mrvitalis: these people self ...we the masses are the basic problem
we have over 11 million cars in Nigeria
I don't see any reason why government can't tax them an average of 200k every year to fix our roads
All this dangote and ibeto trucks and all this petrol tankers should pay nothing less than 800k a year as road tax
That's over 2.2 trillion and all our roads will be fixed in maximum of 5 years and this will create massive employment grow agregate demand and grow gdp
The revenue of the government is too small to run Nigeria See them, it's buhari's turn and you suddenly know revenue is small. Oga nobody is paying anything. It's either you ask PMB to fix it or accuse him of looting! After all PMB said there is enuf money to go round and even pay the poorest 5k. After you remove subsidy, triple NEPA bill, stamp duty and all the other payables you are calculating road tax. Prof please shelf this opinion. |

EFOLK5: With the above steps, our App is ready for release. But what do we stand to gain by publishing this App for ppl to download and enjoy free of charge, after all the effort put in to the design? This is why we need to monetize the App to generate revenue from usage. There are about five(5) Ad network that are compartible with Appsmoment system. but for the purpose of this app, I'll work with Admob. Admob is a google ad network, specifically for App monetization. Admob is to developers, what Adsence is to bloggers. but the big one here is that it's much easier to earn with admob than Adsence. you'll need to work very hard as a blogger to build your reputation for ur blog to earn Adsence aproval, but the prctise we've created can start generating revenue for imediately. To sign up for admob you need a Gmail account. visit http://www.google.com/admob follow the simple steps to complete your sign up for free. sellect sms verification, enter ur phone number, n submit. A five(5) digit verification code will be sent to ur phone, use that code to verify ur account at the final stage. Stay tuned, I'll be back with "HOW TO CREAT CAMPAIGN" in my next post. Thanks Abg I can't wait ooo. I get idea already, Pls help us tomorrow. |

AnonyNymous: From the posts that have replied so far. . .I'm starting to think you're right and there's no reason for hating him. All of the commenters so far have dropped variations of the same things people say against El Rufai without providing actual instances of him openly showing hatred to people of other tribes or religions. It seems like people just joined the train of hatred because he's an APC member. . .or.maybe because he's from the North. I just want someone to tell me what he did wrong and then let me judge for myself. That's all. But nobody commenting has done that. OK what he's done wrong? A propagandist! From his posts pre-2015. His posts pre-2011. He literally warms up to interest and not patriotism. A liar! This is almost same with being a propagandist just a little different. A bigot! This one is obvious in all his interviews. He paid herdsmen huge sums to do what exactly? Your guess is as good as mine. His house racketeering in Abuja can best be described by his boss Obj. |

