When we were chasing them away from Nigeria and shouting ghana must go ghana must go, we 4get say nobe who get today go get 2morrow, we really need to thank them for not deporting Nigerians the way we deported their citizens decades ago
Before you point that fingers on Nigeria, ask yourself who fired the first shot. Ghanaians first deported Nigerians, and after about some years the Shagari government did the same thing - but this time in a devastating manner.

What happened then is similar to the nonsense the Ghanaians want to repeat, only that Nigeria is still watching their macabre dance. The ordinary Ghanaians don’t know that thousands if not millions of Ghanaians live in this country. Most of them blend well as Nigerians even carrying our international passport, National ID cards and LGA indigene certificate. But if we begin to misbehave like them, they’ll begin cry to international community.

Abi na puff puff or Alomo business you want close. Ghanaians used to be many in Nigeria doing teaching jobs in the 1990’s and early 2000. There are lots of them also in the transport, shipping and building industry. But we don’t discriminate against them. Go to Apapa wharf and you’ll see lots of Ghanaians in offices.

For me, I support the ouster of Yahoo boys messing around in Ghana, but the humiliation of legitimate Nigerian traders is getting out of hand.

Parties will to to primaries to elect their leaders, Buhari and Tinubu will play a leading role in who will carry the APC presidential party flag in APC.

But one thing is sure, APC will not micro-zone that ticket to any zone in the South and PDP is not likely to zone the ticket to the South all together
Anything can happen, after all politics is drama itself. However, 2023 will be interesting.

The combo is good but you should consider their various parties. Okonjo-Iweala from what I know is still in the PDP, while Babagana Zulum is in the APC. So that’s a problem. Okonjo-Iweala would do well to pick the PDP Presidential nomination form and slug it out with the likes of Obi and Umahi. I believe the women would throw their weight behind her.
You’re right. Niger is due for a woman President. I’m not downgrading the men oh, I just feel our country is ripe for an Iweala. BB Naija may lose followership in an event of Okonjo-Iweala’s emergence. I trust our feminist sisters to carry out this task. cheesy grin

You are right! 2023 shouldn’t be a do or die affair. The masses aren’t benefitting from the glory of Naija, only the elites enjoy the goodies our dear country offers. This is why we should sit down and change the status quo. Hopefully, a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in the person of Ken Nnamani or Okonjo-Iweala can make a difference.
This one you dey use style push Nnamani! Well nothing spoil. He’s a lovable fellow.
But what do do make of this Combo come 2023!

True! Nigeria would move forward! The SW will congratulate the SE. Tinubu and the leadership of the APC SW will forge a handshake across the Niger.

Let’s join hands to support a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction. Every Nigerian should join hands in this noble task.

A welcome development. This was what Victor Umeh should have done in 2013, but he snitched on Rochas. The APGA faction that formed the APC should have been his hunting ground now, but he decided to remain a PDP lackey, till Ekwunife messed him up. Well, never to late to do the needful.
Rochas is now having the upper hand. That dude was visionary. I hope he wins the APC Presidential ticket if it comes to the Igbo nation. He who planted, must reap!

They don't just speak Igbo. A lot of people in Kalabari speak Igbo, yet we have never claimed them as Igbo.

Dr. Baikie wrote that "BONNY PEOPLE CLAIM AN IGBO DESCENT". What that statement means, is that THEY'RE IGBOS.

If they were not Igbos, that statement would have claimed that they were of IJAW DESCENT or BRASS DESCENT.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge. The Igbos lost out after the civil war, Ijaws now lay claim to the people of Bonny/Opobo

wat bridge did yoruba biuld in 99 to win election?is it opc and nadeco long bridge?
Have Yoruba’s built any successful political bridge in their history? It has always been a master/servant relationship.

1. The first political bridge built by Yoruba with north, saw Alimi sacking Oyo Ile. Afonja his Yoruba host was killed and Ilorin taken forever by the sons of Dan Fodio.

2. The second bridge Akintola built with Ahmadu Bello was a master/servant relationship that saw to the imprisonment of Awolowo and the ‘operation wetie’ where the Yoruba’s exposed their inhuman petrol burning tendencies. Save for the coup, the Yoruba’s would had finished themselves. However, it all ended with the demise of Akintola in the hands of the coupist.

3. The second bridge MKO Abiola built with Kingibe ended in imprisonment and death in prison. Yoruba’s still hold the African record of the only ethnic group to win a Presidential election without tasting the seat.

