Please publish the prices of your paints. I am interested. |
I deem it necessary to update all the Nairalanders who have read or contributed to this issue. My tiles were eventually delivered three weeks ago after paying an additional NGN 30,000 for transportation. This is contrary to the promise made by Aysometin in her last response on this issue. I guess that Aysometin tried to convince her husband on the issue but was not successful. However, I would have expected her to brief the forum on her effort and the final decision. Keeping quite is not the best. Anyway, I believe Nairalanders will learn from this. It is NGN 30,000 for this case, it can be NGN 300,000 for the next case. So, beware. |
Where is Ocean Garden Estate? Please describe the exact location. |
Please confirm if Apata Ajayi Estate in Lekki will satisfy your criteria. Also, must the three plots be adjacent to each other? |
I did not want to write much in order not to take much of the time of the people reading this trend; however, with all the responses, I need to clarify the issue. When I sealed the deal with Ayosmetin's husband, my impression was that the deal includes transportation. He later requested for a transportation fee of 35K. I offered him 20K and he later reduced it to 30K. After a lenghty deliberation, I sealed the deal at 25K. The deal is to transport the whole tiles irrespective of if he decides to use a small truck in two batches or a big truck in one batch. He eventually opted for a small truck for two batches. Are you saying that the money I paid for transporting the whole tiles has been spent on the first batch? Please let me know if you are asking me to increase the money to the 35K your husband originally requested or the 30K he requested later. The lesson learnt here is that if your husband believes that the transportation fee being offered by customer is not reasonable, he could as well turn down the deal. Again, if the 5K or 10K difference in transportation fee is what has been delaying the delivery of goods worth more than 1.5M for almost 7 weeks, then, it is a surprise to me. For your information, I am hearing different story from Olumide. I will leave it to Nairalanders who to believe and close this chapter. |
Aysometin I will leave the matter to the nairalanders to judge. I had a deal for tiles and transportation with your husband. You are now telling me after 7 weeks that the amount I paid for transportation is too small; hence, you cannot deliver the tiles. I bought tiles worth over NGN 1.5M from your husband. This is an excellent customer service. Please keep it up. I will update nairalander when my tiles are delivered so that everybody can know how long it takes you to deliver goods after payment. |
Aysometin, No doubt that you have good products; however, your delivery service is very very poor. I paid over 1.5M for tiles (including transportation) in the first week of December, 2008; your guy has only delivered half of the tiles up till today. This attitude is not good for nairalanders. Please talk to your guy. I will update nairalanders once my tiles are delivered. You can contact me personally on adeyinka@telus.net. |
I have a plot of land for sale at Apata Ajayi Estate, Lekki (after Crown Estate). The land has a Governor Consent (alias C of O). If you are interested, send me an email at adeyinka@telus.net |
I have a plot of land (with Governor Consent alias C of O) for sale at Apata Ajayi Estate, Lekki. The estate is located immediately after Crown Estate. Interested buyer should please contact me through my email address adeyinka@telus.net |
I support appointing LAWYER as the moderator. |
Thanks Lawyer. I did my Governor Consent this year. Two members of the omo-onile family signed my Deed; hence, I was asked to pay tax fee for both of them as well as for my wife and myself because the land was in Mr. and Mrs. name. |
Umanahjj Please stop diluting all topics with your message. You could have created a new topic for your advert. |
Hakir, please see my new posting titles "Woodwork: Kitchen Cabinets, Wardrobes & Doors" |
Hello Nairalanders, I am just starting the finishing of my twin duplex at Lekki. Each wing of the duplex has 4 bedrooms, 1 kitchen and 14 doors. I need quotation for this woodwork. I will also like to see sample work from any interested person. |
I have sent my representative to your warehouse at Oregun. He was really impressed with what he saw. I have also spoken with Evan two times today. I am surely buying my tiles from you guys next week. |
Where is Ocean Garden Estate located? |
I am interested in the price list for tiles as well. Please the price list to my email. |
I discovered that my shares have been sold by my Stockbroker without my consent in 2005. I reported the case to NSE and CSCS. CSCS replied my letter that NSE will look into the case. I later learnt that the Stockbroker has been arrested by EFCC. In December 2007, I contacted CSCS for updates and I was told that EFCC has released the guy on a promise that he will buy the shares back for the respective owners. I have been following up with the guy since January 2008; he keeps promising with no action. I reported again to CSCS and NSE in August 2008. CSCS again sent a letter to NSE (copying me) to take action. I have heard nothing from NSE since the case started in 2005. can anybody advise me what to do? |
Thanks GUK. I will try and apply for a refund. I am not interested in dealing with a Government that doesn't have fair of God. If a Government can do this; then, it is an encouragement OMO ONILES to do worse. This ridiculous. |
Thanks GUK for sharing your experience. I bought Abijo GRA as well. I was asked to pay 1.5M within 90 days, I paid the money within 30 days. All of a sudden, I learnt that there was a mistake as Alausa and I was told the new price is 5.5M. Have you been able to collect your 1.5M back. Please enlighten because my 1.5M is still with then since 2002. |
Dr. Balogun, I am so disappointed that you can put this type of document on the internet. This is a disgrace to Lagos State Government. Please give us some explaination on this, otherwise, I will be obliged to escalate this issue. |
Thanks Lawyer. I have two receipts for the payment as I paid the money in two instalments within 30 days. I also have my allocation paper. Although, I did not use a lawyer for the transaction, I went to Alausa myself to pay for land. The next process was supposed to be application for C of O. I went to their office at Lekki behind Mobil House, I was told that Alausa made a mistake in terms of the price. The same thing happened to my friend. Note that there were several plots of land for sale at Abijo GRA then as that was the first time the Lagos State Government started selling Abijo GRA's lands. |
I would like to share my personal experience on this topic. I bought a plot of land at Abijo GRA, Lekki from Lagos State Government in 2002 at a cost on NGN 1.5M. We were asked to the total cost within 90 days. I eventually pay the total cost within 30 days. When I applied for C of O in 2004, I was told that the people at Alausa made a mistake in selling the land at a cost of NGN 1.5M. I was told the cost was supposed to be NGN 5M. My land has now been re-alloacted to someone else. The same thing happened to my friend. My lawyer wrote to them sometime this year. I was asked to come and pay the balance of NGN 3.5M. It is ridiculous. It is even riskier buying land from the Government than the so called 'Omo onile'.\ |
I need a furnished 3-4 bedroom accommodation in Lekki for December. I have checked with www.makeitnigeria.com, unfortuantely, all their available furnished accommodation are after VGC. I don't want to go beyond VGC. Any help will be appreciated. |
