Putindbutt: Elrufai talk to your boys biko... You can't win power ontop people's blood.
boko haram is way beyond El rufais pay grade oga, na d people with pointed nose dey sponsor boko haram! thats why niger and Burkina faso chase dem away ..........same reason russi is chasing dem in ukraine but we nigerians are as usual in sleep mode! make una continue dey sleep!
ANSMEDIA: Some snippets from the largest and most beautiful fun center in Igboland, the Solution Fun City Awka. Now, people of the southeast are proud to have the biggest and most beautiful fun city in Africa. God bless Igboland.
Impressive pictures of Awka! Clearly Soludo has put a lot of work in Awka....and its showing! Our business men should please come on board with more leisure and social facilities....the kind of crowd I saw at the opening of the park suggests that awka residents have been starved of such facilities for a long time!
helinues: That lies have been flying around for some time whenever some people want to question why the dollar rate currently is above N1500.
The truth is, during the time of naira to dollar N150, it was subsidized dollar as the then president didn't want the rate to go unnecessary higher during his time, they kept subsidizing while the then CBN governor and his cronies were reselling to other countries. It even got to a time we were borrowing just to meet up with the fake N150 rate.
Buhari stopped the borrowing, even though there were still subsidizing, we started seeing N355 rate, as the subsidizing money was reducing, the rate continue going up
President Tinubu came, he said we are not going to subsidized the dollar again, let the real price show it's face and the market will take care of the rest.
Without borrowing, without subsidy, the real actual Dollar rate as from 2023 when president Tinubu took over was N1500. As at this time last year, Naira to dollar rate was around N1535. As at today's rate it's around N1560
Naira to dollar rate 2024 N1535 Naira to dollar rate 2025 N1560
Can we see the stability in the naira to dollar rate under this government?
Amotolongbo: I guess the young man isn’t yet successful and not serious with his life, the reason why he is seriously searching for his father and desperate for his support. If he is successful and serious with his life, the father will be the one searching for him
Nairaland harbors all manner of people! so you have to be successful to look for your father..........even an infant recognizes his father and looks for him! senseless remark
Igbophobia: Seun, why don't you do something about this? Nairaland is a place you hardly see intelligent discussions unlike what we see elsewhere. I remember even Zimbabwean Diaspora forum how things were there. Let's not talk about Quora and Reddit with tens of millions of users. Is it the standard of education we have in Nigeria ir your mods don't know their jobs? How could someone make pedestrian comment that adds no value to a discourse. We are talking about why intelligent tribes seem to be most maligned in Africa and some obtuse fellow is commenting nonsense?
You are wasting your time with the rabid tribalists of the sadwest that feel they have a score to settle with Ndigbo for daring to challenge their champion emilokan is an open contest! They say igbos are inferior to them but they still will not support Biafra leaving the union! Why........Why do you subject yourself to our presenc in the comatose federation!
The onlly person who tried to express your postulation in his own way was nnamdi Kanu.........and people hated him for it! They hated him with an uncommon passion! The truth is the deliberste marginalization of Ndigbo is inspired, influence and sustained by the most evil people on this planet...The British! Left to their devices no African tribe can cage the Igbo people...is it fulani or is it Yorubas..............Our problem is that we have no idea just how devious and evil Britain is.....just look at what roles they played in instigating the war in Ukraine.........until the collective west is caged by a superior power.......the prospects for Africa remains dim....with such exceptional ethic groups in power in a key country like Nigeria!
Image123: Food has landed. No b statistics we go chop today as this number seems not to favour Tinubu. It's not fake stats dear Mansa6. The numbers don't immediately tell you that over 60 to 75% of FDI then came from oil and gas, while today's FDI has just about 6 to 8% from oil and gas. Why the change? International oil companies (IOCs) like Shell, Total, and Chevron are divesting onshore assets. Growth in tech, fintech, and renewables has overtaken oil as FDI magnets. Much of today’s oil investments are: Local-led (Seplat, Oando, Heirs Holdings), financed through debt or equity, not direct foreign inflows. This is the from consumption to production rhetoric being done already. Today we have trade surplus, not deficit. We're exporting more than importing.
