franklysco: easyman, waiting is really frustrating, right? How many schools did you apply to? It seems you and I are in the same bus. I applied to 2 schools(OVGU magdeburg and universität leipzig) n no reponse from them yet. Am just wondering how late they can decide cos I just booked 4 sept 13th last night. God dey sha!

So frustrating blood. I applied 2 schools(Jena n Marburg), Jena says in 2weeks time and Marburg says mid Aug. I have re-scheduled my appointment date from 5th Aug.-4th Sept. I don start another application process and if nothing till end of august will start sending for summer semester.no time.

netboy2013: I've got my admission letter from Jena for an M.sc program more than one month ago.

May be you contact the masters service center to inquire on the status of your application

Nimakor: @Franklysco i have been given a provisional offer pending on the arrival of my hardcopies and TOEFL from ETS. I have been deliberating for weeks. I am all for research work and just not confortable with the whole practice based stuff...hence the delay.
@Easyemman . Hmmm. where/how did you come about such information. I havent been able to get any concrete info from Jena. Heard some Indian guys talking abt being interviewed for the program i applied. I was not contacted for anything like that. Although, in the selection procedure they stated that an interview may be required depending on the number of applicants.
Did they update your portal or something?

topeajis: University of applied science focus more on practical and their masters program is always short like 18months but for most universities it's 2yrs.. And with a msc from university of applied sciences can't do a phd. U have to do another Macon a university. Also university of applied science don't offer phd program... At easymemman waitin they ma boss uknw even update me again.....

I called the lady despite the fact that she was speaking big big german I was able to grab that line I told you. You can also call if you would want to confirm.+493641931165.

i have an offer for a Master program in Bonn-Rhein Sieg university of Applied Science but have so far not sent the required documents. i would have prefered University of Jena ( research based) against this one which is practice based. But Jena has not said anything thus far and time is moving apace.
i would like to get some information concerning the quaility of universities of applied science (Hochschules) or this particular University as i intend to forward the docs nxt week. Cheers.

Fachhochschule is like polytechnic so u do most things practically.
As for Jena, they said they got lots of application so they are still sorting.

Jena says they have lots of applications and they are still working on them and Marburg says till mid Aug.before a decision will be made.
I hope to cancel my appointment today or so.

Pple did it and passed... Infact during my set in Goethe 2 guys learnt german on deir own n came for d exams, dey got Ausreichend.

Nimakor: Seriously! I applied for a Master program at the university of Jena and my program's deadline was May 31. It is very ungerman ( i would suppose) that i have not heard any update till date. Speechless.
Dont just see the reality of booking with so much uncertainty hovering.

Just be online from 10-11pm refresh the site and make sure the internet is fast. U will see more than 10 options to choose from. All the best.

U can still book earlier date just make sure your internet is fast n open the site around 10 to 11. I booked 5th of aug. Bt don't tink I can make it cos I neva still hear from the skools I apply.

franklysco: Pls house, I have a name issue on my waec certificate and testimonial. On both of them is "Ogidi chukwudi Franklyn" instead of "Ogidi Chukwudi franklin", which is on other document altho other data remains d same. The thing is I got this cert n testimonial 10 years ago. D error may have been from my folks n I dint think it was significant enough to be an issue until now. What do I do? Can it be covered with a sworn affidavit? Pls I need suggestion

Go to court for affidavit...that can help I am sure.

simply book an appointment at the end of august or beginning of september at least a decision would have been made by then and you can also cancel your appointment 2 days before the interview. all the best.
