Just letting u know i have got sexy Igbo babes around me. . . . .@Sauron, at this point, I think Yoruba women will be better off if you turn gay because it will save us the pains of you infecting an honest sister with Chlamydia. Take your chlamydia to Calabar and igbo women. |

Yorubas in particular have enormous ability to "absorb" other tribes and raise the ensuing products as 100% Yoruba. That's incorrect. There are so many police yoruba men that sow their royal oaths nationwide and the kids are raised in the culture where they were born. In most cases, a child leans towards the mother and is more accustomed with his or her mothers culture. Most kids that are products of two tribes should attest to that. |

why not have a federal institution that is having ijaws and itsekiris heading ibos and yoruba civil service? Because of population density, these two groups are bound to dominate these areas and obviously supply more human resources. It has nothing to do with who is more educated or whatnot. The hausas could not measure up because there was a gross exodus from school into the military for the purpose of maintaining power in the country. Most of them especially those in the hinterlands still believe Nigeria is and will continue to run the milito~cratic system which will assure them of their position in leadership. |

Last Warning!!!!! Igbo/Niger Delta women, please leave yoruba men alone. You women are causing shortage of men in Yorubaland because you have exceeded your marital quota in the southwest. The way you women rush Yoruba guys nowadays like they are all Obama makes me wonder and many Yoruba women are beginning to get worried about this new development. Y'all can come and take OYB and Sauron sha because we are better off without them but STAY away from Yoruba men OR Osisi/ifygurl/michelin/hotstepper/oyinye/Gamine etc take note and stay off please. |

What is more important in appointing a VC, is it the capability or ethnicity? My dear, ethnicity is supreme in every Nigerian appointment even if they are appointing suicide bombers, some people will still complain they are being shortchanged. 1 Like |

The issue is that only Etim and his wife were searched among the whole guest. Probabaly they were the poorest ones there. Etim has his issues, yes but that was humuilating, and keeping quiet like is the normal Nigerian reaction would be more humulating All these are speculations because Etim is running his mouth like diarrhea. Read part of his comments below and set your sentiments aside before making a judgment. I think we are dealing with a bitter and deranged man here. Continuing, Esin said “because of the trauma, she has gone to France to cool off. Okocha keeps saying he loves me, all this was a phony love, he never loved me. They are just jealous about my wife, a Malian Fulani who married me for love, not for fame. We met during my travails not when I was playing. You see I don’t have money but I have a wonderful family, a blessing from God. He said Okocha’s attitude of looking down on people is very bad as he said that he would be named among the list of top number 10 players in Nigeria and Africa before Okocha, stressing that players like Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba and Celestine Babayaro played with flair like him than Okocha. On the issue that it was not Okocha’s phone that was missing, Etim said, “whether it was his phone or not, why was I embarrassed in his house. They said my daughter was not there, that is not true. My daughter loves me so much and is always with me, she even wanted us to leave the party early but I delayed.” |

I hear you. I take it you'll have no problem with the appointment of a VC from Edo state to head any of the Universities in the East? You obviously didn't understand his comment at all. Again, the Edo group were protesting the appointment of another igbo VC because the outgoing one is igbo. 1 Like |