It's about the fact that Adamawa reminds the girls of Boko Haram. But, then, can you people understand that since you don't know what trauma is? Adamawa reminds the girls of Boko Haram? I believe you thought that out very well. You understand how trauma works or you just want to blab? Those girls can even school in Maiduguri, the experience was in Chibok! Adminisher: Please forget Jona. Even in the PDP as President there thousands of people better than him. He himself said so. Nobody is comparing an A level teacher turned deputy governor and VP to ex Head of State, ex Governor and ex Petroleum minister. If you are too young or you don't know we will educate you. If I am too young? An A level teacher? Indeed Awolowo said "he who holds the gun, holds power." PMB is a mistake and as a mature man I expect you to understand that side by side the ex dictator is intellectually deficient when compared with GEJ. Even his colleagues attest to that. You want to educate them too? |
Politics › Re: Corruption Was Not Responsible For The Reccesion Afterall by Eazybay(m): 4:34pm On Sep 05, 2017 |
Adminisher: You need to be psychologically affected by the war against corruption to be saying this. Are you corrupt?. Do you have family or tribe members who are corrupt?
APC did not blame recession on CORRUPTION !!!
Recession was caused by having a dumb President who did not use HIGH OIL prices to diversify the economy from oil and unfortunately the oil prices later CRASHED.
Corruption made the recession (which would have come anyway due to Jonathan's policies) worse but it was not the main cause of recession. Jonathan was not even able to collect taxes ...unbelieveable. Nigeria also lost a lot of money to corruption which is almost $400bn
If we don't diversify the economy today and oil prices get high we might have 8% growth again and if the price is high enough maybe corruption effect won't be that high then we will become STUPID again. A lot of peeps can't really talk about buhari without Jonathan in d mix. Even his aides! Does that suggest some form of insecurity and inferiority complex? They are still trying hard to convince you you made the right decision. Does that sound normal? |
Politics › Re: Appointments In NNPC: Ohanaeze, Afenifere, PANDEF, Senators, Others Kick by Eazybay(m): 6:11pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
9jakohai: The trickle-down idea was not far from my mind even as I was writing my original post....that's true.
But at the end of the day...how many people does it benefit? Probably not up to a hundred.
A major annoyance I have with Nigeria is that we too dey rely on government for jobs....which is why I back industries. Yes it is hard setting them up. But that is the only way we can generate jobs et al.Dangote has generated far more jobs as a manufacturer than he did when he was (in my mother's words) a 'mere importer'. Even the US relies on the govt for jobs. The biz climate in Naija is worse. Dangote enjoys govt support, as such he's a bad example. It's easier to set up a business in d Gaza strip than Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Appointments In NNPC: Ohanaeze, Afenifere, PANDEF, Senators, Others Kick by Eazybay(m): 11:36am On Sep 04, 2017 |
9jakohai: Here is my take on the appointments.
1.My own is that 'Are the men qualified for the job they have been appointed for'? Because it seems to me that most people seem to equate being a Southerner with being educated and qualifed, while a Northerner is viewed as 'an inefficient quota appointee'. If the rationale for opposition to the men's appointment is tribe, and not qualificaiton for the job, then that is just plain bigotry.
2.ON the other hand, there is a reason why we have Federal Character laws in this country, and if the appointments violate federal character laws, the men must be removed.
3.And why are we Southerners grumbling? How many people have benefited from appointments made to NNPC when SOutherners held the top jobs? How many Northerners would benefit from the jobs given to these guys. Has the North benefited much from these appointments. As far as I know, the North would still be broke when these guys leave the job at the end of their tenures...the same way most of the NIger Delta is still broke despite having many people from the Delta running the NNPC since inception.
4.Seriously, I am tired of all these people making tribal arguments about jobs. Many of us Southerners live in poverty because of corrupt leaders at all levels, and yet, we expect that a few appointments to NNPC would save us? We claim that we are educated , yet we cannot use our education to actually develop things that would make us super rich. Did Dangote or Innoson work for NNPC before they made it?
5.And the Northerners who are going to defend these appointments? What has having the North in power all these years done for you people? The NOrth is still backward and poor. And see how the result of that poverty....BOko is affecting you! Will a few appointments of Northerners to NNPC top jobs help the North? Or just a few privileged ones?
Honestly I am tired of Nigerians. We have more serious issues than NNPC Job appointments. We have the potential to become a powerful manufacturing nation , producing companies that would make billions more than we are making from fuel. And instead of taking measures to achieve that goal....we are here arguing about job wey no go benefit anyone.
Call me a Zombie, call me anti-North....but it is high time we Nigerians woke up and sorted ourselves out. Otherwise we will continue in our poverty....Northerners and Southerners. You almost made sense, I mean in totality. You genuinely forgot the trickle down effect in this detailed explanation. If they fix themselves in the board, they fix their cronies in the job positions. If u get someone there, you stand a chance. Manufacturing as it is requires HUGE capital. No one would crowd funding you and no one is ready to loan or invest in you. Take a good look around, besides SOME political jobbers many of the wealthy biz men you see got their startup capital from working in SANE countries. |

Guess what even the minesweeper and bomb detectors you see. The anti bomb squad was made fully functional and operational in 2006. You see, the weapons were so bad but PMB begged them to manage. Right now he has given them something from the presidential fleet, one pukshak trainer plane and they are using it to deal with Shekau. I didn't know US now writes its report based on aljazeera reports ... in any case insurgency are hard to defeat the current administration has done light years of good compared to GEJ misguided tactics of diverting funds for elections. The current administration has dislodged BH from its fotress in sambisa... taking the war to BH and has effectively deprived of all its territorial gains without any outside intervention. I know people like omooba77 are praying ceaselessly for BH to win but glory be to God, Nigeria has triumped over them and will eventually bring a painful end to BH insurgency. An interesting thing to note GEJ recovered 0 chibok girl PMB has recovered over 120 of our stolen girls. A lot remains to be done but this article a poorly written conjecture that attributes it opinions to the US wants Nigeria to achieve in 2 years what the US government has not achieved in over 10 years of war in Iraq in addition to trillions wasted on military expenditure.
God bless the Nigerian Army
God bless PYO
God bless PMB
God bless Nigeria and destroy our enemied
Amen I would ask one question. How prepared was Nigeria for insurgency before GEJ? Defence spending remains unchanged but can you compare gej's acquisitions to pmb's? From warships to minesweeper to tanks to sniffer dogs to bomb detectors all over Nigeria.. GEJ is light years ahead of the Lion from Daura |
