When the wives and daughter are sleeping at the hospital, the husband and son are running around getting money for the hospital bills. If everyone sleep in the hospital, how will they settle the bills? Besides, sleeping in the hospital is not the yardstick to measure caring and loving.
A child is a child irrespective of the gender.
This is true because without money for treatment, they wouldn't be admitted in the hospital. Again, in the African traditional culture a family without a male child is not regarded.
However, I think a female child is as important as a male child.
Nigerian author Reno Omokri has penned down a post explaining why female kids are way more valuable than male kids.
According to Omokri, female children are loyal and this is a thing that can not be said for most male children.
In his words;
”Dear men, Take a tour of any hospital of your choice. You will see wives and daughters sleeping there because of their husbands and fathers. Hardly will you find a husband or son. And you are saying you don’t want a female child. You are a FOOL! All children are valuable, but a girl child is especially valuable, because women are likely to be more loyal than men. Christ had 12 disciples. But how many of them were at Golgotha during his death? Only one. Yet, 4 of His female followers were there. Loyalty is a WOMAN!”
Please when will Enugu relax their lockdown.... People are tired and bored staying at home.
Governor Ugwuanyi should be considerate. We are hungry, let him at least relax it, so men can go hustle. cc: OEPHIUS
kolemark22: It's a sad situation that we as a nation find ourselves in this position in the first place. The concept of almajiri should not even arise if we are a nation with a progressive and goal driven people. You are not ready to take care of a family, why create one?
Governor Elrufai has made it clear the north will do away with this system, Kudos to them.
Hello Sir, thank you for bringing this update to us. However, I want to find out how much a plot of land is sold close to this airport. I intend to invest in landed properties around there. I anticipate your reply.... here is my Email chukwuebukaokechi9@gmail.com
Good day my good people of Nairaland. I thank God that the lockdown will soon be gradually eased by 4th May.
Please, I'm concerned about about NYSC Batch B.... Even though I graduated late last year, my school did not send our names for service. So, we were told that once names for batch B is called for, we will be going. It's obvious that batch A stream 1 are not done with camp and batch A stream 2 are not done with registration.... Please, I want to know if batch B stream 1 will still leave for camp by June as usual. Thanks.
oforjide: don't mind those ignoramus bro the original name is umuleri but after their war with aguleri they foolishly removed "L" so that It willn't sound as if the are related to aguleri. Building airport in umueri is dangerous I know the history of that community very well but becos my friend is from there, I won't say anything but my advice to Anambra state govt is to have a rethink. building airport in umueri is a death trap, yes they have the landmark but airport or any infrastructure that will attract people in umueri is dangerous.
I disagree with you bro. Umueri is very peaceful community. Our war with Aguleri is a thing of the past. Infact we are best of friends now.
Thank God for our Igwe HRM Sir Ben Emeka, with him on the throne, nothing will ever go wrong. Aguleri and Umuleri are one family.... if I may ask when last did you hear of any issues amongst us?

Heineken: nice one boss.. Ogadinma baba. We can stop that tribalism here. It's wrong.
Exactly bro. My observation is that some of the people who make tribalist comments here claiming to be Igbo or Yoruba are not even from these tribes.
They just want to create confusion and heated arguments. Well, I have learnt to ignore them all.
I love Yoruba people. Infact one of my in-laws is Yoruba, and he has really helped my life. Let's stop all these rubbish tribalism here. It's not helping us.