Don't let any sorry opposition deceive you that they will do better. They are just like those boys promising a girl just the tip.
Oga ! billion dollars os like what Counties attract in the United states..........! billion dollars is not upto the research budget of major colleges not to talk of their investments in 1 year! I billon dollars is too poor no matter how the pizza is sliced! so much for the much trumpeted yoruba managerial acumen! The truth is that Yorubas are not in Aso rock to grow Nigeria's economy...........this is an emilokan regime established to loot Nigeria silly on behalf of whatever interests Tinubu represents!
The true yoruba men....we all grew up liking, his longevity and ever young looks is to be studied..........this guy was like my shadow growing up....he pops up in every genre.....from the recorded plays with baba mero or is it baba sala...to papi luwe......I wish him greater health to enjoy his children and grad children!
WizardOfNG: Aren't you been obtusely and deliberately mischievous here? Isn't Tinubu's work to deregulate and unbundle the power sector totally, so that States can attract private sector partners in productive power PPP solutions, not part of promises to enhance power supply nationally?
Even now, the FG is still investing in power infrastructure. Yet the overarching plan of the Tinubu Government, from the start, is for modular and embedded supply , under a fully deregulated power sector, to be part of the power solutions mix.
If is not healthy to wake daily looking for bad names to give a Dog that you hate to encourage it's lynching. Some of you seem so devoted to senseless, hateful and unobjective criticism that it is clear you have no sincere interest in Nigeria's progress.
Look below at what Lagos is doing since full deregulation of the power sector has now been ratified.
Go and attack your respective Governors to work. PBAT is doing well and we are not fooled by your emergency lovers of the "Zoo" antics.
Na you carry your mouth call your @crime scene@ a zoo! after expropriating the energy resources of the indigenous people of the Lugardian contraption and sharing it amongst your acolytes....you now come out with your ill-digested decentralization of the power sector!
Afterall lagos got high powered gas pipeline as far back as 30 years ago, in fact the same gas pipeline gets to Accra ...but silly me, owerri does not have a gas pipeline network never mind that the richest gas fields in Ohaji is less than 20 miles from Owerri.........let us not talk of Onitsha and Enugu that are hundreds of miles away! The thing abut you crafty and slimy bunch is that you simply do not know what fairness and justice is! Anyway Igbo states are already moving cos we have always been pioneers.............Geometric launched gis osisioma power station 2 decades ago b4 Niheria happened to him...........even now he is finding it hard to get gas but we move all the same INSPITE of the zuuu...! We did it b4 y'all imagined it!
IPOB DISTORTS KENYA COURT MATTER ON NNAMDI KANU. HERE'S THE TRUTH OF IT!!!!!!
Hello everyone,
You may have already seen IPOB's media machinery distorting the implications of the verdict of the Kenya High Court. Briefly, that court awarded Nnamdi Kanu some compensation money and said that his being taken from Kenya was irregular. IPOB have been promoting that as a "victory" whereas it has NO BEARING on the terrorism charges that Kanu is facing and on the trial.
Below is an explanation👇🏽. Do share it widely to your networks because that violent street gang IPOB and their gang leader Nnamdi Kanu will face the people for the blood shedding in Igboland and the criminal scam for wealth that is their "Biafra Restoration" tomfoolery.
Good morning
KENYAN COURT RULING AND AWARD OF MONETARY DAMAGES ON MODE OF APPREHENSION IS IRRELEVANT AND INCONSEQUENTIAL TO THE PROCEEDINGS IN ABUJA COURT.
As has become customary to the Internet megaphones and propaganda machinery of the the Rogue Biafra Franchise, the story of the Ruling of a Kenyan High Court regarding the mode of apprehension of Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya and the award of monetary damages by that Court has been magnified exponentially to deceive the ill-informed.
For the avoidance of doubt, the judgment from the Kenyan Court does not in any way address or affect any part of the charges against Nnamdi Kanu before the Court in Abuja and so that Judgment is tangential to, and totally inconsequential to the proceedings in Abuja.
