If an old man wants to run clinical trial on his herbal formula now,you'll see all these teaching hospitals charging millions they give up last last and assist those who consult them for medication until they die with their formulas

Discernment is the key! Why not go to nafdac office and request for the requirements/procedures for registration so you see for yourself how its done, so you know whether "public safety" is paramount or not ?
Check on Nafdac's website you'll find the list of recognised registered drugs there both orthodox and herbal,at least that can serve as a guide because there are fake numbers out there too.