4. Obasanjo, the only Yoruba leader both military and civilian was a northern puppet. As a civilian President, Obasanjo didn’t build any bridge and escaped death by the skin of his teeth. Save for the death of Abacha, he would have become history. However, he was cleaned from prison and foisted on the Yoruba’s by Theophilus Danjuma. Yet, he remained a servant of Atiku Abubakar in his first term and had to knell down to beg the VP for second term.

5. Even the 2011 contact with north wasn’t their making. Dasuki had to link Buhari to Tinubu to prepare the talks for the merger. Abi Tinubu know road to Sokoto? Then came the 2013 merger that had northern imprints all over it, even the results in 2015/2019 election day revealed the real empty drums.

Last shot: The South West are just noise makers basking in empty glory. Yoruba’s should stand alone and test their popularity in 2023. I hope they don’t begin their 1993/1998 chants for the republic of Oduduwa after being ragdolled, traumatized and sent packing. Already, they’ve already inaugurated Amotekun in preparation for their nights of wailing. Sowore’s fake revolution is another stunt that will become full blown after the decimation of Yoruba political dwarfism by the north.

What a disconnect!

In Ugbodu, North Delta, smack in middle of Anioma, and a direct Yoruba ancestry rooted to Akure/Owo, they have Yoruba name and Ibo name. Anyone and everyone acknowledge they are Yoruba. Even their language is proto-Yoruba.

It is only in dressing they appear to be Ibo.

In Ikwere, they speak pure Ibo, names are Ibo, dress like Ibo and even have eat Ibo food.

Ikwerre must drop Ibo name before I will be convinced they are not Ibo.

On this topic I stand with my in-laws[/s]. grin
There are no Yoruba town called Ugbodu in Anioma. Ugbodu we know is an Igbo town case closed. The nonsense historical revisionism you lot carry out there may not go unanswered one day. Any migration that happened in the 18 century has been submerged by the parent land. Don’t derail this topic before we talk about how Oyo Ile and Share in Kwara, and Shaki areas of Oyo state are Nupe and not Yoruba’s. Be careful with this table you keep shaking. How can you be talking bullshit or claiming people who don’t know you. Face your Yorubaland clown.

Jajaslim:
Nobody is spoiling anything for Igbo it is about who is in the best position to deliver.

Me and you know that, Igbo Apc candidate will be difficult to win Pdp dominated Niger delta region talk more of Yoruba votes. So will Igbo candidate sell??

But if Amaechi is given the ticket, South south will support their brother irrespective of the party, and you igbos who see Amaechi as Igbo will support him including the Yorubas too with his yoruba name “Rotimi”

It’s very simple.
Okay, that’s your own analogy. Amaechi has a right to contest as a Nigerian. However, while the south-south may allot him sympathetic vote, he may fail woefully in the SE if there’s an Igbo Presidential candidate from the PDP. All the Igbo want is to feel accepted in this country and the Presidency or secession will be the mantra come 2923.

Also, don’t believe what you hear about the SE hating APC, that’s a fallacy. Amaechi can only have the upper hand when there are no SE candidate in the both major parties, that is when he’ll sweep their votes.

Again, since the SE wants the Presidency you may see another situation play it’s ugly head. Especially when it comes to the PDP. For instance you’ll see the APC sweeping majority votes there even with Peter Obi as the Vice for PDP. Even devil Rochas and Kalu will shock the PDP there with a landslide smashing. So for now let Amaechi play his politics right, because from my permutations I see a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in Aso rock come 2023.

[s]APC can not give Igbo ticket, because Niger delta is PDP and voting for an Igbo Apc candidate in the Niger delta will be extremely difficult for us so igbo can only win South East and can not win South South or South West. That is why the igbos should support Amaechi now.

But we in the South South will give Rotimi Amaechi our 100% votes because he is our brother even though he fought against Jonathan because Politics is all about a game of interest.[/s]

