I am desparately looking for a service shop for my 2002 Ford E350 van in Abuja. I might also need to have my brakes checked too. Any information about a mechanic/technician knowledgable and comfortable with servicing this vehicle will be greatly appreciated.

PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe - What Nigeria Means To Me by eagleu: 3:00pm On Jan 24, 2010
Katsumoto:
I think the point he was making was that, considering the antecedents of the Yoruba people, it is wrong to label them cowards considering they were a conquering people. I equally made this point in my first post. The Egyptian- Isreali analogy is much more dated than the Oyo Empire reign of the 14th to 18th century. Your point may be relevant in another 3000 years time.
History of betrayal runs deep and has been well documented among Yoruba people, and I don't mean that other tribes, Igbos included have been without instances of betrayal. The Yoruba history of Illorin and the story Afonja, the war general sent by the Oyo king to defend the empire against marauding Fulanis. Afonja ended up teaming with the Fulanis to declare himself king of Illorin. Like all stories of sabotage and betrayal, the pepertrators usually loose whatever they gained at the end of the story, because Afonja's defendants lost the city to Fulanis even as we speak. After the well documented story of Brutus betraying Ceaser, Afonja's betrayal of his own king ranks close in popularity in classical studies. My point?
When people point accussing fingers of betrayal, mistrust, and sabotage against major Yoruba politicians, we need to understand that yes, there have been precedents.

Given that that part of the post was mistakenly ommitted, since the original has made himself known. He already gave himself out there and hence I see no need to even bother posting that info anymore. LMAO!!!, If you look at the posting, you will see that it takes the form of an article taken from a site somewhere, only that I forgot to post the source but since he already claimed it is his, then maybe he should be the one to post the source , LMAO!!
Foolish boy, which kin school you de go for OH?
People who forget to give credit to their source, and are stupid enough to be loud about it are said to have committed plagiarism. LMAO!!!!!!!!

If you really want to be a gentleman you will learn to shut up and accept that once it is online and out there for the world to see, people are free to cut and paste it as many times as they wish to since it is not copyrighted.
It would have been nice to paste the write up in such a way that the original writer is noted or given credit.

Na waaaa ohh, I am being charged N5 for every N1000 leaving my UBA NRN current account, in addition to a monthly maintainenance fee of N105.
From now on, all transfers to be made from my savings account
The problem is that the saving account (openend ages ago when I was in Nja) is not part of my NRN suite of accounts and I don't know how to add it to my NRN suite.
Any suggestions?
Do you know what type of charges they impose on UBA NRN Savings? How about if you close the current account into the savings, and operate the thing periodically.

Bye the way does anyone know if UBA in New York is violating any US banking laws by all these mean spirited deductions?

I don't think it's too early to lay a good foundation.

well then wait one year into his presidency to judge the foundation his policies are laid on.
wait one year, ten years whatever, you go see say pres. Yaradua is no good. Despite university education, he is no better than shagari and other northern semi-illitrates imposed on us by OBJ. First he imposed shagari instead of Awo, now we have this yaradua fool.
PoliticsRe: Lol: Igbo-made Jeep And Bus To Be Launched In December by eagleu: 1:52am On Oct 10, 2007
@kobojunkei

No, I'm not trying to scare you at all. My point is that all parts of naija are gifted with something, so let's find whatever it is, and let people be proud of what they can make.

USA has only one Detriot, so I don't care if the Igbos spearhead automobile production.
Instead of castigating them, other regions should honesty compete or look for their own God-given talent.

If this happens, you would see how fast we would go from a corrupt, oil-dependent, and uneducated society to a modern industrial giant.

@topic,
Nigeria is still in the planning stage.
Some companies have done comprehensive mapping of the major cities in Nigeria.
so the full answer is, GPS does not work in Naija yet. You will need a human GPS to assist you (and go with you) from point A to B, or help along the road (somewhere in point C).
Thanks for the information, it helps with planning to visit naija.
