I'm so sorry ma for the late response. Did the Veterinarian tell you what was wrong with your dog? although I suspect Parvo. What I think is that your dog is reacting adversely to the gentalak medication since some of it side effect include nausea and vomiting. So I'll advice you go back to the Vet and complain, he will probably administer metronidazole (for secondary bacterial infection and for the stooling) and probably metoclopromide (for the vomiting) if he hasn't. If he has, and your dog is still showing those symptoms then the drug combination should be changed to a more favorable one. Please feel free to ask any further question if your are not satisfied and update us on the the progress made.

Let's hope it's not the dreaded parvo. Does the puppy throw up as well? I learnt there is a disease that causes them to stool blood it's just like coccidiosis in chickens. You will still need a vet to treat though. The dog will be needing antibiotics, b complex and drip.

There was a confirmed case of COVID 19 at UMTH. A retired anaesthetic nurse working with MSF in Pulka town of Gwoza LGA. The bad thing is that he has had contact with several health workers both within n outside UMTH (being a health worker). He was brought from Pulka to UMTH by 2 nurses which r also now @ risk (together with their families).
This evening after his demise female friends, relatives n other mourners gathered in his house leading to having contact with his family who have been having direct contact with him since he was brought from Pulka (during his 2 days admission). And the worst of all is he is staying in USUMH staff quarters which is within the hospital premises thereby exposing more health workers n pts as well.

Please be careful of social gatherings within Maiduguri At the moment!
