Yes o, I tried something like that but it didn't work out well. I pleaded with a girl in my compound to teach me but,... my brother, I really regret everything.

This girl just dey use the opportunity they insult me whenever she is discussing with her friends in Urhobo.

I was just forming as though I don't understand d language at all. I understand some out of all what they discuss among themselves. I even heard all about their affairs with men. Whenever they start their gossips, I will just relax and pretend as though I have no idea of what they are discussing.

After a while, I felt it's of no use staying around with them.

It pains me so much to find myself in a situation when I'm expected to relate with people of same tribe, but the language couldn't just flow out of my mouth.


Sometimes, I put up with the excuse that it's not my fault na since I grew up in a town in Lagos state where you have neighborhood of mixed ethnic group.

As I'm typing this right now, ashame dey catch me no be small.

Pls, I need your contributions on how to speak my dialect--Urhobo-- fluently.

It shows low battery then it goes off whenever I am making calls and sometimes whenever I am connected to the internet even after charging it fully. and then when I switch on the phone it will show full battery but starts showing low battery then goes off
It has been this way for sometime now.

Can Airtel offer complete data subscription to Android & IOS users? If yes, then why not at this moment.
Though, I've been a customer to this network right from Vmobile to Airtel (since 2006), I would be tempted to migrate if any other network offered such package.
Come to think of it o, If such package is provided, Airtel would capture d heart of ALL Android & IOS users and that would amount to huge subscription to their network. In the long run, there would be huge profit from data subscriptions. Airtel should consider this before other network operators come in to it. Well, a word is enough for the W.I.S.E

I think the move by the IGP is a good one but towards a wrong direction.
A good one because he considers the fact that intelligence is needed to end the problem. Intelligence works with wisdom and as you know, wisdom is the principal thing in any situation of life. So, thats a good idea.
In a wrong direction because, I believe that an indigenious art is needed to tackle this menace. We dont expect the CIAs and other foreign agencies to come into the country for this mission because, they may use the opportunity to exploit other areas as well.
The IGP shud only use the CIAs and the likes for consultation purposes.
I suggest that we establish a solid inteligence agency in our country with services equivalent to that of the CIAs. They will work hand in hand with the JTF and the SSS. This Intelligence will mingle with the people to single out every information that will help entangle every move made by d enemy.

Good day diddgor, I'm a 300L medical student preparing for part1 mb. I was delighted when I read through your post. I thought I was the only medical student in Nairaland that has the zeal to take the USMLE while still in sch.
Well according the questions you raised, I believe it is possible to take step1 after Part2 mb exam(i.e path and pharm) because the yr2,3 and 4 of our curriculum here in Nigeria covers the USMLE step1 such as Anatomy, Pathology, Microbiology, Genetics or Molecular biology, Physiology, Biochemistry etc. except for Behavioural Science. You can confirm this from the usmle official website: usmle.org while the step 2 CK can be done after graduation (i.e during Houseman ship or later on) because its on O and G, Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery.
Also, there are lots of info that I got from many of the researches I did about the Usmle. I'll upload one of them for you to go through.
Dont bother to ask how I got to know all these because I have been on it before I started yr1. I wish many of our colleagues in school would learn to look ahead into the future so as to be developed for effective medical practice. My advice to you is "try do what you can do when the stuff is still fresh in the treasury" I believe you understand what I meant. Pls, this how far I can go for now.
