The south east is biafrally political.

The igbos introduced Tribalism in Nigeria when they planned coup and killed prominent leaders from other regions while the prominent political leaders in the south east where spared.

That was the genesis of Tribalism in Nigeria in case you don't know.

Other regions seem to have overtaken you guys in the game and you guys are not wailing uncontrollably.

Una neva see anything.

A pleasure to have you. So can you prove your arguments with fact? How is the South East Biafrally political? If such words exist. Perhaps has any Igbo President tribalised or religionized government appointment before compared to what Buhari did and what Tinubu is currently doing? Even Aguiyi Ironsi despite his short military rule never did such a thing.

Among the three major tribes, who do you think is truly nationalistic in words, deeds and attribute? Tinubu is President, are you proud of his major tribal appointment thus far in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country as ours?

The most tribalistic tribe in Nigeria.

I know them to well
You don’t need to call them tribalistic tribe. You don't group everyone together in one umbrella. Many, perhaps in the minority are nationalistic in philosophy and outlook. Before the coming of Awolowo, the South West had a national outlook which was championed by the likes of Herbert Macaulay, Davis, Alafin of Oyo etc.
Perhaps, from the time of Awolowo till now, the South-West became tribally inclined and pushed for their regional interest over national interest.

While the north is religiously political, the South-West is tribally political. Only the South-East, perhaps is nationally political.

So why was children filled with hate accusing Igbos of taken over Jonathan government?
Perhaps, as someone said, the Igbo leadership never bothered about countering the media propaganda and onslaught. The individualist attitude of the Igbo politicians then allowed the attack to go unchallenged. Infact, Igbo bond and group political sense died after the coming of democracy in 1999. The PDP and Obasanjo help create that wedge. However, since the emergence of Peter Obi in the last election, the greedy businessmen political system and docile politicians in the South-East seems to have been pushed aside from Igbo political decision making. They have no say anymore. The people now have the say.

Easy with the foul language. To be fair to the South-West they didn’t get any top 10 appointment beside the military and paramilitary positions. The North-West actually got large share of positions in Goodluck Jonathan’s government. Perhaps, some neutral tend to blame Tinubu for the shenanigan in the House of Reps where he sponsored Tambuwal against Mulikat Akande to the Speakership position. But even at that, Jonathan should have still find ways to compensate them especially the PDP faithfuls with perhaps another position where external hands can’t influence, something he didn’t do.

Even the North East didn’t get top position besides the military appointment. Perhaps, that was why some politicians decided to use Boko-Haram and the Chibok girls kidnap to make Goodluck Jonathan’s government ungovernable.

Politics / Unmasking The Lies That Igbos Dominated Ex-President Jonathan’s Government by Eastlink(m): 6:25pm On Sep 19, 2023
Prior to the build up to the 2015 general elections, many allegations were propagated nationwide about a supposedly Igbo domination of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government. While notable Igbos were appointed in ministerial and other functions, the evidence provided in this thread will prove that the allegations of Igbo hijack of Jonathan's regime were false.

Today all those who accused Jonathan’s of favoritism to the Igbos have done far worst than any government in the history of Nigeria when it comes to appointment and the application of federal character. Since emerging victorious in 2015, the same group who sponsored all forms of victimization and media attacks on Jonathan held major positions in Buhari’s divisive government. Today, with Tinubu as President, it’s becoming obvious that Buhari’s nepotistic rule is child’s play to what is obtainable today. If Buhari was a learner, Tinubu has show himself a Professor in his tribal laden appointments.

However, this thread seeks to nullify the lies told about the so-called Igbo domination of Goodluck Jonathan’s government.

From the forgoing, we’ll see the top positions in GEJ government as well as the military, paramilitary, judiciary, and executive. We’ll also look at the appointees and their states of origin. I might also summarize the appointments for time sake into their geo-political zones.

Isn't kwara not formely yoruba land, yorubas are a senatorial zone in kogi. There are not more yorubas than igbos in kaduna and Abuja, you can check your internet, at a time igbos were said to own 75% of the landed property in Abuja .

