A. Kneeling Kickback
Steps
Kneel on the floor and assume the push-up position with your knees parallel to your pelvis.
Let your knees and palms support your body weight.
Now, bring your right knee to your chest and then kick back, as high as you can.
Repeat this with your left leg.
Do the set for 10 times.
B. Scissor Kicks.
Steps
Lie on your back on a mat. Extend your arms fully, with your palms facing down.
Lift both your legs slowly so that your heels are off the ground.
Now, lift your right leg to an angle of 45 degrees and lower the left leg till it is about 3-4 inches from the ground.
Alternate the movements between your right and left legs.
Repeat at least 15 times.
C. Leg Lift
Steps
Lie down on the mat with your legs straight in the air.
With your hands and arms flat on the mat, raise your hips off the ground.
Hold for five seconds.
Repeat 10 to 15 times with both the legs.
D. Pliè Squat
Steps
Stand with your feet spread shoulder width apart.
Make sure the toes point outwards.
Bring your hands to the front to maintain the body’s balance.
Lower your body to a squat till your buttocks are just above the feet.
Squeeze your glutes and thighs further while getting back to the initial position.
Other exercise includes

NUTRITION
Eat well, carbohydrates, protein and fat. yeah fat, we have good fat and bad fat. Well, a good balanced diet also work wonders.

Fashion and style is also one of the method to increase your hip size. Your style also goes a long way in making your hips look big or your waist small. Some of the most efficient fashion styles to accentuate the size of your body include:
Wear corsets
Try body-shaping underwear
Avoid low-rise pants. Even if you are fit, a small pair of jeans or low rise pants will make it look like you have a muffin top
Wear A-line dresses
Remember that without exercise you will not see results, and you can even put on weight.

The security operatives yesterday morning intercepted 300 ,000 cartridges that were smuggled into Nigeria through the Benin Republic border . The cartridges were concealed in a false base of three heavy-duty trucks and had successfully gone past borders until they were intercepted at Igbogila -Ilara area of Ogun State .Although the drivers and crew members fled, upon closer inspection , the trucks were deemed empty until the security operatives unearthed the large cache of ammunition . When they opened the metal cover, hundreds of cartons of cartridges of the 12 - calibre were found concealed underneath.
Revelations have , however , emerged on how the unknown smugglers , allegedly aided by some policemen , tried to deceive security operatives to smuggle the three truckloads of arms and ammunition into the country , through the Ogun State land border .The smugglers had declared the trucks as empty with the aim of deceiving officials of the Nigerian Customs Service at Owode - Ilaro Road in Ogun , but the officers suspected foul play and played smart on the smugglers ’ team , which include some policemen in uniform.

The Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) governorship candidate , Professor Kolapo Olusola, has chided the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) over allegation that Governor Ayodele Fayose had compromised the National Youths Service Corps ( NYSC ) .
In a statement yesterday by the Kolapo Olusola Campaign Organisation ( KOCO ) through its Director of Media and Publicity , Lere Olayinka, it said the allegation was the height of wickedness and hatred for Nigerians working as heads of federal agencies in Ekiti State , as they were always at the receiving end of APC ’s ‘ politics of bitterness .’
KOCO said the party ’s action was a sign that it was already smelling defeat in the July 14 election and desperately lying against credible Nigerians , who may have refused to be compromised .
It stated this in reaction to APC ’s allegation of ‘ mutual liaisons at night meetings ’ between Fayose and the Ekiti State Coordinator of the NYSC , Mrs . Nwanu Eze Ukagha.
“We are not unmindful of the possibility that in their usual characteristic , the APC must have tried to induce the NYSC Director with money to do their bidding and the woman refused , thus prompting the blackmail .
“We , therefore, advise that the APC should go beyond writing petitions to calling for the transfer of heads of federal agencies in Ekiti .
“They can go ahead and engineer the transfer of offices and buildings of the agencies, but that won ’t prevent it from being defeated ,” the statement reads.
In a related development , the crisis in the Bayelsa chapter of the APC may not be over yet , as stakeholders have rejected the parallel congresses allegedly held at the instance of former Governor Timipre Sylva and Minister of State for Agriculture , Heineken Lokpobiri .
The stakeholders , who met with the John Odigie – Oyegun -led National Working Committee ( NWC) , described the congresses involving the two political gladiators , as illegal and unknown to the party constitution .
Led by Chief Nestor Ibinabo , the members accused the duo of holding parallel wards, councils and state congresses in their private homes where they wrote names of their anointed candidates to fill various party positions .
They, therefore, insisted that the congresses organised by the officials from the National Secretariat and witnessed by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) , remained the authentic and recognised ones in the state .
Meanwhile, a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt has nullified APC ’s wards , councils and state congresses.
Some disgruntled party members had challenged the outcome of the ward congresses in the state on May 5 , 2018 .
On this basis , the court issued an interlocutory injunction restraining the party from using the results of the congress to organise the local government congress in the state .
Justice Chiwendu Nwogu nullified the result of the exercise held on May 5 and May 8 , 2018 respectively .

