snoopy: Just to encourage. The person I mentioned earlier that had been on 221g for H-1b since last year just got approved yesterday. Hopefully your person gets approved too. 4 months taken off the H1B. That's brutal. |

Taal17: Honestly I don't know. What I do know is that processing has been longer in Nigeria The case was re-affirmed as "refused" last week. They are looking but not ready to approve, even though the H category is not a part of the ban. |

Taal17: Based on the current proclamation 10998 they would not be able to issue you visa under the partial nan. F2 circumstances would probably not qualify for the exemptions of the proclamation. I'd say you can reapply if you get a date after June 2026 and by then we'd know if the ban would reversed.
Now the recent visa bond for B1/B2 that includes Nigeria might be a possibility but I don't know how this works for Nigeria since visa issuance is banned, that I'm not clear about By next week I'll confirm, it might help in your case. Any idea about H4 processing times in this era of social media vetting? |

FireTheSun: You have put it, as best as no one could. FREEDOM, ON-DEMAND, COST SAVINGS. Solar is supposed to pay for itself over a long time, but with the high cost of energy (Gas, Electricity, Fuel) and the incessant grid collapse of our Country, Solar is paying for itself in even shorter time than was predicted (averagely 15yrs)
Is there anyone in the House who knows about conversion of Petrol Engine to Electric ? My problem is how to convert my Petrol Car Engines to run on Electric (not looking to buy off the shelf Electric Vehicles). Like we did for home use, l want to be able to use flexible (and even if not flexible) Solar Panels on the Roof of my car and let it harness juice when l park it in the Sun. I also want to be able to load the bot with LifePo4 cells, as much as l want.
I have heard snippets of people who convert Petrol Engines to use Gas or even turn it to EV but there is a serious knowledge gap on how to do it. Na so e dey take start o, fertile minds on this thread should please roll it over in their minds. This playlist covers an EV conversion for a Mini Cooper. Nothing fanciful but functional. |

The hardship observed on this thread is proving that going solar offers even more gains in the Nigerian context. Anyway we can get a poll of how many people here use solar to cook and what their induction/electric cooker power ratings are like (for newcomers who might be interested)? |

Penboy: Have you tried withdrawing from skrill to your bank account? Yet to try that. I was only able to effectively get $8 back into my T212 account via Skrill so when I tried to withdraw, the default option was still my wallets.africa debit card. I'm guessing their server chooses the option that you've been able to deposit the most with ($10 via debit card vs $8 via Skrill). I plan to deposit more via Skrill and then try to withdraw again. |

Jimmy17: Thanks...is that rate for both withdrawal and deposit?.. finally,Did you have to link the card to t212 through gpay or you just used it directly on t212? Thanks That was the rate to fund my dollar-based virtual debit card on wallets.africa. I linked the virtual debit card directly on T212 and was able to deposit to my T212 account instantly. I was able to send the funds from T212 back to my wallets.africa debit card but not back to naira, ended up sending it back into T212 via Skrill to create another withdrawal option. |

I don't know who needs this, but an easy way to fund your T212 account is via wallets.africa: you create a wallets.africa account and get to have your own Wema and Rubies accounts into which you can make Naira deposits. You can then create a virtual dollar-based debit card which you can use on T212. I did same and have been able to deposit $10 to my T212 account and withdraw same from T212 to my virtual debit card. Their exchange rate is the only snag as it is quite high. |

microgiant: Good day ladies and gents,
Advise needed, I want to buy a tv, did some research and found TCL 4k Android Smart UHD Edgeless TV which meets my spec and budget. It consumes about 135w at full blast. Is it advisable to purchase it considering I plan to install 5KW inverter.
Also I had in mind to purchase an inverter friendly fridge, but unfortunately the LG fridge model JUO mentioned he bought for 80k and consumes 30w is currently out of stock. In fact, after he mentioned it I searched online and found it on jumia around 130K, but when I was ready to purchase, it was out of stock on jumia and konga. Please advise next possible option.
It seems many people are following this thread silently, and acts on any information posted here.

31 years of service and she is collecting a meagre salary of 35000 naira.
It hurts.
All I can see is a woman who has no option but continues to do her work.
31 years....35 thousand per month and she will be due for retirement in 4 years time. Let me give you a better sense of that salary: she will have to work for 33 years to make what a Nigerian senator takes as allowance in one month (#14000000). |