If yorubas have been trading in the north then where is the proof, igbos lived and worked in the north even before amalgamation of Nigeria so much so that most prominent igbos were born in the north like Nnamdi Azikiwe in born in zungeru 1904 his parents lived and worked in the north while the british were still trying to colonize Nigeria, which means that there were igbo communities in the north as at 1904 Ojukwu was born in the north, Jim Nwobodo too,Rochas, ike nwachukwu was born of igbo father and fulani mother even before the independence, Alex Ekwueme , cyprian Ekwensi were all born and bred in the north , show me any prominent yoruba leader born in the north etc. I am not talking about kogi or kwara , I mean core northern Nigeria, Nzeogwu was born in the north.

Showing me 1 prominent or visible yoruba born in the north before amalgamation like Zik or even before independence like ojukwu and Jim Nwobodo
Even Pete Edochie was born in Zaria and fluent in Hausa. My both grandparents lived in Jos, dad and mom were born there.

I see homecoming happening. The NBBF can solve her identity issues by giving her a chance. I see a real desire in her wanting to identify with her roots. No one is above mistakes. Perhaps, she needs healing and such can happen if we understand her pains, let her apologize for the wrong misdeeds instead of causing more problems with the interviews and sincerely apply for a change of nationality and play for Nigeria.

I see us unleashing her in the Olympics to cause damage to opposition defenses. And trust me, that lady will die for this country if we can accept her. If the world rejects your own, do not push her back if she’s sincerely returns home for succor.

Aside kaduna, which other north western state have indigenous Christians?
States like Kebbi have large indigenous Christians in areas like Zuru and the bulk of southern Kebbi. The Bamaiyi family is one example in Zuru. My childhood friend Isaiah Wakala is also from Zuru.

Kano has indigenous Christains in the following areas Garun Malam, Rano, Sumaila, Tudun Wada, Gwarzo and Karaye local government areas. I met lots of folks from those axis during NYSC corpers fellowship.

Katsina, Jigawa and Sokoto also have indigenous Hausa and Fulani Christians.

That has helped promote lgbtq sweeping thru western Europe is now so entrenched.

In poor paris suburbs, young blacks and white french youths from poor families are converting to islam in droves.

20 yrs ago, who would have imagined that there'd be a Pakistani descent London mayor or head of the scottish national party being a muslim.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in Western Europe due to the mass migration of Arabs, Pakistanis, and Afghans to Europe whose population has astronomically risen to become a force on its own. This doesn’t make non-church going Christian Europeans to become muslim.

Additionally, the young black and white guys in Paris suburb you mentioned are typically those who either married muslim ladies like Ribery, Abidal etc or those who joined hardcore groups like ISIS.

You are very irredeemable.. Smh
West Africa is not 70% Muslim. I can give Islam 40% in West Africa and Christianity 60%.
The population of Nigeria alone is 50% of west Africa and Christians make up 58% while Islam 42%. Now countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry and Cape Verde are majority Christians. While countries like Senegal, Gambia, Mauritania, Mali, and Niger are muslim majority.

Since the West African population density lies in the coastal areas while the northern section is arid, this mean that Christanity is the major religion by population and also by number of countries in West Africa.

Aba is bigger than Onitsha even if you add Onitsha metro. No argument about this. Every industry you have in Lagos has it's annex in Aba. In fact, Aba was even developed to connect with PH and serve as a metropolis like New York & Jersey. But the civil war twarted that intention. However, the like of Rotimi Amaechi seeing the masterplan of Okpara began to revive that dream with the Greater Port Harcourt City plan which aims to reconnect PH to the hinterlands cities of Aba and Owerri. It was Amaechi who dualized and pushed the Ikwerre Road to link Owerri making it a federal road. Aba to PH has existing dual express road so the metroplis idea to Aba has already been in existence.

Nope, Brig Ike Nkwachukwu drew the modern Aba Master Plan just like he did for Owerri.

However, Sam Mbakwe ensured that it followed strict adherence and expanded it into new territories the same way he did in Owerri capital. For example, in old Imo, Owerri was planned to host the administrative buildings and tourism, while Aba was developed to host the industries. It's similar to what played out in old Anambra. Enugu the administrative capital while Onitsha was for commerce and industry.

I for once think the planning and development might be the handiwork of the NCNC under Zik and Okpara looking at how PH, Calabar, Enugu, Aba, Onitsha, Owerri, Umuahia, Ikom, Oguta, Nsukka, Bonny & Yenagoa were planned.
