horsepower102: This current generation must be the ones to change the course of our engagement with others is this one Nigeria.
We must sacrifice emotionalism and replace it with pragmatism and self interest.
We should stop treating our neighbors as brothers and simply see them for what they are; our neighbors.
Thank God pazienza. The era of pleasing others brought us scorn and insults. The language Nigeria understands is ethnic patriotism. Which sane country would vote in a Buhari tell me? The Yoruba's are unapologetically ethnic champions and have remained so but only the Igbo's are claiming holy. Igbos lost the plot with her shameless macabre dance and many of us are guilty. 2023 is around the corner and yet we still don't have a political roadmap. A supreme leader is their destroying Igbo political future and our youths are their forming IPOB touts online and offline. We must begin to get it right. We must throw our individuality and work for our collective interest. |

Truth be told Ndigbo have suffered in this country. Partly also caused by them.
Since the demise of Nnamdi Azikiwe we've lost our political expediency. Emotionalism introduced by recent Igbo leaders, MASSOB and IPOB has taken a toll on our pride.
First we must get it right political. The era of trying to please others must seize henceforth. We did the nonsense with the Yoruba's in Abiola and Obasanjo and repeated the same to GEJ, yet their tribesmen would never pays us back in like manner.
Igbo must get it right and all those who scorned her will come begging on their knees. We must start using our thinking caps and be pragmatic.
The likes of MASSOB and IPOB offer nothing to Ndigbo. We must push them out for an hard core Pan Igbo group that looks after our interest first.
We must begin to vote in leaders that think Igbo first just as the Fulani's voted in a Buhari. Any lily livered Igbo politician who thinks others first etc must be destroyed politically. |

I deliberately stop posting comments because I couldn’t withstand the bile in the heart of some persons. Truly the Igbos are orphans in Nigeria. Others ethnicities always want to benefit from them but none is willing to sacrifice for their course. GEJ from Ijawland and Obasanjo from Yorubaland are good examples. But ask these groups to reciprocate to the Igbos and they’ll support the enemy.
Only an Igbo country would put us back to reckoning. I’m all for an Igbo Republic.
God bless the Igbo nation. |

Kinematics: [s]
We have always spoken out against the superiority mentality of the ibo man. We have always counter their delusion of always attaching the SS to their Biafra or SE.
Nairaland is filled with Ibos and Yorubas that's why you always see threads from this 2. The average SS person does not believe in nairaland propaganda(many are not even aware of a forum like this), when the time comes the ibos that always attach themselves to the SS at every given opportunity will know better. Reality is different from opening multiple threads on nairaland.
They Ibos should continue opening multiple threads claiming the SS as part of them and chest beating all over nairaland on fantom achievements. What happened in 1967 will repeat itself again.
They think we still live in the 60s where they control the SS, they think we are still as gullible as it was then where they controlled the destiny of of both old Rivers( now Rivers & Bayelsa) and old Cross River(now Cross River and Akwa Ibom).
Times have changed, but the Ibo man is still living in the past. Every youth and elderly in the SS is conscious about the tendencies and attitude of an ibo man, same with Nigeria in general[/s]. This is the first time I’m countering you. And all I see above is trash. We’ve not forgotten the rubbish you guys in old Rivers state and that is still fresh in our memories. You should speak for your own Ijaw that is where your constituency lies. You have no moral right to speak ill of the Igbos when you did worst than them in Rivers state. Everyone will be claiming holy but give them an opportunity and they’ll show you their true colour. 1. Old Rivers you made it Ijaw affair 2. Even ordinary amnesty of GEJ era, you made it solely for Ijaw youths. 3. You’ve converted the NDDC, ministry of Niger Delta and NIMASA to Ijaw empowerment scheme. And you have the effrontery to speak bad about others, when you’re even the worst. Nonsense! |