UNIBEN defends appointment of Acting VC From Alemma-Ozioruva Aliu, Benin THE management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has declared as untrue allegations in some quarters that the appointment of Professor Uche Gbenedio as acting Vice Chancellor of the school had ethnic colouration. A group, Concerned Edo Citizens, yesterday in Benin threatened to sue the Federal Government over the appointment of Gbenedio, arguing that due process was not followed in the appointment. But speaking with The Guardian on phone yesterday, the school's spokesperson, Mr. Eddy Akpomera maintained that there was nothing ethnic in the appointment as there were precedents from similar institutions. "The University of Benin is a Federal Government institution and we do not condone ethnicity. What happened in the University of Benin was the same thing that applied in other federal universities that the tenures of the Vice Chancellors elapsed. It is on record that in all the other universities, the Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Administration) were those that were appointed. That is the convention and precedent. The Minister appointed them after due consultation with the National Universities Commission (NUC). The same principle was applied at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Usman Dan Fodiyo University, Sokoto and then UNIBEN. So, there was nothing that was done in UNIBEN that was ethnic. He or she just takes charge briefly until council comes and anybody who is interested applies. There is nothing ethnic in it, the University of Benin is a Federal Government institution," he said. But the president of the Edo Citizens Group, Mr. Ralph Adeghe in a press conference urged the Federal Government to resort to due process in the appointment of an acting VC or risk court action. He accused the Minister of Education, Dr. Sam Egwu, of bringing ethnic sentiment into the appointment of Gbenedio. They said Gbenedio was from the same Igbo ethnic extraction as the minister and the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Nwanze who is a Delta Igbo. "The supposedly acting vice chancellor is from the east with the minister. This is another point that the minister is going to introduce tribalism into the Nigerian university system. We are totally against it. With what we have seen is the minister trying to support his sister against other contestants using his office and which is very wrong," he alleged. Adeghe, who is a lecturer at the Igbinedion University, Okada said the action of the minister and that of Prof. Nwanze contradicted the spirit and letters of what a reputable institution like the University of Benin should be. Meanwhile, the Students' Union Government (SUG) of the school institution has hailed the appointment of Prof. Gbenedio. It also lauded the tenure of the out going vice-chancellor, saying the institution witnessed monumental growth during his tenure. The president, Prince Harrison Ehimiyen, who addressed reporters in Benin City said: "So much has been said about the tenure of our amiable vice-chancellor. However, none of these can be as profound and important as the impact assessment by the students' community. We congratulate Prof. Gbenedio who has always been like a mother to all of us. We, therefore, call on all stakeholders to give her the maximum support and maintain peace on campus. The SUG will do whatever is necessary to sustain the atmosphere of peace that we have enjoyed on campus," he said. http://odili.net/news/source/2009/feb/7/13.html |

Bad Belle Exclusive: Missing handset saga: Thank God they didn’t plant a gun on me — Etim Esin Written by Patrick Omorodion Saturday, February 7, 2009 The last has not been heard on the raging ‘war’ between two former Super Eagles players who wore the famous Number 10 jersey, Etim ‘Maradona’ Etim and Austin Jay Jay Okocha on the drama of a missing phone handset at the residence of Okocha. The Delta-born former Bolton Wanderers captain spoke to Vanguard Sports Wednesday, stressing that he would go to church for a thanksgiving because the Etim Esin issue could have been worse, may be leading to a harm on him by Esin. Esin replying on Thursday said he too was thankful to God that he was just accused of stealing a handset that turned out not to be true and not roped in for armed robbery which could have been worse for him. “If he said he was going to church to thank God, I would also go to the mosque to thank God that I was only accused of stealing a phone which they eventually did not find with me. My brother, what if they planted a gun in my car and told the world that I’m an armed robber, would it not have been worse for me”, Esin said over the phone in Lagos. The former forward of defunct Iwuanyanwu FC and Flash Flamengoes of Benin said that the humiliation he and his wife suffered at the residence of Okocha has caused his wife to breakdown causing her to travel out to France to recuperate. “They said they begged my wife, what nonsense, after embarrassing her and she wept profusely, they are now begging her. My wife is still in shock over the treatment and has continued to wonder that somebody I so much talk about with passion cold do that to me. Can Nkechi his wife be searched like that, why my wife, the woman that stood by me when I had problem. And I was taking my wife to his house for the first time”, he said. Okocha or HiTV cannot give me a family. They are jealous of my family that’s all. I bought a 2008 Mazda for N4.5 million, Okocha or Toyin Subair did not buy it for me. Instead of opening an academy to help former players and produce future stars, he is opening a night club. What happens there, is it not prostitution and drugs. If I have money I won’t open a night club but an academy to help the young ones.” He said he did not learn from the armed robbery attack on him as well as the drug issue about his life but will definitely learn from what happened to him in Okocha’s residence because “if I am accused of begging, it is better than being roped with armed robbery. People know that I have been surviving on good will because for 15 years I had no job, and now Okocha and Subair want to destroy that because they are friends.” He said Okocha’s attitude of looking down on people is very bad as he said that he would be named among the list of top number 10 players in Nigeria and Africa before Okocha, stressing that players like Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba and Celestine Babayaro played with flair like him than Okocha. On the issue that it was not Okocha’s phone that was missing, Etim said, “whether it was his phone or not, why was I embarrassed in his house. They said my daughter was not there, that is not true. My daughter loves me so much and is always with me, she even wanted us to leave the party early but I delayed.” He said he was ready to go the whole hug with the law suit to clear his name because “they embarrassed me and my wife and made her shed tears so much. Okocha is too proud, he doesn’t want to say simple sorry. Didn’t Atiku go to Obasanjo so why can’t Okocha apologise for embarrassing my family. ” http://odili.net/news/source/2009/feb/7/314.html |