The trademark distortion and exaggeration of the import of the Kenyan Court’s Judgment, serves only the obfuscation and deception objectives of IPOB propaganda noise on the internet and as some kind of psychological elixir to the ignorant and dishonest IPOB bandwagon, just as their bogus lies about Discharge and Acquittal by the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court did.
Even the Courts in Nigeria had described the mode of apprehension in Kenya as extraordinary renditioning outside extradition procedures, but that again is inconsequential considering the nature of the Crimes for which the accused was required to be brought before the Court in Nigeria.
This clarification became necessary as a preliminary response to enquiries from members of the public concerning the matter and also as a part of guiding the expectations of those, (especially the Igbo, home and abroad), who would otherwise have been hoodwinked by the shenanigans of IPOB Propaganda machinery.
Let it be recalled that there was a Court Judgement from an Umuahia Court awarding billions of Naira in monetary damages to the same accused person but on a subject totally unrelated to the charges against him before the Federal High Court in Abuja. That is precisely the situation with the Kenyan Court Ruling.
You are a now the presiding judge of the Federal high court Abujs...justicecOmotosho? Stop being obscurantist and a closeted bigot......if the Kenyan judgement is irrelevant...what about the federal appeal court judgements that dismissed and acquitted Kanu based on the same extraordinary rendition........it's just politics that forced Tinubu to appealvthatvruling to the Supreme court...! Apc wants that case as a political football............if the govt was alive to its responsibility, there will be no need for the people to resort to self help to defend their people and lands! .
1Alex: This judgment is a big deal, no matter where you stand on the issue. The Kenyan High Court didn’t just say Kanu was treated unfairly, they clearly ruled that his abduction and transfer to Nigeria was illegal and unconstitutional. That’s not a small thing. It means both the Kenyan and Nigerian governments acted outside the law.
IPOB has every reason to see this as a win, and it strengthens their argument that what happened wasn't extradition but a forced rendition.
The compensation might not change much on the ground, but the legal precedent it sets could have long-term effects. It also raises serious questions about accountability, will anyone in either government ever be held responsible?
People simply do not realize just how unruly and lawless Nigeria appears to the global community! This is singular biggest reason why big co t portions like Apple,Amazon and Amazon can never establish in Nigeria.......tribal Nigerians cannot seem to link our lawless institutions to our shambolic economic performance since Obj left Power!
What people do not remember is that your Nigerian Appeal court had already dismissed all the cases against Kanu over 2 years ago based on the extraordinary rendition of Kanu....but of course being Igbo Kanu has to be messed up and taught to know his place....... yet the same feckless Tinubu administration has been unable to arrest and try a single Boko Haram nor fulani banditry case....the disappointment I have for this yoruba dominated administration I'm knows no measure!
Putindbutt: The President has signed a new amendment bill to the 2024 bill. He has fully decentralized power and removed the load totally from the federal to the states.
..This is the kind c of fundamental changes a former nadeco chieftain like Tinubu should have been making since....not playing tribal politics....next is state police?
TimeManager: Kudos to Prof. Benedict Oramah GCON, I read through the projects and development his leadership initiated and supported in Nigeria and I was totally blown away.
-Kiss the truth!
Have you seen afreximbank's hospital in Abuja? Drama is a silent achiever
Kosiso12: Civil War: Come clean on your deals with Britain, Obidigbo tasks Gowon
Elder statesman and President of Osisioma Foundation, Dr Chike Obidigbo, has advised Nigeria’s former military Head of State, Retd General Yakubu Gowon, to use the remaining days of his eventful life to make peace with God and humanity.
Obidigbo noted that as a Christian the pursuit of such ends should be uppermost in Gowon’s heart at this point in his life’s journey. He regretted that shortly after a former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, released his autobiography “A Journey In Service,” Gowon had been making confusing and contradictory public statements about Nigeria’s civil war that tend to inspire hate rather than heal the country.
Recall that the Zaria-born former Head of State, had, in the course of appearances in national television talked about the genesis of Nigeria versus Biafra Civil War.
Gowon had pointed out that the collapse of the Aburi Accord and Lt. Colonel Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s insistence on regional military command led to the war, adding that at the time of the meeting he had fever and didn’t know how Ojukwu cornered him into signing what he did not agree with.
