The problem is not the manager but the country. You cannot ignore the obvious problems that have plagued Nigeria socially and economically for years and think that Nigeria can magically do well at the WC. Our league needs a massive overhauling to turn it into a PRODUCT that earns CAPITAL. It must be run efficiently so that the standard of Nigerian football within Nigeria gets better and becomes more competitive. Nigeria locals ought to be scrambling to play in the Nigerian league not looking for the out of Nigeria route.

I
Only then can Nigerian football unleash the kind of football players we once had. Van Gal will not help Nigeria because we have nothing in place that he can work with. We have no youth system thats productive yet we somehow win the youth WC cup which ought to say that Nigeria has the raw talent more so than any country in the world but we do not have the structure to get them to WC standard beyond 17.

So unless the manager comes in and does the impossible and radically changes the league, youth program then lets just forget it
av expoused on dis long before now as am a sucker for identifying d root cause of a problem before anytin else...it is important to fix dis before we will ever av a chance to even dominate african football less talk of world football....a short term fix is to ensure selection of coaches and players for all out youth set-up viz U-15,U-17,U-20 and olympic teams are done solely on merit and quality basis as dey form d bedrock of d pool of talents we can draw from for d senior team....am currently gutted wit d current choice of coach and team for our u-20 side as an exposed footballer like Finidi George
wud av added more value dan d recycled Paul Aigbogun wu is even combining such a serious job wit coaching a nigerian clubside!

Ighalo just had to score to ease off d pressure on our defence....he let d team down on dis one but by and large,we win as a team and lose as one....We must up our search for more quality players and build on this experience....a first round exit is hard to take but we would not av won d world cup anyways even if i just wanted us to get one over d argies.....calm down evry1...dis team ll find its balance and do well in d future!

I want us to win Argentina as the final nail in their coffin

It is imperative now more than ever that we destroy that team and their self esteem so much that their FA will disband the team after this World Cup.

Argentina does not deserve a place in the Round of 16. They have not worked for it or earned it. Just a bunch of overhyped, overpaid, spoilt brats who think everything

should be handed to them because they are Argentina

Nigeria will be doing the whole world a favour if we successfully beat that team. It never mattered all this time when they were winning us, but this is the most important game of their lives since these guys began to play together and this is the game to hurt them.

This is the defeat that will stay in their memories forever. And we have been handed the glorious opportunity to inflict this fatal wound. We must not make nonsense of it. There will be no better time

For the last three or so World Cups, at least one great team has crashed out in the group stage of the World Cup. Argentina must be that team this time.

These boys should destroy Argentina, for all of their predecessors who had to taste defeat over the years

And the best thing is, there will be no Enyeama to be following Messi to smile after conceding angry
My exact thoughts....been following dia fan forum on mundoalbiceleste.com.....a lot of dia fans are still extremely arrogant and dismissive of our team even if dey admit all is not well in dia camp.....dat team is average witout messi and is currently in shambles psychologically as a lot is working against dem right now....we must show dem no respect and work to stifle messi....sombody shud tell our boys to redeem d image of nigeria and beat dis shitty argentine team silly to avenge for all our painful losses to d argies....our team is a youthful side dat aint built around anyone....dats our joker unlike d messi led argentines...we av dis guys on a platter...we wont av a beta chance!

Our responsibility is to defend properly with great concentration on tuesday den hit dis arrogant average argentine team on d counter....messi ll remain a big threat so ll be dia other big players bt with a 3-5-2 formation,we av a greater chance of stifling them....our boys must take dis chance to announce demselves to d world by ousting d argies as d western media are still upbeat abt dem beating us....we need dis scalp n must want it more dan d argentines...dey av beaten us four times, lets inflict a serious wound on dem on tuesday....good luck to d bwoyz!

Firstly, congrats to the croats even if dey werent fantastic....Our Coach has been unneccessarily conservative.....d essence of friendly matches is to determine d best formation dat suits ur team....we in a very tough group n are doomed to play a 3-5-2 on the basis of our perfornance in d friendly matches as we were pathetic wen we played 4 at d back due to d seemingly lack of creativity in d team and judging by how pathetic the team played against serbia,england(1st half) and czech republic....d coach has to defend our pride and play our best team....i ll neva av an ebuehi on d bench for shehu and will play iwobi in d most creative role possible and will definitely find a way to defend set pieces beta...In all,not much was really expected from dis team despite d good preparations dey av had as d experience gap will definitely show up at some point....good luck to d team against iceland and d argies!

We are so concerned about age at Super Eagle level and world cup team..How old was Roger Milla when Cameroon made that history[quarter final]. If it is age group level, its ok..but this is a super eagle team that is going to world cup to reach semi-final...that is a our target.. We are not building a team for 2022 now..Our intention is to go far in this competition,if some thirty year olds ON FORM can bring us the cup...why not? We won the cup ,pure and simple...After winning all the old guys are dropped FOREVER from the team. We in are in the record books as a winner of world cup.. Then we start building a new team with left-over young guys, Pragmatism is real
grin grin.....d old guys can be dropped for forever!