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday insisted that his government’s commitment to fighting corruption was not negotiable and touted the endorsement of his effort by individuals and international bodies.

Buhari government came into power on the wings of promises to reposition the country by fighting corruption, improving security and remodelling the economy.

“Three years into this administration, Nigerians and the international community have begun to applaud our policies and determination to fight corruption,” Buhari said in a televised address to mark the nineteenth anniversary of Nigeria’s return to democracy and the third year of his administration.

“We are more than ever before determined to win this war, however hard the road is.”

His government’s war against graft has polarised opinions with his core touting the gains made in the last years.

While there have been several seizures and court-ordered forfeitures, no high-profile conviction has been made.

The government in March and April published names of individuals it claimed stole public funds under the Goodluck Jonathan administration. Some of the persons named on the two lists are currently standing trials.

But the opposition, whose members’ names were published, maintained the government has been selective in its prosecution of suspected public fund thieves. It accused the ruling APC of corruption.

“The APC Federal Government has manifested its frenzy by going after matters that are in court and in which none of the persons has been convicted,” PDP’s spokesman Kola Ologbodiyan said in a statement in March.

“Since the APC has decided to draw this attack, we will no longer hold back but appropriately commence a serialization of all looters hiding in APC and the Presidency,” he said.

However, Buhari insisted that the various policy measures already put in place to stem the tide of corrupt practices were already “yielding remarkable results.”

“The Treasury Single Account (TSA) has realised billions of Naira being saved from maintenance fee payable to banks,” he said.

“N200 Billion has also been saved from elimination of ghost workers in public service.

“The Whistle-Blowing Policy has helped to recover over N500 Billion.”

Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) , Prof . Attahiru Jega , says the road leading to the 2019 general elections portends danger .Delivering a 2018 Democracy Day lecture yesterday in Abuja, Jega cited the violence which characterised the recent party congresses in some states . He , therefore, called on the Federal Government to nib the development in the bud.
The erstwhile vice chancellor of Bayero University , Kano ( BUK ) called on security agencies to imbibe professionalism, neutrality and impartiality in the course of discharging their duties.He noted that the relative success recorded during the 2015 polls was made possible by the active engagement of what he called the “inter -agency consultative committee and the commitment of the security agencies to do their best under very difficult circumstances.”
Jega added : “I am not saying there were no bridges , in fact with the benefit of hindsight , there were many bridges but there were professionalism and neutrality during the 2015 general elections .Admitting that that the electoral umpire was currently confronted with challenges, he noted that the violence recorded during the congresses of the parties spells great danger for the nation .
Jega regretted that the inability of political parties to observe internal democracy and conduct peaceful congresses was a dangerous sign to what to expect in next year ’s elections .Besides , he deplored the increasing hate speeches by politicians , opinion and religious leaders , saying they were capable of igniting violence.His words : “If political parties cannot organise their internal elections peacefully , how can they engage the other parties with civility in the general elections ? It is very important that this is addressed because if there is crisis in the elections , some of these issues are outside the scope of the electoral commission but in the end it is the electoral commission that gets the blame .
“It is very important that we improve our systemic mechanisms of addressing violence and conflicts related to elections and in particular , improving the score of internal democracy within political parties.“We may be running out of time , we must try harder and do everything possible within the shortest time .
“The second thing that needs to be addressed is the spate of hate speeches by political actors, religious leaders . These unbridled utterances by opinion leaders , religious leaders and political leaders facilitate electoral violence during general elections . So , the trend has to be tamed. “Again , we must ensure that the rule of law is complied with. So , it is very important to check this challenge. Otherwise , the integrity of the 2019 elections would be undermined .”
Jega urged those he described as “more patriotic, democratic , and well meaning Nigerians ” to speak against hate speeches while government puts in place measures to identify and prosecute those that constitute nuisance. He also expressed worry over the de lay in the passage of the amended Electoral Act , stressing the need for “a much better electoral legal framework in place for the 2019 general elections than we had in 2015. This is very important .
“Of course, there are many other aspects of the Electoral Act which are contradictory to party democracy . ” He equally advised the Federal Government to stop being reactive to reports from Transparency International and other rights groups .