But, describing Gowon’s explanations as absolute hogwash, Obidigbo remarked that at his age, Gowon should be telling Nigerians the truth and nothing but the truth about the war, just as Babangida did.
“One thing Gowon should be very clear about is the truth. Though Gowon may not have wanted the war, forces beyond him particularly British and Fulani interests compelled him to renege on the agreement entered at Aburi.
“And, until the former head of state makes these facts known through public confession, his soul may not experience peace. Those of us who happened to be a little close to the then Governor of Eastern region, Lt. Colonel Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, knew that Ojukwu never ever wanted that war. “Ojukwu never wanted Biafra to secede from Nigeria. He made this very clear to a team from the British Embassy in Lagos led by the then British High Commissioner in Enugu, Mr Parker, alongside the representatives of Shell Petroleum, who visited him shortly before the declaration of Biafra.
“They tried everything possible to convince Ojukwu to secede. Ojukwu gave them three reasons why Biafra cannot secede. One was that the Igbo, being very itinerant people, needed the space provided by Nigeria to ply their trade.
“Secondly, he told his visitors that the Eastern region did not have the weapons and armament to prosecute a war, adding that the cohesion in the then Nigeria military would make it odd for the soldiers to confront each other in a war,” Obidigbo narrated.
He pointed out that while the same British was compelling Gowon to reject the Aburi agreement, they made some offers to Ojukwu through the British High Commissioner and Representatives of Shell.
“Britain assured Ojukwu that they will talk Nigeria out of any plan to fight Biafra if Ojukwu agrees to secede. They disclosed that the huge arrears of royalties accruable to Nigeria from Shell, would be paid to Ojukwu in case of any eventuality. “That Gowon is still hiding these facts is very unfair and very unfortunate. As a Christian, he should stop telling lies, and come out plain with the truth of what transpired so that God and humanity will forgive him and create a good passage for him in the journey into eternity,” the Elder states man stated.
While reiterating that Colonel Ojukwu never caused the war, Obidigbo said Gowon’s naivety coupled with the insistence of Britain and Fulani elements in Nigeria forced him to rely on the deceptive false promises of imperialist agents to plunge the country into war.
“Ojukwu informed Gowon that the security of life and property of his people can no longer be guaranteed in Nigeria, stressing that since Nigeria was not ready to go into destruction, let us go our separate ways.
“It is the same Gowon that brought the war down to us and did everything possible with the help of the British to cause massive genocide, such that if it was possible, they would have cleared out everything Igbo on the face of the earth. “It is ironical that the same British that caused total genocide and blockade against Biafra, are crying out that Israel is visiting genocide on Palestinians,” he lamented.
Obidigbo wondered why the former Head of State could not admit that he was a mere puppet of his British and Fulani masters and apologise for his mistakes, instead of opening up old wounds.
He stated, “I think Gowon is doing much harm to himself with his recent public utterances. He should be advised to use the remaining days of his life to package his reputation properly.
“It is regrettable that a man who presided over the affairs of this country at a very young age could not with the benefit of hindsight admit that he was naïve and unprepared for the onerous task that was trust on him.
“He was ill-prepared for the task of managing the affairs of the multi-ethnic new republic that was still held on the juggler by the exiting colonial masters.
“Now, instead of documenting his experiences in a book form, just like Babangida did, Gowon has continued to embarrass himself further by making unsubstantiated claims when most of his fellow actors are no longer available to rebut his claims. “Some people have pointed out that Gowon’s naivety brought the civil war upon Nigeria. His recent utterances seem to underscore the point that he was indeed an accidental leader bereft of purpose or creative ideas to build a nation.
“Nigerians are yet to hear Gowon’s suggestions for addressing the endless bloodletting in his Benue Plateau axis. Rather, he prefers to take Nigerians back to the painful past which was a major contributor to the missed opportunities for genuine and enduring statecraft.”
