NIGERIA: NEW CURRENCY PANDEMIC PART 2

Conversation between a market woman and a buyer during the Nigerian "New Currency Pandemic" where there is currently limited cash circulation.

Therefore, people are not currently happy as at today - February 8th, 2023. This buyer came in to a commodity market to buy tomatoes.

Read the Conversation thus:

Buyer: Madam, do you have…, sorry, (confused) how much is this tomatoes? (She's already touching the first cup)

Seller: That cup is #700 (about $1), how much are you buying?

Buyer: Touching the second cup, said #500 (less than $1), but can you accept transfer or do you have POS?

Seller: Which transfer, which POS?

Buyer: No problem, (touching the 3rd cup), will you accept old Naira Note?

Seller: No oo! No be me.

Buyer: Hmm! I no understand you o? Okay, I've #1,000 new currency note but you must give me new currency note as my change as well.

Seller: Emm…, I don't have the new currency note to give you as change oo!

Buyer: That's okay! Then I will buy from your neighbor.

Seller: Omo, see Wahala! After you don scatter all my market (tomatoes)? If I say make you rearrange all these tomatoes shey you go happy abi? Nonsense, stupid, how there you? Na me cause your problem? No come my shop again o!

Buyer: Replying to her - You no get sense, you don't know customer. If you see me for your shop next time make you call me mumu.

Seller: Answering - You be mumu, you don mumu finish.

WAHALA everywhere! Who do us this thing?

…put up a law to immediately withdraw the old currency note - #200, #500 and #1,000, on the 31st of January, 2023.

Can you tell me - Civilized Countries, is it how it is done?

From my knowledge and experience, when a new currency is Introduced, the old one should be withdrawn gradually from circulation.

Isn't it?

The "POOR" and "AVERAGE" were directly or indirectly forced to deposit their little token in the bank before the fall of 1st February, 2022.

And then…

The Fire Spread and it's still Spreading till this moment - 3rd February, 2023.

To collect #10,000 from POS agent, he/she charges you 30%, that is #3,000. It's that too crazy?

Can a driver travel a far distance with a reverse gear? Adsolutely no! I'm a pilot so I'm sure.

Stroke occurs due to problems with the blood supply to the brain: either the blood supply is blocked or a blood vessel within the brain raptures, causing the dead of the brain tissue. A stroke is a medical emergency and treatment must be sought as quickly as possible.

CAUSES/SYMPTOMS OF STROKE:

d. Stroke risk for older men who take alpha-blockers. Alpha-blockers are used to treat a variety of conditions, including high blood pressure, (HBP).
TREATMENT OF STROKE:
Treatment for a stroke depends on whether it is Ischemic or hemorrhagic. Treatment for a transient Ischemic attack (TIA) depends on its cause, how long it has been since symptoms began, and weather you have other medical conditions.
Treatment for an Ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) may include medicines and/or medical procedures.
If you have a stroke caused by a blood clot, you may be given a clot-dissolving or clot-busting medication called tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). A doctor will inject tPA into a vein in your arm. This type of medication must be given within four (4) hours of symptoms onset. Ideally, it should be given as soon as possible.
