appeal that will be sorted by who? do they not understand what is meant by interlocutory injunction?
you can’t appeal an interlocutory injunction
literates indeed
they should be teaching while the court case continues: that is the directive. ASUU president is putting himself in trouble if he flouts this directive by Nigerian Courts.
Courts that have sacked governors and senators. Who born you? |

budaatum: I was not giving you quality education before, but you now seriously think some court would force me back to class to give you quality or any education for free now?
It may not be fault of student, but I can't understand how you expect me to give you my produce without payment. Did I teach you such nonsense, that you should take your own produce to market and give it away for free? How did I tell you to pay for your shop and your electric in that shop? Abi shop landlord and NEPA will dash you their own product for free too, and government will not tax you because it's all free?
Why don't you ask those who should pay me to pay me so I can give you my produce instead of expecting me to give it for you for free?
Some people! if someone is owing you, go and fight him in court after all the case is in court and leave me alone. why are you afraid of the court ? are you not learned ? or you can’t defend yourself ? let me ask you, who will pay for my 7-8 months rent that have wasted cause you are on strike ? i paid my part by paying you your school fees o. fools |

But if you think forcing me to teach you means I will, well I guess you'd be happy with whatever nonsense I teach you, because you can not force you me to teach you what's in my head if I don't want to!

Buhari and APC government that don't respect rule of law, expects ASSU to obey a court order... No government has disrespected the judiciary and court of law, like PMB and APC, so ASSU and NANS can do as they please, they are following the footsteps of this government.
Atiku is coming contempt of court order attracts fines and jail terms. ASUU shouldn’t copy government in disobeying court orders, it has grievous fines. government can only do it because they are government. is like parable of rat and lizard swimming, rat comes out soaked, lizard comes out dry. ASUU will regret it. |

Jflex07: Do you think the lecturers will lecture properly? On a normal day, these lecturers show nonchanllant attitude towards the teaching of the students ,now you are using the court to force them to go to classes. My take is that dialogue is still the best way of solving issues like this because sooner or later ASUU will still go on strike again, in other words, the strike continues.. court proceedings will continue while students are in classroom. this is just a half-time court ruling. |

Sucre6: Lols this is just a court order from a mere industrial court, they can issue orders but they don't have the power under the law the enforce the order, the only court that has such powers is Supreme Court, now ASUU may decide to sue FG to the Supreme Court praying to the court to set aside judgment of the Supreme Court and start matters afresh, this case may linger more than u think because court case no dey finish quick, it is matter of the law, no be strength dem dey use do am do you even understand legal proceedings ? ASUU can’t take this case to supreme court unless it goes through appeal court first. and it is an interlocutory injunction meaning NO APPEAL allowed concerning this injunction to resume. they can only appeal the final verdict as the court case has not ended yet. |

Sulele04: You seem to be knowledgeable on this case.
So when do you reckon that schools will be reopened, is there a specific date ordered by the court.
I understand that this case was an intercoutory interjection, so it is unappealable.
So what of the meeting with reps yesterday will ot be affected by this court order, also the main casenin court will it also continue despite the off the court negotiations. the minutes of the meeting with reps yesterday is still valid. but if ASUU wants it to count, they have to file the outcome of the minute in their next proceeding with FG at court as this case is not over. concerning the date schools will be reopened. ASUU president will have to order all zonal headquarters to call off the strike, and different universities will have no choice but to fix the nearest-by monday as their resumption of lectures day. we await ASUU president reply to this court injunction, if he decides to disobey it, grave mistake by him as contempt of court order attracts fines and jail terms. |

Ebubu: the final verdict on the case between ASUU and FG is yet to be given. this can take months and even years if it gets to supreme court.
the final verdict of this industrial court will be held on their next sitting, it is the result of this final verdict that can be appealed, and not the order to call off strike.
the order is to call off strike while final verdict is being deliberated at the court. they can appeal that final verdict, but the court forbids them from appealing this instruction to call off while case continues at court,
the judge prayed it will be wicked to keep students at home till the end of the court case considering court cases take months and years to deliver a judgement. they can appeal that final judgement, not this instruction to call off strike while final verdict is awaited. xavage7 read this |