He noted that with what is currently happening in the former Benue Plateau, Gowon will remember how Ojukwu told him that the way his (Ojukwu’s) people are being massacred for no just cause is the same way his own people will face the music at the appropriate time. “Who knows, he must have been shamed by Babangida’s contributions to nation building exposes his nine years of pogrom, death and division in the country
“Gowon’s current line of reasoning retains the lack of distinction, statesmanship, and poise that defined his nine years of headship of Nigeria’s first military administration.
“I was taken aback when I heard the former Head of State say, in his Arise Television interview, that ‘we just went there, as far as we were concerned, to meet as officers and then agree to get back home and resolve the problem at home. That was my understanding, but that was not Ojukwu’s understanding.’
“As Igbo, we have continued to lick our wounds, but the pain from this continuing attempt to slant the narrative against an innocent people goes deep. Babangida’s book has really pricked the conscience of those who are prepared to confess their sins and seek forgiveness for their attacks on the Igbo people.”
Britain is Babylon 's mother.........a cesspit of global evil! There day of reckoning approaches..........Babylon will be sold to the sebeans..........Islam will rule the collective west! A Muslim is mayor of London......a Muslim is about to become Mayor c of New york.............they forced fulani jihadism on Ndigbo but God has handed them over to the sebeans thru the backdoor ..ndiala
Yujin: One Nigeria... this is what you get when your army is a relic of the British conquering army that seize your people's freedom in the late 1800s. That army is what struck in June 1966. They remain still today to do the bidding of Fulanis and their British allies. When you check BBCs most recent report on the killings going on in Nigeria, they still report it as Farmers/Herders clash even when everyone knows its a land grab agenda unfolding. One Nigeria is a cover for genocide and cleansing indigenous people of their ancestral lands.
In just one paragraph you have described 100% what is actually going on in Nigeria! You ask yourself this pertinent question, why is it that leader after leader cannot take on the fulanis? The answer is that Obasanjo,Jonathan ,Buhari and now Tinubu know that Great Britain owns Nigeria till tommorrow........If they go against the fulanis, they will be going against British and by extension Western hegemonic rule over Nigeria and her resources! Tafawa balewa declared Nigeria a republic and he was promptly Gaddafied by Mi6 proxies Ifeajuna and his useless gang of fools! Murtala nationalized British assets in Nigeria and he was saddamed by another Mi6 acolyte Dimka.............use your tongue to count your teeth!
helinues: The Kenyans are now protesting for fun. The finance bill which they protested about exactly a year today, 85% of the bill was still passed which is currently in operation.
If the main protest did not achieve any meaningful thing, what's the meaning of remembrance day protest again?
As a Police officer, your duty is not to allow the protesters to get to X,Y,Z , but the protesters are not interested in anyone stopping them to get to their destination, what do you think would happen?
las las 5 years from now Alhaji Ronu Agbado will come down,,ndiyoruba go sit down and rest!
Yugoslavia sent their pilots to fly Nigerian planes during the Nigerian Biafra war.......they have crumbled like cookies, uSSR sent arms and ammo to Nigeria during the civil war...they have crumbled into 11 nations including Russia.........the United Kingdom supplied tanks to Nigeria and gave Nigeria global diplomatic cover....they have crumbled into an almost free Scotland and almost independent northern Ireland republic....even Wales may soon get an independent parliament..........Do not mess with Umuchineke...Ndigbo! Ee go pain you for body!
christistruth01: Ok Just listen to Azikiwe una Father. Did Azikiwe una father lie about Ojukwu and his henchmen?
Did Azikiwe lie when Azikiwe told you his own flesh and blood that Ojukwu had blindfolded and hoodwinked all of you into fighting a War?
To hoodwink means to deceive!!
Azikiwe is here telling his people that Ojukwu deceived them into fighting a War. Azikiwe was an insider!! Just look at the agony and pain for his people in his face as he was battling to save them!!
Ojukwu refused to listen to Azikiwe's plea and after this speech at least another half a million precious souls who could have been saved and lived perished.