Members of Global Right and Civil Society groups yesterday in Abuja marked the ‘National Day of Mourning ’ for all victims killed across the country . Emotions were freely betrayed as Nigerians from all walks of life converged on the Unity Fountain to mourn and remember the victims of various violent killings across the country .
Clad in black T -shirts with the inscription # OneDeathTooMany , the mourners held flowers as a sign of honour to the departed, many of them weeping profusely in public. Members of civil society groups , human rights activists and family members of the victims were in attendance to remember those who have lost their lives in extra- judicial killings , herdsmen , kidnappers and armed robbery attacks.
According to Prof . Chidi Odinkalu, the convener and former chairman , National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC ) , the essence of the event was to show solidarity to and console the grieving communities across the country .
“The government is losing territory to armed bandits who are killing Nigerians and the same government who should lead us against these things are now the ones dividing Nigerians ,” he said .Also , a multimedia and human rights group in South Africa , White Coat Center, has urged the Federal Government to take immediate actions against incessant killings in the country . In a letter signed by its founder , Mr . Adebayo Okeowo , to commemorate the national day of mourning, the group said it is displeased with the manner in which the government has handled the loss of lives with no urgency to stop killings of innocent Nigerians .
The group also pleaded with the government to put better policies in place to safeguard Nigerians in the diaspora , citing cases of xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa . “ We need the government to show that it cares by holding to account those responsible for every senseless killing that has the nation grieving from North to South, East to West ”.
In the same vein, Enough Is Enough Nigeria group stated that killings have risen drastically in recent times , as Nigerians wake up daily to fresh news of mass atrocities, which have become a norm in the country .
According to the group about 1, 878 persons have been killed in Benue State , 222 disappeared and 750 grievously wounded and has affected 12 local government areas and more than 10 per cent of Benue State ’s population between 2013 and 2016. The group also stated that in the first 70 days of 2018, over 1, 400 person were killed violently across the country , an average of nearly 40 per state and the Federal Capital Territory .
“Extra -judicial killings of Nigerians in the hands of uniformed services are reported to be in thousands annually . If our politicians are not going to provide leadership in addressing it, then we have a duty to say enough is enough !”

A Malian migrant who scaled a Paris apartment block to save a four-year-old child was hailed Monday as an “example” by President Emmanuel Macron, who welcomed him to the presidential palace and offered him citizenship.

Two days after his daring rescue viewed millions of times online Mamoudou Gassama, nicknamed “Spiderman” by French media for his astonishing climbing ability, met Macron in the splendour of the Elysee Palace.

“You have become an example because millions of people have seen you. It is only right that the nation be grateful,” Macron told the 22-year-old, adding that his immigration status would be “put in order”.

However several aid groups accused the president of “political exploitation”, “hypocrisy” and covering up a harsh policy towards migrants.

Macron, who presented him with a medal for bravery, also offered him a job with the fire service.

“I did not think twice. I went straight up,” said the sporty youth, who wore jeans and a short-sleeved shirt to the encounter, explaining his climb.

