Pls, I thank you all, I will fully be back again here.  Honestly, I'm signing-in today for the first time this year because I promised not to trade forex for a year, though not easy to keep promise. I will start by October - by God's grace.  Though, i was on the verge of trading today when I saw trade direction which would have given me good profit, but i quickly logged-out. I only use my phone to check mails. Now, I can't see you all here.  It is true that we can only flourish with the coming of others like you guys.  So, the scales are tipping away from what it used to take for people to get ahead.

Oby, Carlosein, Viee, Lawyer, Lindiwe, Lady, Pamperme etc - thank you all.  I hope to meet you all here once again.  I went thru death but God said it wasn't yet time.  I will be out again from here for a while.

I found it difficult to locate this thread and it is now in 17th page.  I read thru some pages here and got tired.  The Admin guy tried to change the title of this thread.  According to you guys.

I am done with pursing material things.  It’s a pity to say this, I was like that foolish man in the bible who thought after getting everything, he would relax and enjoy it, but that very night his soul was demanded from him.  I longed to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty now to first accomplish what will give my soul joy after life on earth.  Death can come anytime.  Starting very small, ask yourself: in a world where devil operate and you are not strong in Jesus, what dream might you begin with?  You might have been thinking that “Ebos” just stayed away from this site, but the truth is that if not by the special grace of God you would not have heard from Ebos again.  Ebos funeral service would have since been concluded and forgotten.

He was healthy on that faithful day, no sickness of any kind, no symptoms, but out of a sudden something invisible hit him on the rib, he started shouting.  It was exactly the pain of a knife being stabbed constantly in his rib but the only different was that no blood was coming out but the pain was that of a knife.  He kept on shouting and could not walk again.  The good friends around quickly carried him and rushed him to the hospital.  While on his way, he kept on getting the sharp pain of a dagger, all his body system changed and he started vomiting.  At the hospital, 12 injections and drip given immediately and the doctor diagnoised him but nothing was discovered. Pastors, societies and groups came to the hospital praying while a mobile phone was placed on my ears to join other Pastors and other groups praying from far away upon getting the news because they could not come.  For 3 days I did not walk.
I was later taken to my church and a Priest prayed and held a confession for me and everybody around was crying and waiting for Ebos to have his last breathe.

The truth must be said.  It was a neighbour (one Alhaji – Alfa) who came in to see me(remember he is my neighbor) and he immediately asked me my full names and that of my mother.  They told him, he went to his house, came back and said it was an attack.  The Pastors that prayed said the same thing.  It was the Alhaji that gave me medicine and after two hours, I was able to stand up for the first time in 3 days.  I’m still taking medicine but my second home now is church.  I have been participating in this October Devotion. It’s only God that can fight this battle for me.  First, it was my father who was killed just 2 days after he took permission from his company and left Lagos for Port Harcourt to see us, but my mother travelled to my home town.  Then my father proceeded to my town to see my mother.  Before we could know it, the grave was wide open to receive my father’s body. That was how he ended his life.  Second, it was my mother.  Any person that knows my mother shed tears on seeing her condition. She is a bit better right now.  Third, I now become their target.  We have done nothing. We are not dragging anything, nothing. I said nothing of any kind.  My brother had accident just 4 days he bought his car and on his way to see my mother in the hospital - and that was the end of that car.  We thank God for saving his life.

I’m getting better right now.  I never thought this kind of thing would happen to me.  Probably, I allowed myself to be carried away by material things.  I prayed less and that might be the reason why I was hit quite bad. At a point, I was praying for death because of the pain I was passing through. That is how Ebos would have ended his life but I give God the Glory.

She will be coming to Lagos in October to meet my sister.  Her health is better than before.  I will also be coming to Lagos at least 3 times in a month. Just to visit her.

History of Mr Hurricane Ike

Dis hurricane Ike was an Igbo man from my town (umuahia) sold to a white man during the slave trade.  Them torture  the man (Ike) and when he wan die, na him he curse those around that area say, he go come back for a revenge but them no understand wetin Ike dey talk as he was weak because of the torture.   Again, dey no remember say "Ike" means strength or power.  So, the man dey vex and now him dey show power.  Anyway, may those souls MR Hurricane Ike killed rest in peace.  Ike him vex don too much, let him calm down, it's enough.

Years after that, na him Ike come dey riot everywhere to avenge the torture and his death. His first attack was when ,   to be continued

Catholic always on top! "It will always stay on top of the other threads" Ok, an “Award” has finally been given to this very thread?  So, Award Ceremony must be celebrated. Meanwhile, I will never forget it, this thread was posted to share the faith Catholicism and thinking strategy we both have in common but it later transmuted into unpleasant and maddening situation.   But to discover a peaceful and better alternative strategy that will enable us forge ahead with this thread, we allowed unbearable rejoinders from which we learned wisdom and discovered what would do, by finding out what would not do and it helped us focus our energies by not dwelling on the experience (argument) that virtually smashed Catholic faithful on this site.    I used to believe totally that those who win are the ones who persevere.  It’s true but not always.  If we had persevered and continued in that unnecessary argument without trying to embrace alternative strategy to keep this thread alive, maybe this Award would not have been possible today.  At that time, I tried to give up, (just like few other Catholics) forget about Nairaland and devote my time for something else entirely, but one message came to my mind that we must try a different approach, a new route to give peace a chance.  That new route was to avoid any further argument.  Nevertheless, this should be seen as part of progress to Catholics and other Christians. They should learn from us as usual.  Catholic teach every good thing.

I didn't know you are a politician.  But remember that the invasion of Iraq was not really because of Osama alone.  Though, they could not find him but apart from Osama there were and are still many Osamas in Iraq.  US killed thousands of them and so, Osama or no Osama in Iraq does not really matter.  Other Osamas were killed.

Listen, Sarah Palin's daughter being pregnant should not be taken as a bourn out to her or Republican campaign to get to the White-house.   She must not keep mute and allow evil triumph just because her daughter is pregnant.  The woman believe that her daughter’s pregnancy is one setback that must be turned into wisdom—as one more mysterious clue to America way of life that needs to be opened and explored to reach the next triumphant moment. Americans need to know that an end to abortion is an important missing piece of information about what they need to include in their vision for change.  Obama is unfortunate for this chance to learn something so valuable.  He’s going to fail and for those of us who think Obama being a black man is a blessing to Africans should better have a rethink.  I listened to McCain’s debate and it was superb, and he’s more intelligent than Obama.

I believe that Republicans try to stay mindful of the fact that whatever they focus on grows strongest and beneficial to the world and they do their best to breathe deeply and make sure they are focusing on what America and the world want - not what they don't want.  Iraq war for a example is a project I support anytime but many people have continued to lash Bush for that war without getting the terrorist real message.  After America is destroyed, Britain will follow and their plan to Islamize the whole world is their for all to see.  We need someone who will continue from where Bush will stop until every terrorist group is found and eliminated.