Let Ohaneze admit that what Ojukwu presented at Aburi was almost the same as the Regional Autonomous system the British had brilliantly designed and which Gen Ironsi had destroyed with Ojukwu's full and eager support
Peterobiisathie: Some blocks are still standing Lagos State Government should try and pull everything down I want to check if Lagos is still a no man’s land
People who travel should not be hostile to settlers amongst them........who japa pass ndiyoruba? Anybody who knows a little about spiritual laws know yorubas have been sowing the seeds of their own persecution....and it will fall like rain on them sooner than later......in Nigeria or outside

Isreal is calling for an emergency ceasefire because they are running out of air defense missiles..........a war of attrition has never favored Isreal! 90 million Iran versus 9 million Isreal.....na who go tire first? Isreal is slightly larger than Lagos.......as against Iran that is larger than Nigeria! Iran is playing for time..... Isreal does not have the luxury of time cos in time to come Iran will rebuild her nuclear enrichment programme!
Tinubuadvocate: Russia need to be careful so that they will not regret big time for going to war with United states, Japan, Germany, France even Poland and Ukraine.
Russia should know that its real target of this countries by the time the war start they will even stop attacking iran the full attention will focus on Russia...
Iran is looking for a formidable alliance with China and Russia the USA latest attack on Iran ,Iran are confused they were thinking maybe they should retaliate or not they are waiting for Russia and China to suggest for them.
Iran should just agree with negotiations.
Oga, The western nations are already fighting Russia through their proxy Ukraine...
Karikashi: This terrorists are something else. Same thing happening in Iran. They will condemn using western tools but will be demanding to own a nuclear weapons discovered by the west.
You are an evil liar...Iran my dear is far more westernized than your perennial sh×thole you call your country! Iran sends their own domestically built satellite into space using their own rockets........you must be high on something!

They think that they are dealing with feckless Nigeria...where their lackeys in APC have been used as proxies to destroy Nigeria with Boko haram and fulani banditry..........Isreal is the biggest purveyor of terrorism and gay lifestyle in the universe........ A totally evil place.........they have far more connections with Islamic fundamentalsm in Nigeria than the naive xtian population can ever imagine!
abuzz33: Nigeria's problem is not lack of money for infrastructure it's lack of system planning.
Basic systems towns in America with 50,000 people do, no Nigerian city can boast of. Scheduled bus systems for example. I visited a town of less than 30,000 people in Texas. They used Ford 30 seater buses to provide public transport with bus stops across a town spanning 20 miles. Tell me when you look at Onitsha or Awka how hard is it to design routes, stops and schedules?
Public scheduled transport makes life in cities easier, safer, less chaotic and cheaper. The current reality of tens of thousands of tricycles clogging junctions and streets is typical primitive lack of planning. A city dweller spends hundreds of naira shuttling from point a to point b over very short distances. But the dullards in ministry of transport can't do public transport nor are they intelligent enough to go get help from advanced countries.
Or water and waste systems. Forget city-wide. Just take the COOU Teaching Hospital in Awka. They built an array of buildings but ask yourself why didn't they build an integrated water and sewage system in the hospital complex? Basic stuff. Again lack of planning and lack of sense to source experts.
Storm drains is not new technology and it doesn't cost billions. Obi built Storm drains in Awka that diverted raging water flows away from Unizik Temp Site and the formerly swampy akwatta junction on the expressway. He built 10 foot open drains and pits and an underground pipe opposite what is now Solution Fun City under the expressway channeling the flood to a canal on the other side. That was a limited solution to save the expressway from constant maintenance. But no integrated solution. Eke Awka side still floods, the Obunagu part of the town still floods. It says that better planning is needed not reactive work of a particular governor.
We need to do a lot better and if we can't do it then get help and learn from experts. As a start ANSG need to restore planning in its institutions and go to EU,China and ask them to donate experts in water, sewage, transport, traffic control to help PLAN not money. Then design these systems for major cities over 50,000 in population and feasible 30 year workplans.
I wonder what happened with the UN habitat plan for Awka that Obi launched........is Soludo not a former World Bank consultant........these issues are not alien to him........thr least he can do is to update the plan and use it as a guide!
Maybe he is actually using it...who knows? Soludo has left his mark on Awka in a positive way but Ndi Anambra are so enterprising ....that all he needs to do is to plan and facilitate..........our people will do the rest! May God grant Soludo speed and wisdon!
