gives her maximum points. The bsc is of no use whether evaluated or not. Cc obinnaonyeka
We are saying the same thing. Yes changes can be made, but I advised not to so the basis of ITA eligibility is not affected.
E.g removing a work experience post ITA or an education can reduce the CRScore and affect eligibility.

The important thing is he/she has nothing to worry about the BSC.. but Abeg let him/her not exclude BSc
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by dyduds(m): 8:36am On Dec 04, 2020
It is strongly advised not to remove or modify your academic and employment information after ITA as this was the basis of the ITA (CR Score) in the first place.
CIC requires that you verify all degrees in Express entry portal but this is silent in the PR application.

If you dont have your BSC verified AND you ticked as same in the express entry form before you got the ITA, you should go ahead with your PR application.

*I strongly advice you not add a Letter of explanation for this. *

Your single education document upload for PR should be in the following arrangement
1- BSC Certificate
2- MSC Certificate
3- WES verification Document.

Again - I advice no LOE for this.

If you want to immediately after your application, you can go ahead and verify your BSC just incase CIC sends a request for it.

Overall... if you feel uncomfortable, you can decline the ITA (which in my opinion I don't think you should) , go verify the BSC a d comeback to the pool.

obinnaonyeka:
Goodday house, If pre-ita i stated 1 bsc and two masters but only evaluated the two masters with WES but not the bsc, after ita, is it okay to remove the bsc from the study section and state it in personal history or i just upload the two evaluated masters and bsc and explain in LOE.