Politics › Re: Ikwerre Are Not Igbos, BRACED Counters Amaechi's Claim That Ikwerres Are Igbos by Eastlink(m):
Amarabae:
Ikwerres origin is from slave trade, they are descendants of slaves the Arochukwus captured from Ibo hinterlands and sold through okrika waterways,
when slave trade ended, some of them who were waiting to be sold were released and they settled in their present location only to be populated by migrants from etche, ngwa etc
that's the origin of the hatred against Igbos in the hinterland.
ikwerre elders know this history
This is the reality on ground. Ikwerre hate on other Igbos was caused by the Aros who sold them as slaves to the whiteman. Elechi Amadi said something close to this but shame didn’t allow him reveal the whole truth. Ikwerre and Okrika are slaves taken from the Igbo hinterlands who were about to be shipped to the white mans land only for slavery to come to an end in the 19th century. However, the population of the Ikwerre swelled when other clans such as Etche, Owerri, Ekpeye and Isuama as well as Kalabari migrated there to form what is known as Iwhereoha. Before the civil war, the house of Okpo Wagidi of Isiokpo (Aros) used to be the Eze/Chief of the Ikwerre, but as soon as the war ended the like of Elechi Amadi, and Obi Wali who suffered from low caste status as a child dethroned Aro headship of Ikwerreland, instigating hate against them and installed the Ogbakor Ikwerre to lead their clan. Late Obi Wali himself when alive wrote about this as the reason for the animosity. Ikwerre land in ancient time was Etche land and partly Ekpeye from the western flank, that Arochukwu slave hunters turned to a slave camp.

This is the reason why the Ikwerre are trying to form princely royalty from Benin in order to hide their Osu/slavery origin. While Okrika claim Ijaw origin to hide their slavery ancestry, Ikwerre attach to Benin to do same.

Bottom line, any Igboid group in Rivers state claiming Benin had a slave past. The same goes for any section claiming Ijaw.

According to the government , we have 500,000 N-power beneficiaries ....and each get 30,000 naira ...which means the program cost us 15 billion a month to run . While we spend 15 billion a month this program contribute absolutely nothing to the GDP of Nigeria .
With 5 billion naira u can build a standard vocational training center , that can teach Nigerians real skills in partnership with industries .I'm not talking about how to bake and stuff ...I'm talking about industries recommending the staffs they want and we train them for them
Oil companies would say we need 50,000 pipeline welders per year , it's this centers that would provide them , we need 10,000 fitters , profilers and so on ... Ict programs would be geared towards professional programs that are in high demand ...just like that for all sectors
This programs would run for like 6 months to 18 months depending on the programs ...and entrepreneurship would be taught along side the skills
In a month we can build 3 ...in a year 36 ...in 5 years each state would have 5 at least and each can train 1500 people a year ...
Every year we would be producing 270,000 skilled labor who are ready to take up the blue collar industry and explore on their own ...
If half gets fully employed our GDP would grow by approx 500 billion naira a year from this sector alone

We can even work with under populated countries to certify some if this programs and take some of this trainees over to their countries ...

It's very simple logic
Supported! The government should scrap that program and bring up something better to cater for all Nigerian youths.

I still maintained sir, he did not do Abiola any favour by being upright it is expected of a man of integrity which an electoral body chair should be. It is just like saying we should praise a football referee for not indulging in match fixing why will he do otherwise in the first instance?
It’s quite a pity some of you Yoruba’s are pushing this false narratives against the Igbos when you’re far worst and tribalistic.
First, you blame Daniel Kanu for his ABN support for Abacha and now you’re blaming Humphrey Nwosu a man who risked his life to announce Abiola winner despite threats from IBB. It’s quite a shame. But yet you have continued to absolve fellow Yoruba’s who supported that Annulment.

You are hitting hard on the Igbos who didn’t influence that annulment nor did were they party to Abacha’s regime, leaving the following Yoruba’s who were directly active in the whole fiasco.

1. Ernest Shonekan — Interim Head of Government appointed by IBB to rule the country after the annulment.

2. General Oladipo Diya — Vice to Abacha who took part in the arrest and killing of NADECO chieftains.

3. General Adisa — Chief of Army staff under Abacha

4. Ebenezar Babatope — who served as minister under Abacha and a host of other Yoruba’s who stood with Abacha.

A childhood friend of the President, as attested by a publicly available photograph, Mr Oladokun’s company 3D Global Consult was awarded by the President, in early 2017 a consultancy contract for an amount of $326,000 through direct contracting, thereby making full use of the possibility to waive procedures for the procurement of consulting services granted to the President by PD 02/2012. This contract has been flagged by internal audit, as being potentially subject to a conflict of interest. It is unclear if this red flag has led to any investigation nor if it was verified if this contract was awarded in thanks for Mr. Oladokun’s alleged services performed during the President’s election campaign. Mr Oladokun was then appointed in September 2017 as Director of Communications and reports directly to the President.