Gassama was also congratulated by Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who phoned him at the Paris embassy to congratulate him “for honouring all of Mali,” the embassy said.

His act of heroism comes as lawmakers debate a controversial bill that would speed up the deportation of economic migrants and failed asylum-seekers, thousands of whom live in squalid camps in the capital.

“There’s a general feeling of shameful political exploitation,” said Jean-Claude Mas, secretary general of La Cimade, which defends migrants.

“It raises a lot of questions when you know what this government is doing.”

“There’s a bit of hypocrisy or cynicism,” added Claire Rodier of GISTI which supports immigrants, noting “the contrast with the repressive policy of this government against migrants and those without documents.”

Gassama has been living illegally in France and working in construction since arriving in September last year following a perilous journey from his homeland to Libya then Italy.

Macron, a centrist, has taken a tough line on economic migrants fleeing poverty rather than refugees escaping war or persecution.

But Gassama’s “exceptional act of heroism” warranted an “exceptional decision”, he said Monday.

He leapt into action Saturday evening on seeing the child dangling from the fourth-storey balcony of an apartment in the 18th district.

The video shows Gassama swiftly pulling himself up from balcony to balcony to reach the boy, to the cheers of onlookers.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the child, whose parents were not at home, had already been rescued.

A shy figure who was accompanied to the Elysee Palace by his older brother, Gassama said he had acted instinctively.

‘Incredibly brave act’ 
“I saved the child and then went inside the building and I was shaking,” he told Macron.

Reacting to his awards he said later: “I’m pleased because it’s the first time I’ve received a trophy like that.”

Gassama’s story instantly drew comparisons with that of another Malian migrant who was feted as a hero and given citizenship for helping save lives during a January 2015 terror attack.

Lassana Bathily helped hide hostages in the freezer during a jihadist attack on a Jewish supermarket in Paris, in which four people were killed.

Confirming to Gassama his French citizenship, Macron said: “Even if you did not think about what you were doing it was an act of courage and strength that won the admiration of all.”

But in a warning to other African migrants he said he “can not give (papers) to all those who come from Mali or Burkina Faso” — two of the countries from where thousands set out each year for Europe on a perilous journey across the desert and Mediterranean Sea.

Across the political class Gassama received plaudits.

But a senior member of the anti-immigration National Front, Nicolas Bay, said that while he supported Gassama becoming French all other illegal migrants should be deported.

Passers-by raised the alarm Saturday on noticing the little boy hanging in mid-air.

“Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and get the child,” a fire service spokesman said.The boy’s father, who was reportedly out shopping, was arrested for leaving him unattended. His mother was abroad.

The Socialist mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, was among the politicians lining up to phone Gassama to thank him.”He explained to me that he had arrived from Mali a few months ago dreaming of building his life here,” she said.

On Monday, he was made an honorary citizen of the eastern suburb of Montreuil, where he had been sleeping on the floor in a cramped room shared with relatives at a migrant hostel.The fire department said it looked forward to him joining the ranks.”We are ready to welcome him on board!” it said.

7.Unrealistic Expectations from In-laws
Some parents have set certain standards for anyone who will marry their child, either way be it that such expectations are from the groom parent’s or bride, the regulations sometimes affect relationships. If the expectations are behavioral, the challenge might be little but e are some discouraging situations where parents decide the profession qualifications, properties, etc that must be acquired by the suitor before they can give out their child to him in marriage.
8.Trust issues
Most times, people fear to get committed into a relationship because of trust issues. Some men have been bruised in their past relationships and therefore they don’t want to put themselves out there.
9.Bad Testimonies from Married couple
Generally, most men get intimidated by marriage as a result of the testimonies they hear from those in marriage. Before getting into marriage talks, it is a common thing among men to ask their brothers, friends who are already married on how the social institution is and the testimonies they get are most times discouraging, as such they fear their marriage will be a replica of the testimonies they have gathered.
10.Cultural limitations
Nigeria is a country with diverse culture and The diversity sometimes create challenges for men who are in search of women with similar culture. The good thing though is that those who endeavor to explore inter-cultural relationships get the opportunity to gain an in-depth appreciation of other customs.