I saw the assist(replay) It was beautiful. I started watching from the 75th min. The ball seemed to be running away from Etebo. I didn’t see him make contact with the ball though he was running up and down the field as usual.

The match is like Police team vs Barrack boys fc. They just wouldn’t let the ball settle on the field before sending it up in the air again.

It was bad to watch. The stand out guy was one ugly black boy for Celta Vigo that look like Taye Taiwo’s uncle.

Etebo should be happy to have done well against Barca. If I was Rohr watching him for the first time, I’ll blacklist him. Dude was running upandan like a gala seller in a busy ojuelegba traffic.
Smiles.....u saw d game kinda late.....games at dat stage can become drab especially with teams scrapping for points for survival....Las Palmas played an high press from d begining as celta tend to build dia attack from d defence....it was a test of physical n mental fitness as it was an high tempo game....it wasnt as bad as u descibed it n witout any exagerration, dat etebo dude has loads of energy to burn with a great footballing sense to go wit it!

TheGoodJoe:
Ajiboye is no way rated among the top best goalies in the World. If that is grooming well in your books, no problem.

How can you ask about Spanish National team and grooming De Gea. You are clearly off track. Get the point.

The Europeans have a system that helps in grooming their top talents. We have been fortunate to have some of our special talent groomed in the same system. Iheanacho is a clear case.

Some of our special talents will not have the opportunity to get into such system, and we need to make conscious efforts to help groom and expose them.

Ajiboye was outstanding. We do not produce keepers like him regularly but we did not make efforts to help him grow despite his immense talent. We should do more.

The point is too simple.

Vanzekin is and was no where in talent close to Akpan Bassey, let alone Ajiboye. I wonder why you are bringing him into the picture.
Agree with u on vanzekim.....he was a decent goalkeeper but Ajiboye was top notch!

TheGoodJoe:

I keep pointing out how we are the authors of our misfortune. After such heroics in the U17, we owed ourselves the duty of helping Ajiboye grow but we did not. This was a young man who was rated above David De Gea in the U17 World Cup.

We need to do more to support our potential talents. The Euro will not do all for us.

We need to kick of a team B Super Eagles after the World Cup, made of young promising talents, both home based and foreign based. Let them play friendlies during international break and those who show more promise than those in the senior team given a chance to prove themselves.
I think it begins with improving d standards of our local league through a solid developmental stucture. Players will develop beta and will move abroad not just for d money bt to teams dat dey are sure will advance dia careers.....the competition for places will be stiffer and dis will impact positively on our national team. The poor state of our league is wat av given rise to d huge gap between local n foreign based players as we used to av players from our local leagues work straight into the national team in d 90's!

The FA may not necessarily take responsibility to develop individual players but dey just av to provide d enabling environment to allow all budding talents to thrive. This is a beta approach dan setting up a Team B as it will be more lasting and benefit every special talent!

The coaches also av to be encouraged to shun nepotism in dia selection process as dis is one big cog in d wheel of development of players in our league....too much sentiment is involved in selection of players in our league.

Just curious how do you make a request on the Uber app without stating your destination. I have used Uber a couple of times and the first thing the app displays is "Where to", which is my destination.

U r correct about d app prompting u to input ur destination but even if u dont, u can still make d request...u can give it a try.....as u rightly pointed out, inputing ur destination will enable d app give u an estimate of d trip and of course d driver ll av an idea of were he is going to b4 he proceeds for d trip....
Nairaland GeneralRe: Henry Chukwuemeka, Taxify Driver Sues Dorcas Shola Fapson For N5M by eazyjakes(m): 8:19pm On Jan 27, 2018
FreshBoiy:

I have asked the same questions myself and some folks on IG say its possible to order a cab on the Taxify app without putting a destination.

If this is the case, the real question would be why isn't anyone questioning Taxify for running a taxi service that allows passengers order for a cab without inputting a destination. How then do you even know the estimated cost of your trip?

But then again both sides of the story are completely different. While DSF claims he asked if he could make it an offline trip to which she said NO. In his own account he claimed she didn't give him a destination when he asked her. What might actually be his "undoing" would be the fact that he then decided to drive her to his house.
Inputing ur destination is optional, if u care less about d cost of d trip, u wont bother about putting ur destination, it dosent prevent u from being able to make a request. It becomes discretionary for the driver to proceed to meet u up or cancel!

thatigboman:
the guy's opening statement is even a pure lie. How can taxify app connect you to a driver if you didnt state your destination?
To state ur destination is optional and not a prerequisite for making a request on d uber/taxify app....I rarely state my destination especially if am going to a far distance or traffic prone area so as not to discourage the driver from coming!