pazienza: IPOB are confused . 6 wasted years and counting, yet they don't know that Biafra starts and end in Igboland. There is nothing like SE/SS, we have SE and then SS. SE/SS only work when SS is posed to benefit from the union, like when we all supported GEJ in 20011 and 2015, while they left Zik to hang and dry in 1979 and 1983.And will probably repeat it again should an Igbo become a major presidential candidate in the future.
I don't know what type of people managing IPOB, but its obvious you lots don't have Igbo progress and welfare as your aim. If IPOB don't sit up, soon you will also be rejected in Igboland. What we need is a Biafra group that will make peace with homogeneous Igbo Biafra, reach out to Igbo groups in SS, try to convince them to come on board, and publicly denounce any Igboid group that choose to remain with Nigeria by releasing a Biafra map without their land on it. Pursue Igbo agenda in Nigeria and harmonize it with Biafra struggle. Catalonia leaders in Spanish government are on majority members of Catalonia secessionist movement. Thats the future of Biafra movement. This whole Buhari clone, Atiku Cameroon origin, No election, Trump support, etc, while Abia is under worst administration known in Igboland with nothing done to address that, is all becoming annoying and stupid. martowskin1: What did the Igbo's benefited from GEJ, name one thing?
U guys always make this statement.... List it let's see.
The only thing that would have been useful to Igbo's , GEJ didn't do it...
Second Niger bridge was not done. No university was created.... GEJ was supported because the SE saw them as one of their own...
Owerri was shut down when GEJ won that election, jubilation left and right, funny enough his own people couldn't celebrate him.
Tell me what have the Igbo's benefited from democracy since 1999 absolutely nothing.... So talking about benefit they are just a region who run them selves by them selves..
The only international airport was rotten to core b4 buhari considered them, GEJ couldn't even help them do it despite all the support.
PMB who they supported less, I can tell u is even do more for them now, I just hope ndigbo see things as it is and stopp sentimental politics....
Do it like the Yoruba's move to where pays u better not my brother politics Exactly. GEJ focused his attention on the north and the SS! Truth be told, he abandoned the SE. And in several occasions replaced Igbos in vital positions to appease the north. But unfortunately many big fools in the SE still supported him against their own regional interest. pazienza: Well I know that Ibibio, Ijaw and Urhobo favour Niger delta republic because you hope to start playing majority politics in the new country against the smaller ethnic groups, like Ijaw did in old Rivers state, Urhobo in current Delta and Ibibio in Akwa Ibom.
But you must know that Niger Delta republic will not happen. After escaping this failed Nigeria,no ethnic nationality would ever tolerate to be under another. Groups like Oro, Ogoni are already far advanced in their quest for independent country free from Ibibio and Ijaws, and would be supported by Ndiigbo to gain such, if we have a strategic leadership by then sha, not the current disorganized one championing for Biafra.
I am 100 percent that there will be no Niger Delta republic,At least not one consisting of all current 6 SS states intact. Niger Delta republic will likely in the end be just Ijaw republic, which was exactly what Boro defunct Niger Delta republic was all about. At least 20 independent countries would emanate from the current Niger Delta region. IPOB should stop wasting our time and forge synergy with all those groups as independent countries and not part of Biafra, so that we can all push together in our direction and free ourselves from Lagos/Abuja gang up that had affected all of us in the region. Lol! Many of the Niger Delta chanters don't know this. I'll prefer to join an Igbo only country than be marginalized in the hands of the Ijaws in their Isaac Boro republic. This is why Ndigbo must quickly alienate the IPOB group and get back to the leadership position of Nigeria. You are not a minority and should start acting like a major ethnic group for once. |

Donkalio: Diobu is the typical abandoned properties you have been hearing about. when the Fed Gov. wanted to create Rivers state, they talked about abandoned properties when siting the state capital, the okrikans told the Fed Gov. that the Diobu axis are the abandoned properties, so, the Okrikans lead the Fed Gov. to the present state government house, secretariat and old GRA. The land was handed over to Gowon, the then head of state, by the Okrika chiefs to establish the state government house.
Ikwerre have no business here. Both Okrika and Ikwerre were accomplice in the abandoned property. Oil politics from the fall out of the defeat of the Biafran forces helped to achieve this. 1. The Izons from current Bayelsa instigated the push for abandoned property. (The federal forces stoked the fire) 2. The Okrika who were an hybrid of Ijaw/Igbo played smart and claimed ethnic Ijaw to fit into the identity of old Rivers politics. 3. The Okrika met Gowon and accused the Ikwerre of siding with the Igbos and ask (Gowon) to declare not just the lands owned by the migrant hinterlanders but the whole of Diobu land as abandoned property. 3. The Ikwerre were stunned by this act and quickly denied kinship with the hinterland Igbos in order to retain their lands and inheritance. 4. To prove themselves worthy, they had to openly claim Ikwerre as an ethnic group and migration from Bini. And went further to change their names and towns to sound non-Igbo. 5. The federal government in a bid to retain control of the oil city rewarded the Okrika with the abandoned properties in Diobu land and the leadership of PHC to the Ijaws (headed by those in Bayelsa) 6. The Izons who became the new Sheriff of the manor did all to change the city narratives from Igbo owned to Ijaw owned. All the tribes who were domiciled in the riverrine areas were declared as ethnic Ijaws and those who still had affiliation with the Igbos in the uplands were given new ethnic identity. This was how the script played out. |

You see how your lies have caught up with you? Where is the fake receipt Lewis Harcourt is in possession of? Lewis Harcourt never signed any fraudulent receipt and Mr Kalio was an interpreter for the British and was never any Amanayabo of Okrika. For your information, Lewis Harcourt never signed anything with anyone. In fact he never stepped foot in Nigeria. Sir Lewis Harcourt was the British Secretary of Foreign Affair and was based in London as at that time. The Royal Niger Company were the administrators of the southern protectorate before 1914 and it was them that signed the agreements. Port Harcourt was only named after Lewis Harcourt in honor of his commitment to that Railway by the Royal Niger Company. Port Harcourt is Diobu land and the evidence are there. The Okrika currently living in P/H are land grabbers who migrated from their small Island into Diobu. |
